- Charger Widebody Conversion kit worth it? There has been some problems with the widebody kit & here is how it has held up after 6 months. Many Charger Scatpack, Hellcat & R/T owners are looking into the widebody conversion from Vicrez or Ikon to help give them that new Charger Widebody look. I will confirm this one of the better decision I've made on this channel, but the Widebody Conversion did have it's drawbacks.

It’s a pricey upgrade but if you do it - just get the fenders cut. Makes life so much easier

yah the fender cutting was not something I wanted either. Just make sure to go with bracketless mounting & 315/35/20 tires.

I ended up doing the vicrez kit and have been so happy about it. The only thing I need to finish it now are the wheels and tires. I know you have the regular wide body wheels but from my understanding you are RWD so your stock offset is around +15-25. If I am AWD and my offset on my wheels are +55, would a +15 wheel work in my case and fill up the wheel well?
I have a narrow body scat pack challenger and I really would like to swap the front bumper for a hellcat bumper I just don’t really have knowledge on how to do it....btw you have one of the sickest Widebody chargers 🔥👌

I love your new look. I don’t like the new body style for the front. That’s why I went with the narrow scatpack. But I really hope my widebody kit from vicrez won’t give me problems. But I got that cuz I love the low stance look right now with the wheels
If you're lowered, make sure you cut the fenders or go back to stock ride height. The flares added to the 392/hellcat body style looks great. You're going to like the wider more aggressive stance.

One of the first things i did to my car is blackout the mirrors. It lets them blend into the car. I would recommend you look into it, just get the blue wrapped on the mirror. It would kind of flow with the hood.
Not sure what you mean. Like put a tint on the mirror?
@@RTLife get a shop or do it yourself. Take black wrap and wrap the mirror where there is body color. If you look at your mirrors they are blue. You want to eliminate that to make them blend in with your windows. You are not tinting the mirror itself but blacking out the housing if that makes sense.

RT LIFE take that 8HP70 transmission out and try the 8HP95 that comes in the Trackhawk cause you're at a point now where you are making way too much power for that stock transmission to handle. The stock transmission can only hold up to about 500 hp that is why you're feeling it seems to slip.Im not quite sure how much horsepower the 8HP95 transmission can handle but it is able to handle way more than the 8HP70. Now you may have known this stuff already but I just wanted to give you some insight on this as an option that may be helpful. Great build keep doing your thing with big blue.

I love the look! But do you think putting a wide body kit is Ricey? Like on a challenger R/T if I were to put one is there a way people will know if it’s a widebody kit straight off the bat?
widebody kits are not ricey at all (when installed/painted properly). I keep my R/T badge on because I'm not trying to fool people - I have a widebody R/T. If you like the look go out and do it - just don't upbadge & you're in the clear.

What size spacers u have I’m doing my gf car with the widebody kit and I have 20 inch scat rims 275 40 20 I’m also trying to put a big break caliper kit brembos I have the rears but do I need the brackets for this or do the hellcat brembos fit in the holes that lock the breach calipers in
If I was thinking widebody I'd definitely do this. I looked at what a new T/A Widebody comparable to my 17 would cost and it's a hard car to spec so it would be simple economics. Buy used and build.
Not having to get wrapped up into another car payment is a big positive to doing this kit. I’m not dealing with that for a while
Definitely a smart way to go no payments. I got two years left on my right eye and I’m not getting another one😂 I’m done this is where the buck stops …There’s always room for modifications though 😁
Modding as you know makes this that much more fun. I’m not looking to take on new car payments - so this kit was a no brainer.

Have you had any issues with your hood? I just got a Demon style hood for my Charger and am debating if I need hood pins.
No issues since installing it.
I took my 2015 challenger to AAAA nassau for pricing to widebody. I have all the parts ready. The owner wasn't there so they said he'll call me back with a quote. They also took pictures. Receptionist called me and said he will call me but he never did. I called a few days and they said their computer is down for quotes. So they would email me. 2 weeks later nothing. So I got someone else. Hopefully it'll be finished this week
Hows your turning radius? Along with full lock on either side.
No issues at all - it's like nothing changed. Guessing because of the wheel offset

I’m looking into the hp90 from the hellcat. Once the funds are there I can make it happen. I believe the only hurdle is tuning.
Level 10 can take your Nag-1 all the way up to 1200hp.

Will you ever in the future consider dropping a hellcat motor in there? I put a scat pack engine in my Chrysler 300. I can give you some help if you ever need it. :)

I know I've asked this before but I can not find the comment. where exactly did you get the rear window louver? how is it at high speeds? I purchased a ebay one ( mistake I know) and it flew off at like 60 mph
I got mine from Ikon Motorsports. The only thing annoying is the rattling on the back window, but I will fix that soon.

I just roll my fenders, put wider wheels with coiloverd and camber plates. Then i usually run around -2deg to -2.5 camber up front and you can have great stance.

I ran the exact same set up for my widebody R/T and was worried free when I pulled off the lot after installing my widebody kit. 305 35 20s Lanvigator Catpower and my front fender got kicked off 😞☹️☹️ im wrap came off on that whole panel and Im too embarrassed to drive it now. PLEASE HELP
I ended up drilling into my Flare for extra support @2:42. Give that a try after you glue it back on. It has happened to a lot of people. Maybe try 305/30/20

I have 315/35/20 Nitto G5's. But keep in mind I drive this thing like a baby. You're better off investing in a bump stop (stops suspension travel) or upgraded suspension where you can adjust the bounce rate.

I love the widebody kit on your car. I remember when they first came out, I was not really a fan of it. But over time it has grown on me.
As far as the transmission, doing the Hellcat swap, make sure you get the driveshaft too. If I remember right, the Hellcat tranny is longer and you will need a shorter driveshaft.
I didn't know that - thank you for the heads up. I thought everything was a direct swap. I was thinking of doing a Hellcat transmission with redeye/demon driveshaft.
If I would put a wb on my charger I would make sure I repaint the whole car…….you can definitely tell the color difference on yours….but I’m really picky

I think it comes very close. Before the turbos this kit was almost perfect. Body lines, gaps etc.
