Brodie, this might be one of my favorite videos! You have all of my same exact thoughts, lol. When I first saw the "A's / Golden Gate bridge" hat, the first thing I thought is someone was trying to do an "A's and giants" split hat (like from the 80's). I argued that if you were to go away from the "A's / SF" and wanted the Golden Gate Bridge, they should've gone with the golden gate bride and then a Crane. Or with an Oak tree. Come to find out, this is a hat specifically made to be an Oakland A's hat. Which really does make it the worst hat of all time!!

Yep, that first one is pretty bad. Maybe it's supposed to be for A's fans who live in SF? Can't imagine there are many of those. As a Giants fan I got an ad for the equivalent upside down logo hat. I saw that and scratched my head.
I'm an Atlanta Braves fan but if I was an Oakland A's fan I could deal with the Golden Gate Bridge but the a giant split hat makes no sense it'd be cool for a one-off hat for hat collector but other than that it makes no sense
The A's hat with the Golden Gate Bridge is the absolute worst and most inept thing I've ever seen!! The A's/Giants split hat is absolutely terrible, but it's the people who wear that stupid hat who are the worst!!
Both are bad. But A’s/Giants is kind of nostalgic for me. It’s a corny ass fugly hat but you know that when it’s Battle of The Bay you’re gonna see some mfs with it. Oakland Golden gate is just ignorance from a company who’d rather spend their time designing Dodgers and Yankees hats bc they know they’ll sell. So it makes me angry (I’m a Giants fan) bc it don’t take much to find designers who will put some effort and attention into the hats, and therefore shows the willingness to overlook smaller teams. The split hat makes me cringe and I’d never buy it but it makes me think of T-shirts’ that street vendors sell during BOTB or the neon split signs of both teams at bars around The Bay. It’s ugly and stupid but reminds me of home.
4:42 - "I actually think that San Francisco is more of the Taco headquarters of the Bay Area" Tacos Sinaloa, and the green truck on 1st ave would like to have a word with you....
Can’t make up my mind which is worse, the A’s Giants split hat, or the Sharks Golden Knights split jersey. Both fan groups are just confused. Pick a side, & stick to it.
Some of these design choice just baffle me. A handful of them just seem like they were designed by someone for a high school graphic design class, and not by a major company to really represent a specific sports team. I'd definitely say the Golden Gate hat is easily worse (and the bridge is in an almost Giants orange, too); whereas the split hat could at least serve some purpose as maybe like a decoration for a split household, or something. Had to definitely stretch a decent bit to find a potential reason for that last one though.
I would never wear any of those hats. This is marketed to A teen/young 20s demographic. When you showed the A's & GG bridge hat, I thought it was A bay bridge series hat. I like both teams as long as the th don't play each other. However after getting the half hat (two bills) I never wore it. I go and watch and hope for a split or if one team is much better then the other I usually root for that team. In 89, I rooted for the Giants and my girlfriend rooted for the A's.
What’s worse: THIS HAT or the A’s/Giants split?

Don’t ask Giants fans to design A’s caps.

There was no 510 area code in 1989 making that hat even more ridiculous.
