Yes I absolutely love mine in magnacut! So glad that you weren't afraid to go as thin on them as you did because it truly makes it a high performance cutting tool with zero drag while cutting or carving into material...
Once I can get some funds together, I plan on ordering one of these scandis. In the meantime, looking forward to the GSO 4 I already have on order. Keep up the good work!
Still waiting on my GSO 5.1 Magnacut (since 9/22), but liked this so much, and wanted to support your new transparency by ordering one of these last night. Cheers.
Thank you for that, really. We have tons of materials we'll need to repurchase to fully recover from everything, so that's super helpful. We have massive amounts of GSO-5.1s finishing up now. Please keep stalking our social outlets for updates along the way, as they wrap up and leave the building.
I received my Limited Edition GSO-4.5 Scandi grind in 0.095" stock about three weeks ago. And boy, am I stoked? You betcha! I'm pretty much a full flat grind drop point hunter type of guy but this scandi blade is simply fabulous! Initially, I thought it was a tad too thin but the robust and stocky tip boosted my confidence! I personally think the 0.095" stock is just perfect for a scandi knife. Out of the box, this is the most insanely sharpest blade I've ever owned along with my GSO-8! I can't wait for the rest of my GSO and EDC knives plus a Pikal! Hey Guy! I ordered an EDC-3 FFG in K890 (#19479) in April. I'd like to change it to a scandi grind. Any chance you can make it happen? Cheers and Godspeed...
Why? I never understood jimping. It’s needless hotspots that do nothing for function. Does your thumb actually slip off the spine? Never happened to me. I think it’s a mental thing or aesthetic choice. Thoughts?
Wish I could have exchanged my existing order for a magnacut bushcraft for one of these. Especially, considering these were initially made out of the damaged batch my order was a part of. But alas, never heard back from anyone, and it’s back to the long haul waiting game.
Please shoot a message to Info@SurviveKnives.com and Tyler should be able to get that exchanged for you. If you don't hear anything within a few days, drop me a follow up comment here.
I think you're under selling the bow drill pivot point option. It's a great feature on a bush craft/ survival knife, and searching for a knife with this feature is how i found you
We'll be giving that more attention as we get all caught up. Making them requires a mill that we're currently machining mountains of blades with. I do agree, it's an amazing feature and we're working on some ideas for making it even better.
So I am in the market for one of these but I can’t really figure out availability. I have not ordered yet. That being said if I order tomorrow would I be able to get it in either Magnacut or K890 by sometime in January?
K890 is something we can have done for sure. Those are already wrapping up. Most Magnacut blades wrapping up are for current orders but we will be ordering more materials shortly.
I'am not sure what the name of the second model is, think EDC4. I like it a lot. I like the thickness very much, I like thick blades. Very nice design. 👏👍🇨🇿
Guy, do you have any K890 in the GSO 5.1? I was thinking of calling you to swap my order over to K890 from Magnacut but I am not sure if you said you made any for the 5.1 out of K890.
We would like to but more K890 is a good few months away. Right now, what we have is all that exists. K890 Availability & Production Update ruclips.net/video/bsYFmHx9wgY/видео.html
Guy Seiferd Original. If I had come up with that, I would find it to be egotistical, but since my buddy coined it, I'm alright with it. It just kind of stuck right in the beginning of this journey.
They are finishing up right now, alongside orders in Magnacut. I believe we are still a few weeks out on sheaths but other than that, these are just about ready to go.
I can't make any promises but I'm taking those up to Peters' Monday and it's my intention to get them done immediately after they return. I'll put in whatever hours are needed to get all this done asap. Making videos helps keep me accountable to my goals, so expect lots of updates.

Can’t wait for the boys at DBK to check it out in the various steel offerings!
Very informative video! I was on the fence about which model to get - and now I know. Just emailed about adjusting my order.
Looking forward to receiving it from you. Thanks for showing it.

Just ordered one of these last night. Can't wait!
You are REALLY going to enjoy the performance of this steel.

I love your knives
Sure love that handle colour on the thicker one
That is black and red G10. It's really subtle but classy looking.
Stunning knife, so wish it had a little bit of jimping on it. Then it'd be pure perfection.

Is the EDC 5.5 the new hunting knife Guy mentioned?

Are you guys still offering blade coatings?

Sorry. New here. What does GSO stand for?
Guy Seiferd Original. If I had come up with that, I would find it to be egotistical, but since my buddy coined it, I'm alright with it. It just kind of stuck right in the beginning of this journey.
When do you think these will be available in k890

What’s the delivery date on the Elmax version, please?

What scales are those?
The GSO-4.5 has black canvas scales. The EDC-4 is wearing black and red G10.
