See I like Bryson for all the cool little tricks he comes up with (whether they work or not is a different story) but by god I always feel bad for whoever he is playing with. Like this man is gonna start checking the position of Venus in the sky so its gravitational pull doesn't affect his putting stroke I swear.
Without spectators, caddies, cameras and marshalls how many balls would these guys lose? I swear they'd be losing 6 strokes for penalty shots every round.
These players probably have a pretty good feel for where their misses go, 6 strokes sounds like a lot in a round even if theyre as far from the fairway as fleetwood in this one.
You'd be surprised. Last year there were no spectators nor marshals on the European Tour events all year and the players would always know where to look, and very rarely lost any balls. @@mrsmartypants_1 the argument OP is making is that no matter how far you hit your drive it’s still “1” on the scorecard, no where in there did OB come into discussion, but since you bring it up, I’ve made the point clear that you can very well hit a put OB, so you still have the same exact variance of stroke lining up to a putt or drive. So what Bryson did at the Masters was not credible? LIV is hardly a "micky mouse" tournament association. Saying that is pretty disrespectful to the talent that plays on the LIV circuit. Bryson is ranked 110 in the world so don't let jealousy determine your respect for another man.
Bryson stunk in this mismatch. Fleetwood was not at his best, but Bryson was at his worst. He couldn't hit a wedge or make a putt. That said, he's improved a lot for 2024. He's finding more fairways with his driver, hitting much more accurate wedges, and judging greens far better.
