Just made this. Couple tips: I also added some toasted coriander, and cilantro stem/root for extra complexity of flavor. Use a tea bag or something for that, or boil the chicken a little while before adding them, so it's easier to skim without taking them out. Also, if you want a long, long simmer without ruining the meat on the chicken, take it out after an hour, remove the meat, and then put the carcass back in and then simmer as long as you like.
I'm just making this now and I will put the carcass back into the broth when it's done. That makes sense.
@@Fonthandler How'd it come out?
@@Rick-5728 Yeah I don't like to waste food, I ended up having the carcass while my family had the good meat lol. My family and I are in love with this dish. The broth is to die for! I think it would be perfect for winter time. That chilli hit will do the trick lol.
I'm trying some now. Have my chicken in the slow cooker. Just had a deal on a lot of legs st st shop! Haven't got all the ingredients but hey it will be OK. I wanted to find the Tom yum stock cubes but can't get them anywhere and didn't want a massive jar of paste
I love watching this video and it makes my pho amazing every time! Thank you so much Miss Marion!
I am going to try this recipe this week. I cannot believe how easy it is to make. Thank you for sharing, and I will continuously follow your channel for Asian cuisine.
I forgot to mention Marion , I love your channel so much , I’ve learnt so much with you- thank you!
Huge fan - from Sydney
Thank you Marion for showing me how to prepare Vietnamese Chicken Pho. So yummy. Beautifully explained.
I think I’d really like this better than the beef pho. I love how happy Marion looks when she eats her food-it makes me want to cook everything she makes! 😍
We followed your instructions and it turned out great. Love your style and the camerawork on your videos. I’m telling my friends.
Yes! I prefer chicken pho over beef pho! It’s super light and refreshing! Can’t wait to try this recipe out 😊 thank you for sharing!
You're so welcome! I hope you enjoy it :-)
I prefer the beef with all the sauces but when it comes to chicken pho I always eat it as is, no sauce needed!
And also as a Hindu it would be a sin for me to eat beef so this is especially useful
Yyuuiidd
Your mom is such a treat to watch. She's so funny, great cook!

She’s awesome isn’t she 😃
Thanks Marion for the easy recipe steps . Chicken pho soup is one of our favourite and I will certainly try it with the exception of adding chillies to make it spicy.
You sound very pleasant and polite.

Lately this kind of soup is all I’ve been craving, I buy one at lease once ever 3 days but realised I need to just learn how to do it myself to save money! Thanks for this !!
It was raining so I made this for my family. It was a hit even my 3 year old loved it💖

Needs more CILANTRO! Forget the cilantro-haters! I also like mine with chili oil!
King Yang So true!
i love cilantro

Uncle Roger this your neice
Disgustingg
omg that looks so good i could imagine the taste in my mouth as i was watching this vid. I've never cooked a whole chicken before but guess i'll try that next time!
Try getting a rotisserie chicken from the supermarket if they are available in your area. The chicken is already cooked - so you can pull it off the bone. And you still have the chicken bones to make the broth.
I had this while i was in Poland. I fell in love with it. Owner were veitanamse and I was searching this recipe for a very long time.
Hi Marion, you can try like a teaspoon of fennel seeds and coriander seeds and a few cloves. Thats the secret of Pho :) for a significant Vietnamese taste, I ll throw in one dried scallops that has been broiled a little bit. It wont disappoint you
Thank you so much! I followed this delicious recipe but something was missing.
I added about a tbsp of sugar and it was perfect for my taste!
Very simple and easy thanks for sharing ♥️💯👌
Making this tonight!!! So excited!!!
I've always wanted to know how to make this at home! Thank you Marion ❤️

I did not know that 😱
Off to your website I goooo 😁😂 Thank you so much I can't wait to give them a go 🤗
Making this Saturday for sure 😍
Fantastic simple pho..i will make this ..ty
Made it tonight, thank you Marion Grasby have a beautiful day, say hello to mama Noi and your family.
Thanks for the video and directions. Simple enough to do at home with the spices, onion, and ginger. Just like the #1 soup in the world, Tom Yum, the key is the broth. If you have never roasted your vegetables and spices before, please take the time to do it. The results are spectacular. And this is the #2 soup in the world. The stuff you throw in the soups are very adaptable to whats in the refrigerator. But concentrate on a flavorful stock and there will be an awesome payoff.
I just bought all your sauces and marinate from Coles 😋can't wait to try them
Fantastic recipe, Pho had great flavour!
Luv this. Will start making this once it gets a little colder in California.
Oooo gosh I'm loving your pho recipes. I usually have the star anise and cinammon stick in my pantry! So glad to see an approachable pho recipe without me having to invest in so many other extra spices :)
That's what I love about this channel. Marion tells you everything you need to make an authentic basic form of whatever it is and leaves out extras that aren't essential. If you really do need something hard to find outside Asia-galangal comes to mind-she tells you so and explains why.
It looks so good
Looks amazing! Making soon!
Thanks looks amazing
Just made this today. Better than restaurant pho! Instead of chicken, I used the spine of a turkey that I spatchcocked for the broth and it still came out amazing.
Just made this today.. was lovely! Very much like a Tibetan Thukpa.
I bought the ingredients and im going to make this!
So i keep hearing chicken fur lol this is what my Nan calls feathers! 😂 love your recipes x
😂LOL
Yes it is pronounced “Pher”
I also heard fur! Lol. And I mostly hear it pronounced "fuh" as in "funny".

It looks so delicious. I can't cook it like you although I'm Vietnamese. :(
OMG so making this with my boyfriend this weekend he will love it 🥰
I'm making this for dinner tonight thank u Marion 😍😋😘
xxxbowieboxxx yay! Enjoy!
Idk if you’ve ever tried pork pho but it’s essentially the same aromatic ingredients. The one major change you can do is crisp up some pork belly, cube/chop it, and throw it in after the fact for salty, crunchy goodness! You can also try it with pork rinds!
oh WOW! That sounds amazing!!! Thanks for the tips!
That's called Hu Tieu no?
There’s no such thing as pork pho. The only noodle soup that has pork belly slices is banh canh gio heo (pork thigh udon).
chauannie nope, hu tieu is different, it need different spices and have different noodles
Ohh soo delicious
Can't wait to make thisssss
Definitely giving this a try! You've made something I've dreamed of making look so simple... I can't wait
I hope you enjoy it Faye! :-)
I just made it with house chicken and it was amazing! Also unfortunately I didn’t have the ginger but I added garlic and still the broth turned out very delicious with that super cozy taste. I’d advise to put in less bean sprouts, I put too much and my soup tasted a bit too healthy 🤣 But I made lots of broth, so for my next bowl I’ll make it without the sprouts.
Great recipe! Followed it as much as possible and it turned out delicious! BTW, you didn't mention what to do with the bones. Should we just throw those out? Or, put in the broth and boil some more?
Great chief and I like your video sharing dear
u remind me on Kylie Kwong ..younger version lol and i LOVE her !! safe to say I'm obsessed with u too
My mum’s chicken pho is unbeatable but happy too try this
You make me hungy
You know i eat Phở every day..i live in Vietnam now!
