  • Prosecutor Linda Dunikoski is making her rebuttal to conclude closing arguments in the trial of the death of Ahmaud Arbery on Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021.
    Arbery was shot and killed on Feb. 23, 2020. Cellphone video leaked to the public shows two armed white men in a truck approaching the 25-year-old Black man as he runs down the road. One of the men, later identified as Travis McMichael, and Arbery struggle over McMichael's shotgun before Arbery is shot and collapses.
    Travis McMichael, his father Gregory McMichael and William "Roddy" Bryan, who recorded the video, are all charged with murder in Arbery's death.

      She should be disbarred. These men were simply trying to carry out order when the perpetrator grabbed for their weapon. What would you have done? Be honest. It's you o him. I mean, the ordeal that the perpetrator put these men through, the wild goose chase, when all they wanted to do was talk. Again, these men hadn't committed the crime, it was the perpetrator who was caught trespassing and acting erratic.

The charges he is facing are so much worse than anything Ahmaud has ever done, not just on that terrible day but ever. But people think Bryant, a person facing pedophile charges is a hero.

      @upabittoolate 2 года назад

      @@brb72 therein lay the problem. This isn't about the best interests of the Black community. This should be about the best interests of the community. Being Black means feeling as though the social structure treats you like you don't belong. Imagine Ahmaud sitting in the park in his car on his single day off work. He liked music so he was playing some music and singing some raps songs. The authorities treated him as other for enjoying a park that his own tax dollars provide. Those authorities are also provisioned by Ahmaud. But he was treated like he didn't belong. Fast forward and he was chased down by racists. Again, he was treated as an outsider. So the real problem here is the separate systems of 'justice'. The prosecutor tried to bury the murder. @@BoringTroublemaker "required to stop and talk" was not the subject of my post. "Probable cause" was. Why are they drilling "probable cause", while he stated he confronted Arbery before on somebody's property? He claims he has SEEN him. He WITNESSED criminal trespass whether he stole something or not. He didn't need probable cause anymore. It seems as he is not aware, he could have made a lawful citizen arrest based on that alone, without the need for probable cause for any crime that might happen or not the day they met again. Yet both he and the prosecution drilling what probable cause is.
      In regard to your comments, it seems you want to discuss with me the entire case, while I wrote I didn't watch all material yet, to even draw my own conclusions. Arguments you stating I already heard. The jury has decided them guilty, and I'm sure they had reasons if they did so, even those reasons are not obvious to me yet (I sort of expecting I missing something). I watched so far McMichael's testimony and detective Parker Mercy's testimony. McMichael's testimony was not very convincing, while the cop's testimony damaging as it did not match McMichael's version at all. Rising doubts? Yes! Not to the point of convicting beyond reasonable doubts though as of yet, but then I admittedly see very little so far. I spent half of the day trying to find materials that would point to key testimonies and arguments in this trial, watching all is like 150+ hours. Who has time for it? For sure will watch the closing arguments of both sides (15+ hours). Most news or RUclips clips offer either bare facts (verdict is such, the testimony such) or bare opinions without providing any in-depth documented explanation, WHY someone believes what it believes.
      When the video of the shooting first surfaced, I was buffed by a number of people who claimed it clearly shows murder, based on watching the video alone. It showed a young black guy running TOWARDS armed white guy grabbing his gun. My first impression was "you run on armed man, grab his gun and complain he shot you???". Of course, the narration of people claiming it was murder was, he was being lynched, and it was necessary self-defense. Well yeah, not MY first impression, not impossible though. The problem was, based on watching video alone (before the trial started and FACTS, became known) you could have impressions, beliefs, it WAS NOT POSSIBLE though to make any prudent determination either way just watching the video. People who said "it is" instead of "I believe", "I think" were clearly biased, being gentle, or stating lies, speaking to the point. Actually, they still are, despite the fact, their beliefs apparently proved to be correct.

    The prosecuting attorney is very factual and straight forward, Using bullet points she plainly has shown the guilt of all three.The defence never had any proof of self defence at any time, thus could not defend their actions.Also the defendant that shot Arbery admitted under oath that Arbery posed no threat to him.I hope the jury finds them all guilty on all accounts.
