Phil is so human. He plays from bad lies and under the trees as much as an amateur golfer. Difference is he makes his best shots from the worst situations. Always been a high risk high reward golfer and has always been my favorite modern golfer.
My Grandpa has the same commentary with my golf! “Did you see it go in the sand, then out of the sand, hit a tree and BACK in the same bunker?! If there’s anyone that can do it, it’s Dylan Thompson.”
He singlehandedly made me love the sport as a kid. He's a mad scientist; not afraid to hit any lie or hazard. Has me howling and in awe in equal measure.
Phil has always been my favorite golfer. I've never met him but I've heard he is one of the nicest guys on the PGA tour. And a great father/ husband. Would love to meet him some day.
I love Phil. But doesn't that sort of say Tiger is simply better. If Tiger wasn't born, a lot of people would have won a lot of titles. But he was born and he did win all the PGA titles.
I think 12 is a more reasonable amount. To be fair, Phil would've won at least 3 more majors if he did not take too many risks. A lot of the times that he got close he lost because he took too many chance and lost to non-Tiger players.
I watched Phil chipping around the practice green in Southport, he is golfing magician, an experience I will never forget. He is also a true gentleman and a credit to the game of golf.
Man, from a lad from the south west of Ireland and Limerick to be specifically, the k club 2006 cemented my love for this game. Phil and tiger brought the game of golf to us common folk. OMG i just love this video! I used to suck at my shortgame but now i am much better thanks to Phil and these motivation videos, i have been training so much and now my hcp is 2.0.
I've been trying to practice my chipping technique and steepen it a little, I'm too inconsistent around the green and a good putter but hcp is 10 on 18.
I don’t know how many of you here watch cricket. Those long shots by Phil looks like Yuvrajs straight drive for a six. Amazing, elegant and pure artistry.
I can't believe the pine straw shot at 13 on Sunday at the 2010 Masters is not #1 (or at least top 3) on the list considering the pressure of the back nine of a major on Sunday. Oh, he won it too!
There is definitely method to his madness. He has utmost confidence in the insane shots, so he knows he can take a few bad tee offs and still be in contention. Plus I'm sure he's aware it's entertaining
i'm not a fan of phil, he did some awesome shots and also some bad shots, but i admire his courage to do those crazy shots in a tournaments and how big of an artist he is in this sport. go Phil!!!
After last weekends PGA Championship you need to add one more shot to this list!! Great chip-in at #5 during the final round. Perfect shot at the perfect moment!

how it should be
No question
Yup
I swear he puts himself in these situations just so he can pull off these incredible recovery shots. Legend
Gotta be on purpose lol I was just thinking that.
I literally was thinking this earlier
The only guy who can honestly say he was better than Tiger with a wedge.
Other than me of course
There were a couple others
Seve, Watson, Zinger
Bob Vokey, when asked who was the best, said Seve and it is not close, then Trevino and Phil, then Tiger.
I honestly think Tiger would say Phil was better than him with a wedge.

Like McCord said, "The worse it gets the better he gets"
Every shot starts with something like “if anyone can do this it’s phil”
And he can
I reckon most of his shots start with his caddy say, "no Phil that'll never work " followed by him saying "wanna bet".
