I had yet another thought: If Alex didn’t do it, how did he know to lie about what he was doing at the time of the murders? He said the reason he lied about being at the kennels was because he was paranoid due to his drug use. However, he ‘discovered’ the bodies at 10:07. If he didn’t do it, he wouldn’t know the exact time of death. He would only know they happened between approximately 8:45 and 10:05. That’s an hour and 20 minutes. Why lie specifically about the small window of time at the kennels unless he knew the murders happened before he left for his mom’s?

Then think that Paul's phone is what will send Alex away to prison for the rest of his life. That's a lot of stuff going on in the brain for the rest of his life. He's in psychological survival mode at this point, trying to cling to something positive in his life. That is why he grinned during Buster's testimony, and why he is paying compliments to Paul. Of course, this mess is one that Alex created, but he literally lost everything in a few days time. Got confronted and fired about the stealing of money, shot and killed his wife and son, lost his father a few days later. This is one of the all-time jackpots of bad events for a single brain to handle. Once again, his actions led to everything bad except his father dying, but his world shattered from all angles, and quickly.

Murdaugh's facial expressions remind me of a hard-core alcoholic I knew in the 90s whose entire life was a lie. That man engaged in crimes I can't mention here because it's not "family-friendly" and I don't want parents to have to explain them to their children. However, it's very unsettling to see those expressions along with ease of manufacturing stories. With that said, if I were on the jury, I'd be more interested in the physical evidence. There are probably hundreds of lying addicts in my little suburb alone, though I doubt that many have killed anyone. One did, but from what I saw of him before the crime, he was more of a dealer. Does he know the exact time he took a shower last night and how long he was in the shower? No, because it’s something you do each day and it’s insignificant.
He has 1 bit of evidence-he lied about being at the kennel. As a former drug user, I understand his paranoia. I wish Alex would ask the prosecutor if he has any addicts in his family or knows anyone that’s an addict. And then ask him if they get paranoid around cops.

And why are you even touching Paul's phone and rolling him over, his head was blown off. You should've had some blood on you. The fact that you don't is quite suspicious. millions he stole from his clients, they might as well rest the murder case. They have nothing on the murders. They have no case, not one evidence.
Just blah blah blah and trying to denigrate AM by

He was taking out all the people who had issues in his family to try to let his oldest son go forward...although had he been around I could see him doing him also. ZERO chance this man didn't kill his wife and kid. ZERO. This is not how a man who is innocent acts.
