  • Yet another video showing the Fancy Feast stove.
Follow me as I show you how to make this simple but versatile stove.
In a hut or using a windshield I can normally get 500mL to a rolling boil with 25mL of methylated spirits (ethanol) but in tis video it didnt quite get there.
I investigated further and the measuring cup I used was only 20mL not 25 so that makes sense.
Anyway have a go. Next week I will make a penny stove.

Meths stoves from cans to Trangia are a terrible addiction! :) Played around with those catfood tins and also with siphon stoves - I've settled on a Kojin style stove now. Worth checking out - safer, no meths waste or having to tip back into bottle. Seems just as efficient due to the wick. Do need a separate stand - 12.5mmx12.5mm mesh works a treat. Lighter overall, and less space 👍👍

I'm sorry. I didn't realize that you are old enough now to become crazy cat people like we are in this house. I have one. works well in a blind or stand. It all fits in my cup.

You should reduce the size of the holes.

      I will try that. Thanks

@@bagheerasadventures, please do not make staggered holes ( make it only 1 line of holes by bringing the bottom holes between the top holes) . This will eliminate alcohol leaking out and also allow you to pour alcohol for longer looking.
