Funny, I have the exact same setup. I do mainly longer time isometrics, though, and use it for radial/ulnar deviation and pronation as well.

Love these man. Never thought to do it this way with the bar. I've always used a 35lb plate which ends up attacking your fingers more than your wrist. Thank you for the upload
If you are doing 35s you probably never lose your wrist anyhow
@RobVigeantRVJ it's very rare for me to lose it. Training with Chad Silvers every week gets your hands strong lol
@RobVigeantRVJ and to clarify I'm talking 5 reps only I just started being able to do the 35s in the past 4 or 5 weeks.
Somewhere there is a video of Richard Lupkes using a 2x4 or 2x6. I think he had a hole drilled through it and was hooked up to a cable machine so he could do side pressure at the same time.

That's extreemly impressive, its feels impossible to do that with a 45 lb plate let alone 50+ lbs
While I don't doubt that Rob could do it with a 45lb plate, that's drastically different than the lift shown in the video. The further out from the fingers the weight extends (like using a 45lb plate) the harder it is. 45lbs in small plates near the fingers isn't even close to the same as 45lbs far outside.

problem is same as people do forearm curls in this position is that as soon as you curl you loose pressure/weight and in 90 degress its nearly zero pressure
All you have to do is decline the arm a little and then, hey presto, there's still tension at the top
The point is having the pressure to curl and maintain wrist.
At parallel there is a boat load of tension.
I don’t curl to 90, maybe 45… there is also plenty of pressure.
At 90 the weight would fall onto you.
The trick is getting the wrist curled from a straight wrist.
I don’t really see people needing to work that curled range as if you were strong enough to get curl going… I doubt you’ll get uncurled by same guy.
