    Don't believe what some people say about turbo lag. There are several things you can do to "defeat" the lag. For one...you can have the turbocharger(s) closer to the engine. And two...if you are working with a good mechanic that really knows turbos...the degree of the impeller can make a huge difference as well. Both of these examples...look at the audi, bmw, Mercedes twin turbo v8 setups...they make peak torque at like 1500 rpm...and hold a flat torque curve till about 5k rpm and start to taper or fall there but by that time the hp is picking up near its peak and keeps on going.

    Slowly but surely. You can simply upgrade what needs to be done by order of priority. Most people want everything done at once only to realize that they have to work backwards now due to all the adjustments, to make the build function at it's maximum potential. Love the build fam it might cost a bit more but at least you would have accomplished what you wanted in the beginning wich was to build your own rather than buying a finished product .
    I went the other route after your video on "should you build a 392 or buy a Hellcat?"

Also recommend either R1 Concepts it Baer for brake kits. I know the Brembo's are nice, but they're more expensive. I have a 55 gallon drum I'll give you if you pay for shipping. We've converted to E85 so the meth is just sitting in my shop. The build looks really nice. I think you're going about it in a reasonable way. Build the engine first so you don't blow it up and have to yank all the stuff off to rebuild it. Then add some easily adjustable power and as you buy the upgraded components you can dial up more power.

  • @justpray365
    @justpray365 3 года назад

    Dodge has this figured out. This is why the Hellcat is priced the way it is. They know it’s more cost effective to just buy it already done with a warranty. I’m not saying your decision is right or wrong. Everyone has to do what’s right for them. Just making a statement.

    A good way to go with transmission is to go with the hp90! It'll handle the torque you make with this setup and it's about half the cost of a fully built hp70 that will handle what a stock hp90 can handle

  • @utahcountypicazospage5412

    Turbos you have to change your oil a lot more often since the hot oil from the turbos goes back into the engine.in my opinion procharger is much better since it does not share oil with the engine .turbos are great for power but for daily use can be a pain boost creep is a real thing be careful

  • @saulcruz9024
    @saulcruz9024 3 года назад

    Turbos also have no parasitic loss like superchargers . So you make more hp per pound of boost vs a supercharger.

    Are twin turbos worse than a blower (supercharger)?

    • @RTLife
      @RTLife  3 года назад +1

      The twin-turbos are more $$$. It's not really a matter of better or worse. More so preferences on what you like & trying to do with your build.
