I would like to believe Anthony doesn't think about Fader any longer than the time it took him to address the issues their bullshit caused him. He is definitely above it, being that they're just an irrelevant parasite hoping to keep themselves alive by attaching themselves to his success in the only way they knew how.

For that we need more metal for him to review. Established metal bands tend to release less frequently than established pop and hip hop artists. Plus the necessity for lots of expensive equipment, and studio time for all the instruments sets a higher barrier for entry which means less new metal bands releasing material compared with new pop and hip hop artists who have the totally viable and accepted option of creating tracks with pc software and recording vocals with a mic in a closet.

Lean does kinda suck. Basically you're paying 5 to 10 times as much money for a lower quality high that has all the same health and legal risks of other opioids. If you drink lean regularly you're either a sucker getting ripped off because you wanna look cool, or you're an addict in denial that drinking addictive opioids is somehow less risky than taking pills or snorting powder.

In this Antony Fantano's classic "Caustic Album Review" we find an Anthony who is excited and stimulated by the visceral and robust feelings of despair that the album provides him. Making him appeared surprised yet delighted by the power of the record at hand. His voice is punching through the sentences almost as if he wants to allow the viewer to feel what he experienced in a very textured way. Something that to my surprise was the complete opposite of what i expected, in this Review Anthony seems to not change the direction of his reviews to instead fully commit to his characteristic style. His words seem more descriptive and layered. He refrains to old encounters with the band at hand to give context to his opinions and constantly uses unusual yet accurate adjectives. 1/10

After listening to Sunn 0))), Eagle Twin, Black Tongue, Kahnate, and Ghost Bath, I thought I had heard all of the heaviest bands metal had to offer... but as far as heaviness goes, Primitive Man is by far the heaviest thing I've ever heard. It's like having a heart attack for 70 minutes straight, you can't move, time accelerates at an alarming rate, and you completely lose yourself in it. Caustic felt as though there was no journey to be had, no feeling of progress, no feeling of accomplishment after listening to it. Just you, alone in a dark room, wondering why it doesn't stop. Each song feels like you are being shown a depraved act, worse than murder, worse than rape, and worse than torture. If suffering had a sound, it would be Primitive Man's Caustic. When listening to the ending track, Absolutes you can feel your very spirit leaving your body as you finally are allowed to die a miserable, agonizing, painful death... that's the best way I can describe this album.

I was blown away . had this night where my usual go toes ( black sabbath, evoken, esoteric and a whole lot of other bands...) they weren' t hateful (and slow) enough. and then i hear this - this avalanche of hatred and despair just seeking to crush you and beat you into submission. so far it is the heaviest thing I've heard in my life and dammit i want more \m/

Chromathy Keytano: If you put a digital layer of white (or whatever your wall color is) under the album art, it would be SO much less distracting than the black blob in your glasses when they pick up the green screen.
Also: I would love to hear your review of an older album: "Skyscraper National Park" by Hayden (2001).
Thank you. I... I love you.

I guess you could say this abt a lot of metal records; but I agree w melon, in that the challenges of this album are 'cleansing'. When my chronic anal fissure healed, I missed the comfort of the warm baths I'd have to rip after the most painful poops you could possibly imagine. Caustic gives me the space to hop back in there sometimes.
