These are all ingredients we Indians use in our daily meals, and our grandmoms have always emphasized on the health benefits of haldi(tumeric), pyaaz, lehsun(onion, garlic), adrak(ginger) and Hari/laal saabut mirch(whole chillies). These spices are an integral part of our cuisine. Great recipe Marion!💯❤️
I just made this soup tonight and I can say 100% Marion never ceases to amaze me in the flavor department. This soup was delicious. I did not have greens or fresh turmeric so substituted with baby bok Choy, Taiwan spinach and dried ground turmeric. Everyone needs to try this soup if they want a healthy different alternative to boring chicken soup.
You know what, gently slurping your noodles instantly made you relatable to this Asian. So much effort put into those noodles too! Imma try this recipe. Thank you for being such a darling and bridging East and West!
Hi Marion! These ingredients and dish is exactly a Malay dish called Mee Soto using yellow egg noodle or rice cubes with corriander leaves and fried shallots as garnish. With drizzle of chili soy sauce. Yes its a soothing, comforting noodle soup..Yummy!!
I just made this for dinner on a cold night and it is delicious! Chicken is my favourite choice of protein, and this one's going in my rotation of easy, tasty meals especially during a busy week 😊
Hi, saw this recipe a few days ago. My son and daughter were feeling a bit under the weather today so decided to make it. They said it warmed them up and it was tasty too. I replaced the kale with spinach, but followed every step as is. Thanks for the recipe, will definitely be making it again. Blessings from South Africa.🌻
Marion - the broccolini 🤤 I love all your the little “takes” on simple recipes! I come back to your channel often for inspiration. Thank you for being on point with everything you do in the kitchen 💕 baci e abbracci
Thanks you very much Marion for sharing this flavourful and healthy chicken soup. I love watching your videos as l learn a lot of cooking tips from you. Tq Marion.
My first time watching your channel - and certainly not the last ! Goodness - what a wonderful video, great narration and you are so relaxing to listen to and watch ! I shall absolutely make this soup and as one cook to another you will understand I need to make it unique to my tastebuds, so I'll add a fist-full of fresh cilantro to the top too !!! thank you most kindly for taking the time to make this and all your wonderful, healthy and cozy recipes ! m.
I have tried many of your recipes and love them so much! Just ordered your cookbook and I am super excited. Thank you for creating such wonderful and easy recipes :)
My favourite is a steaming hot Arroz Caldo, with a freshly chopped gingers bits to get a refreshing feeling with every bite. Definitely adding this one to my favorite go to cozy dishes list!!!
Made this last night. Swoped the kale with spinach and added some carrots and celery and used gluten free rice noodles. It was AMAZING 👏 felt like my immune was boosting as I'm eating 💪😂💓
I made this, and it was amazing! I wish I had made it sooner! I used bokchoy instead of kale because it's what I had in the fridge and I added shredded carrots (again because it's what I had on hand). 10 out of 10!!
This looks and sounds delicious and comforting for sure… I’m a soup and noodle girl 😝 Can’t wait to try this… I’ve also started eating and researching an anti inflammatory diet for medical reasons and this recipe came at the perfect time for me…. Thanks Marion for those tips 😍😍👍🏼
Good for you. Inflammation is the root cause of so many health problems. I have a liquid turmeric I use, along with lions mane mushroom powder, CBD oil and lots of onion and garlic in our food. I’m old but feeling pretty good.
@@annunacky4463 cool that’s great. Thanks for the info. Off the topic of Marion’s recipes 😜 how do you incorporate turmeric and mushroom powder into everyday eating and drinking, if you don’t mind 😊 . I’m now coming to realise that inflammation is the cause of just about everything so I had to make changes to eating, drinking and everything else in between.
My family loves noodles soup so much and I love to try this recipe for my dinner and the only thing is that I never tried the kale and maybe this is the first time that I’ve made the soup with kale 😘so good luck to me and hope that I will love it 🥰
Made this without the thighs, but I used chicken bones I had in the freezer to add more depth to my chicken bone broth. And I used pea shoots instead of broccolini. This will definitely be a meal I cook again in the future when I’m feeling a little under the weather. Thank you for this video!
Tried this for dinner, didn’t have coriander powder or ginger but with all the other spices and ingredients it was super delicious!! Marion you’re the best! Can’t wait to get my hands on your cookbook!
I’m gonna make this since my husband wants chicken soup and I’m sure he’ll definitely gonna love it , you rock Marion and btw your pot collection is so cute, you should have a video of it 😊 oh and I’ve tried your phó soup and my family loved it. Thanks to you for sharing your recipe 💖
Lovely!!! I have to try this some time. Today is going to be cold, sleety, and blah. So we’re having a cozy home day. I have homemade beef bone broth going on the stove top and I’m just gonna let that go in low all day. Going to make French onion soup for dinner! 😋 🧅
I made this I made this delicious health soup… it brings the warmth and heat… I LOVE IT! Gonna make a Huge pot of this, so Marion for a pot the size you’re using now do I triple up on the spices🧐
I've had turmeric chicken soup but never with all those spices. Made for lunch today and it's delicious. Almost like watered down curry? No idea how to explain but it's not bad. Added carrot, cabbage and broccoli instead of kale
Thank You so very much Marion for Your Beautiful recipe!! This looks Absolutely Delicious! I am looking forward to making this Sunday afternoon for some friends and I. As always, your time and effort are a Beautiful welcome to the Day, whatever time that may be 😊 Thank You again! Namaste'
I’ve just made this but haven’t added the veg and noodles yet… but it tastes amazing already …. I’ve got the flu and that’s why I decided to make this ❤❤❤
I add siracha sauce to my noodle soups. No to onions for me ( Im allergic) but lots of garlic instead. Garlic is an anti-inflammatory, super yummy and good for you. Regular broccoli add some carrots and spinach instead of kale would be my twist.
Thank you Marion for your video. I’m a big fan of your channel❣️🥰. I have been meaning to ask a question, and now seems like an appropriate time. When making a soup like this for someone who is not at their best. Could you add chicken wonton along with the noodles, or do you think that would be too starchy. I ask because I have always been curious since I know in Asian culture they believe in balance like the yin and the yang, and that this carries over in cooking.
Garlic is also an anti-bacterial as well. So are Onions which are also anti-fungal. Greens are sull of vitamins as aew root veggies like carots, beets, parsnips, turnips, and rutabeggas.
This is fab! Guess what ingredients will be on my shopping list this week?! 😉 My family loves a good chicken soup. This sounds like a great one to have in the freezer ready for those days you’re unwell and don’t feel up to cooking. ❤️👍🏻
Now I'm fascinated bc I don't typically associate cumin AND coriander with chicken or noodle soup. Not unless it was chicken fajitas or something. I was starting to imagine an almost curry flavor, but it's probably not as strong as I think it is. Yet another chicken noodle soup to store in my log of soup recipes! 😋
Marion, could you do a video on different types of noodles? Like how to prepare them and how different types of noodles behave when cooked? I soaked my wheat noodles when I had cooked another recipe and it seems like they all just lumped together.
These are all ingredients we Indians use in our daily meals, and our grandmoms have always emphasized on the health benefits of haldi(tumeric), pyaaz, lehsun(onion, garlic), adrak(ginger) and Hari/laal saabut mirch(whole chillies). Loose some weight, I can cook wqy better. 10k usd on the bet.
You know what, gently slurping your noodles instantly made you relatable to this Asian. So much effort put into those noodles too! Imma try this recipe. Thank you for being such a darling and bridging East and West!
I also add the juice of 2 limes and the rind of one lime to give it a citrusy kick. Excellent recipe.
Hi! I made this soup. It was very delicious. I used collard instead of kale, and added some carrots because I had them. Very yummy! Lasted me 4 days.
Loveee this recipe 🥰 Reminds me of the Tibetan Thukpa. It's a hearty noodle soup with lots of veggies in a turmeric, garlic and ginger base.
Every week I make chicken soup and always something different, but this soup is yummy! That's what I love about diversity!
I love listening to you narrate as you cook, convinced me to make this 😍
Hi Marion! These ingredients and dish is exactly a Malay dish called Mee Soto using yellow egg noodle or rice cubes with corriander leaves and fried shallots as garnish. With drizzle of chili soy sauce. Yes its a soothing, comforting noodle soup..Yummy!!
I love all your recipes marian. Thank you for caring for us through your beautiful soups.

Love love love this recipe! I also chucked in some dried shiitake mushrooms when I made it, can’t beat the chicken and mushroom combo! ❤
Chinese recipe with Indian Masalas, I loved the fusion. This is gonna be my go-to dish for winters.
I was in love 😍 when I saw the kale, it's a great little swiffer 4 the intestines & arteries 👍🏾

I made this tonight - but substituted bok Choy for the Kale. LOVED IT!!!
This looks amazing! I might swap the kale for spinach as I’m not a huge of kale and it’s cold in Melbourne today. Perfect for a cold day.
I'd use silver beet. I don't like kale either. The soup looks great. 👌
I Hate Kale going to try Chinese broccoli.
You read my mind! ...or cabbage!
I made this, and it was amazing! I wish I had made it sooner! I used bokchoy instead of kale because it's what I had in the fridge and I added shredded carrots (again because it's what I had on hand).
