He politely and respectfully trolled him when he pointed his flashlight at the State Trooper on his vehicle.
He is an exemplary embodiment of respect and fairness. The lady driver was decent and respectful and took responsibility for a momentary lapse of concentration. He had a little joke and a laugh and as it was no big deal he let them go about their business. He schooled the drunk guy and let him go . He knows that guy given a little time will realise he was in the wrong and learn from. Any MAN will realise the trooper was very fair in handling of the situation. No power trip just a firm education on what is acceptable.
The guy walking was the decoy and the family just got away with 10 kilos 😂

@tony1967ify State trooper (the individual) has jurisdiction in any public Right-of-Way in the state by which they are employed. Highway Patrol (the agency) does mostly stick to "highways" (in between towns) as most towns and counties have their own law enforcement agencies. But they are not limited to doing so.

State trooper dealt with both situations fairly. We need more like him.
You have more like him than not. By far. I think your statement needs to be corrected to “we need to document more of the Law Enforcement like him, instead of the few bad incidents.” Every single day the vast majority of law enforcement country wide respond to people on their worst day and solve the issues without violence and with everyone’s best interest in mind. That just never gets documented cause it does not sell.
Especially command of all situations including offering a world with more ice cream flavors.

@@cjrod26 No that highway patrol officers aren't held to only police the highways. And makes the streets safer by allowing officers to give full attention to their stop. Plus I think the guys has a way more of a fragile ego that he had to insert himself into something that he has nothing to do with him just to make himself feel better.

@@GingerAle4Life Wrong. There is a reason why driving under the influence of marijuana is still arrestable and considered DUI. The difference is that one puff will get you high, but one drink will not get you drunk. So in some ways getting high is more risky than drinking alcohol

When Trooper Callicoat was on Live PD someone asked why his hat was like that- apparently in Oklahoma, troopers are trained to have that kind of demeanor and hat so people can respect them and be a bit intimidated by appearing to be soldier-like.

@Alexander Von Ehr yeah that is not talking with authority - i would have given the statie a harder time. Then again i wouldnt be yelling at cops or anyone for that matter for no reason - that cop is the reason that people hate state cops. They are just such smug authority high kids. The way he talked was in a condescending way. Sounding like a principal to a kid. Those are two men. They shoukd discuss like to men not like one is the others supreme leader. If he wants respect, its easy to get. One way you can get some is by carrying yourself highly in situations where the other guy isnt. This man pulled up on him and practically made him lick his boots over a shout that drunk dude made. Nothing respectable about what either those two did. Threatening obstruction for that shout was childish.
Funny thing is the only statie from my town is the same kid that got picked on all through high school. He is the last one who needs a gun.

I like how he actually educated the individuals. Great officer!
But what he told the citizen was 100% inaccurate and he was trying to quell his constitutional rights. The courts have ruled that doing what that citizen did is free speech and it is a violation of his rights to stop him. So the trooper lied... or is ignorant of the law. He was showboating big time and he made himself look ridiculous.
This trooper is an absolute role model for professionalism.
