    Travis McMichael: _"I didn't know if he was going to attack me, or attack my dad, or drive away with my truck, or pull out a knife, or pull out a gun, or strangle me to death, or maybe maybe maybe...."_ Somebody needs to tell Travis that it's illegal to chase someone based on a bunch of what-ifs, maybes and might-have-beens.

    • @kennethcharles1386
      @kennethcharles1386 2 года назад +61

      The McMichaels were obsessed with Larry English's property and made that the center of their authority in a community that really didn't care for them, not one neighbor could say that they associated with the McMichaels. That small neighborhood knew they were trouble, in broad daylight with all that screeching of tires up and down not one neighbor until the end when a drunken Greg McMichael asked what street is this, but you can see his rented house from the crime scene. Trying to pass Travis McMichael off as if he was a military police officer was a big mistake, all they managed to do was make him out to be a confused story teller. What kind of attorneys would put a client on the witness stand and never go over his written statements as to the accounts of the events that led up to murdering an unarmed man, because he wouldn't stop running away from two drunks with guns, with a shotgun and a 357 magnum in a pickup truck with a Confederate flag license plate. I could only imagine what they were saying to him as they verbally assaulted Ahmuad Arbery and brandishing weapons at him chasing him up and down for minutes before killing Ahmuad Arbery like a wild animal in the street and then stand over him like road kill and just walked away like it was nothing. Not even being arrested for what had just happened; that's the real frightening part about it not one law enforcement officer on the scene even though about arresting none of them they were more concerned about the welfare of the shooter then, "why was a man laying in the road who had been shot three times with a shotgun???

      Read the Law under citizens arrest. The McMichaels weren't out to arrest Ahmuad Arbery they went after him to kill him. You don't grab a shotgun and a 357 magnum to chase someone running down the street that has done absolutely nothing. In your opinion!!!!

      @Richard the Judge read the law at closing arguments. You can find the video on RUclips. The media have been covering the Federal trial. In fact, they have shown the racist mindset and behavior of all 3 murderers. Unlike state trials, Federal trials aren’t televised, so we only receive reports throughout the day of the evidence covered. You can also check PACER for the public documents in the federal case.

    • @dpoly101
      @dpoly101 2 года назад

      @Richard I’ll be waiting for the appellate decision on this case. Again, you’re wrong about the federal court proceedings. It is against federal rules to photograph or record the proceedings, on all levels of federal judiciary. This is why you don’t see it on Court TV, not because it’s against a particular narrative. For example, the El Chapo trial wasn’t televised.

    • @dpoly101
      @dpoly101 2 года назад

      @Richard Attorneys’ statements are not evidence. Since I haven’t seen the actual evidence presented at the federal trial, I can’t comment to their guilt on the charges. However, the text messages and social media posts that have been reported are racist but protected by free speech. Further, since Travis and Greg originally accepted a plea deal meant that the government probably has enough for a conviction. It’ll be interesting to hear how they manage to show the ties between their racial behavior and the murder.

    • @dpoly101
      @dpoly101 2 года назад +10

      @Richard I disagree with your comment on Arbery. The defense did not do a good job to sow some doubt that he had committed burglary the day he was murdered. On the stand, Travis asserted a self-defense right, not citizen’s arrest. He claimed he pursued Arbery to talk to and identify him so he can let the cops know Arbery’s whereabouts. If I remember correctly, he stated that the citizen’s arrest defense was his attorneys’ theory, not his, but he agrees with it. The state brilliantly seized the opportunity to show that citizens have a right to move freely without harassment.

    Travis was in the Cost Guard for 8 plus years and yet he never moved up in rank. That alone should shut down all of their smile's.
    At no time did I think Travis was innocent. At no time did I think that he did Not mean to kill Aumaud Abery.
    However, you would think that his lawyer would have coached him on how to act remorseful on that stand if he was to have even a slight chance of being found not guilty. @Richard the problem is that he was the one being attacked by three armed white men with a shotgun and a 357 magnum they cornered him and murdered him. We understand in a culture that looks at Black people as less then a human being by raping lynchings and other barbaric behavior by a. culture that was protected by law and a constitution that declared a Black person as 3/5 of a human being and to this day people like the McMichaels will just have to learn the hard way law enforcement officers included that you can't kill a person just because of their color or because, you think something is wrong, because you see a Black man or woman or child walking or running down the street you jus assumed they did something wrong! Those days of public executions are gone,but for people like the McMichaels it still exists they killed a man in broad daylight and almost got away with it, that's the frightening thing about all this. The words that Travis and his father spoke after they murdered Ahmuad Arbery is chilling and very frightening and to hear people make excuses for them makes you wonder! @Richard You seem to know so much about Arbury, much more then I, whom hs been covering it since the beginning...Just a few questions for the expert. IF AA wasn't there to just look around, what was he there for? Why should his mental health be an issue in a trial? The defendants were unaware of it at the time of his murder, so why should the jury be informed of if it? Besides to try to muddy the waters of it. That's why it wasn't allowed in. Would it have made a difference in the stupid decisions they made that day? And finally, I personally wasn't fed a narrative by the media. I watched all the hearings and the trial on live TV and that is where my opinion on the matter originates from. When you're accusing the media of spinning the narrative I think you're just confusing it with the genuine outrage that any humane person would naturally feel.

      @Richard The defense did not provide any evidence that could have led to any reasonable doubt that Ahmaud had committed a burglary. Burglary requires that you prove the individual intends to commit a felony. With the owner testifying that Ahmaud had never taken anything on multiple visits, it was impossible to prove burglary.
      Even if Ahmaud’s mental health records made it to trial, they still would have been convicted of murder. At most, Ahmaud committed a misdemeanor, and citizen arrest doesn’t allow chasing the suspect to arrest him or her.

      Let us bow our heads... You know Pops has heart trouble, and a new hip.. thankfully he didn't hurt himself on child's car seat .Heavy duty Travis, wouldn't walk, or jog, to speak with Ahmaud, like a real man, who really cared about another's open construction site, (that he knew, Ahmaud stayed a few minutes, stole, nor damaged anything).
      Roddy is bread not baked, so let their new neighbors, in their new neighborhood, only make them jog five minutes at a time. Under-baked, can yell from his room, "y'all got 'em? Lastly, Travis's son, hopefully, will be raised, and not trained. The End.

I don't believe he reached for his left pocket on February 11th either why would he reach for his LEFT POCKET when his mother says he's right handed. I think travis was trying to get Ahmaud killed by the police that night. this bald dude can chase bubba and nem down and corner them like a rat to see what happen to their Top Ramen let's see how that works out 4 their azz. I guarantee you they're straight up cowards in prison and they're separated from one another the father and son will never ever see one another again in this life and travis will never see his son outside of the prison walls. hopefully travis baby momma gets with a black man and Everett falls his daddy that'll kill travis punk azz. 🤪
