- On Day 9 of the trial for the death of Ahmaud Arbery, the prosecution cross-examined defendant Travis McMichael about what happened on Feb. 23, 2020.
His father had two heart attacks, a stroke and a hip replacement and still found the strength to terrorize someone. Incredible.
Hate over came him
Pigs are stubborn animals
ikr what a "hero"
Yes because the hate was in his mind and heart. You could lose all limbs and be extremely hateful and racist. It was very easy for them to do.
and to sit in his grandson's car seat and ride shotgun in the back of the truck while Travis was driving. Really a dysfunctional family in my opinion
She literally let this man talk himself into prison. Give this prosecutor all the awards.
well, I'm sure in his and his father's minds what they did was reasonable. This is the stark difference between certain areas of the deep South, and quite literally the rest of the Southern US and the USA as a whole.
She is a Pro!
I still believe she needed to be harder on him, she did well in closing though
@@claycox1829 sounds like she didn't need to be.

This guy actually thought he was going back home after the verdict. LOL
A “new” home 😂
Not so long ago in the US they would have a crowd outside cheering and having a street party after a Judge dismissed the charges.
@@gfexc
A judge did not dismiss charges against OJ Simpson. A jury of his peers found him not guilty because a glove that was found at the murder scene did not fit his hand. Incidentally, the crowd outside the courthouse was not cheering because they felt OJ Simpson was innocent, they were cheering because they were overjoyed that white Americans finally got a dose of their own medicine.
That 'dog leg' became the Twilight Zone for simpleton Travis!
_"We were just trying to ask him some questions."_ Excuse me, but you don't chase someone around a neighborhood with a shotgun for five minutes, just to ask them questions!
Lol. That screen name perfectly describes these defendants.
The most important lesson daddy should have taught Travis is to "mind your own business."
And if you can't then don't lie when you're put to the fire over it. I'd like to know if Goff will ask for a mistrial cos daddy was crying in front of the jury? Guess not!!!
Victoria- And may I add, daddy shouldn't have passed his racist believes on to his son. Let's not kid ourselves, racism played a major part in this. I doubt very seriously if a white guy would've been chased and shot even if they saw him stealing.
😄😄😄, that simple!
He can’t teach what he doesn’t know

As silly as that statement sounds, I'm trying to figure if this in any way could be plausible in the eyes of a juror in accordance with the law and reasonableness.
The objective reality is that if any juror feels that Travis's actions were justified as self-defense, they're blatantly abandoning the law.

And the only time one can really shoot a fleeing suspect is one, the trigger puller had to have witnessed a heinous act and the suspect positively identified and they better be a imminent threat to everyone and anything if they’re not stopped on top of, you better make it known you’re the good guy before you shoot. And that’s just one aspect in a very complex topic.
A lot easier when you’re law enforcement because it’s expected of you to get into physical altercations and stop dangerous people who might be bigger, heavier and stronger than you more often than not.

Travis Mcmurder sealed his fate when he said “There was no need for it “ And she made him set himself up on every question! What a genius!
Where is that part where he says that is it in this video? If so I missed it
She took meticulous notes of his exact words which nailed him in closing
Travis. Since you honestly think this was perfectly okay for you to do, let me give you a little scenario that might change your opinion: According to you, it is perfectly acceptable if 3 guys in prison corner YOU to a spot you can't escape. They THINK you MIGHT HAVE stolen their soups. They are screaming threats to you. One of them hits you. Your fight or flight instinct kicks in, and you try to fight them off. They Stab you. They don't get in trouble cause they said they were just acting self-defense against you. If you think what you did to Ahmaud was okay, you should be okay with this if it happens to you in prison.
Woe unto them

Maybe in this case she is. But I've seen prosecutors work and I don't trust them as far as I can throw them.
The fact his lawyer let him testify is beyond me
Agreed!
must have wanted him to go to jail 👏👏 his lawyer did a good job
He probably wanted him to pull a Rittenhouse and he forgot to do it.
I think probably because their case was so bad, they had nothing to lose at that point. So they threw the dice hoping one or two jurors would be moved to hang the jury. Unlikely--but what else did they have? Another possibility is their own lawyers were so disgusted with their clients, they let the men testify to hang themselves.
It would be nice to read minds maybe deep down the defence lawyers are thinking dam yokos hurry up and get these guys convicted i need to see my family and hug them and thank god im not in their shoes dumbasses.
His dad looked like he wanted to citizens arrest his him for testifying 😂😂
What caused his Father to get so excited? Well, could it be because he had a "clear shot" of a "black guy"....that's why he got so excited. He didn't wait for police he went into full vigilante mode and took the shot.
@Scouts Honor could it be that nothing you said is true?
@Scouts Honor you really like trolling don't you.. go have a seat sir.
It really bothers me that there's a demographic of people who really believe they can just randomly become a cop and apprehend you based on a suspicion they have about you Ahmad Aubry could have been any of us.
Exactly! BS vigilante justice based on a freakin’ hunch!?!
Why does it bother you? This has been life since before you were born lol shouldn’t be a shock. Especially these days
Hence the word “Karen’s” lol
These guys were definitely hunting ... they both wanted to be cops and "protect" their neighborhood. Nothing wrong with that, but they did it their way -- their own suspicions, no proof needed, and carrying for their own "protection". Travis didn't even think he'd be taken in by the real police who came after he shot & killed Ahmaud Arbery
Yea your not aloud to shoot anyone unless their dangerous and their about to kill you and you have no where to run.
That police department need to be investigated.
Now he has to explain his motives to the brothers in the Georgia State Penal System.

I live in Georgia; so glad these creepy criminals are off the streets!!!!
Vigilantes, get life. They must be crazy chasing someone in the street.
For a citizens arrest a crime has to be witnessed they did not witness a crime therefore everything committed after the citizens arrest is considered felony kidnapping. Which means it is felony murder and there is no self defence claim.
Not sure what planet your from but breaking into a house is a def a crime. Its called tresspassing bubba lol
@@nalabishop402 nothing was broken or damaged so there was no "breaking into a house."
@@nalabishop402 1. that was never witnessed by either of the defendants, 2. even if it had been it would simply be misdemeanour trespassing as it was a construction property uninhabited and he didn’t steal anything. 3. That does not justify murder you dipshit. I can’t believe I actually found someone defending these guys.
From what I know, you can still detain someone if you reasonably believe a crime was committed. However, you had better be positive, or else you can be charged with false imprisonment or some other crime, depending on state law. The whole issue will end up coming down to self-defense, and I know that at least in Wisconsin, even provocation does not forfeit the right to use deadly force if you believe your life is in danger, which could very possibly apply here as well.
@@thegamsta7133 Your last sentence implies that a pedestrian could abruptly cross in front of a moving vehicle and legally shoot the driver with a self-defense claim because he felt the vehicle was a threat to his life. (A person can't instigate a situation then play victim).
This is no different than Travis testifying that he aggressively chased Arbery down, including changing paths of direction in order to interfere with Arbrey's attempt to avoid him. Gets out of the vehicle with shotgun without announcing who he was or what his concerns with Arbery were, while blocking Arbery....then say "self-defense" when Arbery fights the deadly shotgun threat that he (McMichael) chose to pose.
If a vehicle was chasing you and you feel the occupants are gonna rob or kill you, will you think it's justifiable for them to kill if you choose to fight your way out of the situation? And their justification is that you defending yourself from their aggressively unknown intentions made you the threat that needed to be killed.
