Several years from now, this match will become more significant when we realized that we got to see Tiger play Rory 1v1 in a completely serious and competitive golf match with both in good form 👏

Iron play and putting. That's what separated Tiger. Not too many golfers have that combination.

@@hardoff its is a hard task to be an good editor and since youtube everybody thinks its not a qualified task, but this is why poeple used to go to film school. just editing the best shots together does not tell a story. You would see how hard a task it is given 9 hours of footage and asked edit it into a 90minute movie.

In the 2019 Masters telecast - you'll here them reference this Rory v Tiger match as big moment for Tiger mentally and physically realizing he could win against the best again, and turn it on when needed
the core group of guys that tiger openly embraced and inspired are the very ones that bolstered him after he had that horrific crash. edification goes both ways and it is nice to see two friends cherish/respect each other while bringing it with a great round of golf.

I am a rather new golf fan and I have to say this tournament with it 1 vs 1 format is great. Far more exciting than normal tournaments
And are unfortunately not doing this tourney anymore inexplicably
You will love the Ryder Cup then. Look out for it later this year. Its a team match play event that pits USA vs Europe. Its super exciting and all the golfers show much more passion compared to when they are on tour. Definitely one of the best event in golf.

A 44-year-old limited PGA play Tiger woods vs. a 30-year-old active PGA play Rory Mcilroy. Let that sink in how much of a GOAT Tiger is. Props to Rory for fighting as hard as he did in all those conditions.

When was that. Rory’s ball speed was 176. Now it’s routinely over 180. But it’s amazing how tiger still gets that speed with all the injuries. Was fun to watch.

What a joy to be able to see this match.Looking forward to more tiger next month. I know it's a lot to ask but...one more win? Tiger won't play in any of the smaller tournaments to get that last win for 83. That's some class.

You could tell at 16 when Tiger hit the bunker he got mad, because the next shot I recognized the old Tiger from watching all his masters broadcasts and what not, so exciting I want him to come back and flip the golf world over one last time. 🐯

Tiger was so good around this time. It’s sad that he had to get into that accident :(. I don’t think he will ever be the same. He can’t play more than 2 rounds of golf without significant pain. If he ever wins a golf tournament again it would be a miracle

The only other athletes I've seen with Tiger's killer instinct are Michael Jordan and Michael Phelps. It seemed like anytime any of those 3 sensed any kind of weakness in an opponent it was a wrap.

That 16th hole is one of the only times I could realistically say I play just like Rory 😂

I always wonder how far a 26 year old Tiger who tore up Bethpage Black would do with the equipment of today. The pure energy from his swing from 2002 to 2005 was unmatched. Even the 18-24 year old Tiger couldn’t match it.

It’s not the PGA, the match play is WGC
You’re not a golf fan then, wgc events count for both tours.
Yeah I know it combines both tours? But it’s not a PGA tour event, it’s a WGC event, which is why the DP world tour can use the content. So not sure what your comment aimed to achieve there?
WGCs are - well, were International Federation of Tours events, each sanctioning circuit has access to the coverage.
I don’t even like golf but I want to watch every tiger event he at. Just like Mj, I want to witness greatness until it last
Golf really can’t be appreciated until you play a few par 5s and just realise how special some of these shots are from two legends.
