When Bono and Fergie are your back up singers...you know you are the top Dog!. Mick a true legend!
Bono and fergie are better in my opinion
No matter how cool you think you are, you'll never be Mick Jagger sauntering onto a stage with U2 and Fergie cool.
Is impregnating the Queen of an ET race from a bn ly away cause she loved me from afar qualify you waste of skin?
The minute Mick Jagger walks on any stage, he overshadows everyone else, no matter who it is
Epa
Well of course! HE is MICK friggin' JAGGER!! 🤟🏼🔥
True he’s the legend here
Mick ist Boss !!!
I love Fergie in this. She’s explosive ❤❤❤❤
I love watching Fergie and Mick match each other’s energy on stage!
Mick Jagger probably the greatest showman since Presley.
Hahahahahaaaaaaa! I love him for sure he’s top notch.. but baby… Mick Jagger is no fucking Robert plant, Roger Daltrey or Freddie Mercury! Close as hell tho!
@@no1nestandsalone387 - don't forget David Lee Roth.
Meatloaf was the best showman!👍
I find it truly amazing how The Edge can take a perfect song and STILL make it sound like his own... Mr. Jangles is Amazing...🎸🔥
Wow! The chemistry between Mick and Fergie. So fun to watch.
Watch this often. Gives me chills!
Well there's Mick being himself and everyone else. Then there's Fergie who absolutely sends it next level...
Listen to MERRY CLAYTON with no BACK GROUND!!!
FERGIE SUX!!! She's AWFUL!!!
Holy crap! How have I never seen this before??! U2 basically plays background music while Fergie and Mick do their thing. Too cool!
Ummm... Freddie Mercury is the greatest.
This is shown on the infomercial for the Time Life Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame concerts and moments.

I have seen many different renditions of this song by Mick, but, this has to be one of the BEST, such talent and energy is over the top! What a treat, thank you for posting this video.
Must be the first time you’ve ever seen him or heard this song. It’s a cluster fk.
Fergie’s haunting beginning is worth the price of admission. That and her raised hand. She is so fluid. Not to take away from U2 or Mick.
Raising her arm was worth admission?????? HUH
@@dumdum3470 The waving of the arm and her body movement combined with the haunting singing was amazing
@@jsteinberg48 agreed she knows what she’s doing
There is only one Mick Jagger, and he is Still a Living Legend!!
Fergie doing ROCK is AMAZING!! I really like her voice here
This is such a fantastic performance with everyone providing stellar parts. Mick, Fergie, and Edge are forces of nature, with solid support from Adam, Larry, and will.i.am. I also love that Bono seems totally content to play third singing fiddle here. He lets Mick and Fergie be the stars and understates his performance. Goosebumps really hit near the end, when Mick and Fergie face off while Bono softly provides ethereal "da da das."
And U2 almost always are spectacular when covering others' material because their love and respect for what they cover shines through.
This is probably my most favorite version of Give Me Shelter
Yes gives me a thrill. Watch it often!
I was there and I watch this a few x's a month, STILL & dance💃🏽🌿👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼‼
I think a lot of credit has to be given to FERGIE - the least 'seasoned' pro.. manages to hold her own & pushes her singing right to her limit....
Bono is always generous to his guests. Unlike Mick who always needs the attention
Fergie and Mick are excellent together. The best I've seen yet. They compliment eachother.
In tears. My beloved father passed away 2 weeks ago and he used to play this for me at 3 years old on the way to the bus stop. Love you dad. Your song is alive and well.
Sorry about your loss
Barry
Mate
I'm so sorry for your loss
It's nearly twenty years for me
I miss the safe sane place
the world was
Before he went away
You had a very hip pappa
Sorry for your loss
But you had the best of times with him going for a bus ride...
Hi from London btw.....
very sad story !!!!!
I'm so Sorry Barry
The reality of life and loss is hard
It sounds to me that you're Dad was loving and loved in return
In the end its the love that endures
After those we love slip from our grasp
Good luck my

This song is so strong. I love it. And Fergies entrance to the stage was epic. She is so good. Mick is top class and always will be.
This a good version for sure. The Stones doing Gimme Shelter with Lady Gaga is worth a listen. Not Merry Clayton studio good but very good.

Fergie stole the show brilliantly. Great backup band. haha. 🤣Thoroughly enjoyed. 12/10

@Fire TV I agree. I have to say I didn't know Fergie before this and I was thinking, she hasn't really got it for this kind of singing.
Fergie shocked the hell out of me. I had no idea she could actually sing that well. What a great arrangement with U2, I enjoyed more that the usual Stones version.
Super performance by Fergi. I like this version better than the Stones latest versions of Gimme Shelter on their 60th European Tour. Fergi's version is one of the best along with Lisa Fischer's performances with the Stones
Dude.. go to stones with gaga version. Come on.
😂😂😂 that’s good singing?
Agreed. Too many of these singers are saddled with pop songs that really don’t display their talent. Check out Christine Aguilera’s Grammy performance of James Brown’s “It’s a Man’s World” to see her chops.
are you serious???this lady should never be mentioned within a conversation of u2 & jagger let alone share the same stage. sorry but she's not very good-at all!!
I can't stop watching this¡ My lovely Dad passed away 3 years ago! I was brought up on the stones and the kinks etc! I used to dance on my Dad's toes to stuff like this from being in nappies! My Wonderful Dad passed away 3 yrs ago from Alziemers! Best "Totally best Dad in the world" miss him so so much! 🥰💕😎🫣🤗
It's such a Crap Illness! To watch someone you love so much! Not even recognise you on their Death-Bed! It broke my heart! And always will! I miss my lovely Dad so much! But in a strange way! When I play all the stuff we used to dance too! I've got all my Dad's old Record Collection! And an old record player to play it all on ! Classic! You can't beat a bit of VIynal (scuse spelling) not got my glasses on! I'll never part with them! Not for all the money in the world! 💕😎😜🥰
Sorry to hear about your father's passing. Mine is gone 2 years the 21st of May.
I hope the music and memories make you smile.
@@TinaMalarkey-bu7rr I'm so sorry for your loss. But it's so great that you have the memories that you and your Dad created together, and that you can relive those times by listening to those records. I can only hope that my daughter will be able to do the same thing when I go - I know she won't play my records which is sad.
No one comes close to Mick jagger he is better showman than Elvis
Mick is just a presence of his own. Greatest frontman to ever bless us. He just brings it ,every time.

This song is so strong. I love it. And Fergies entrance to the stage was epic. She is so good. Mick is top class and always will be.I like this powerful performance of Gimme Shelter. This song is even more relevant today.
mick jagger and fergie’s energy make this entertaining. without them it wouldn’t even be worth watching
Agree. U2 over-rated (their first 2 albums were epic.. the rest = forgettable).
So true. Particularly Edge: HIs echo sound was great in 1980s pop, but here it cuts away all of the raw energy and urgency that song should have.
From the very first note, U2 was setting themselves up to be the backup for Mick and Fergie, so I wouldn't be too critical of them.
Can only agree! Mick&Fergie really rocked this great Song.
U2 is classy stepping back for Fergie and Mick.
Did you see how Mick came out a guns a blazing ! Like im king and i will rule this stage. Bono has class beyond class!
wow that was good! Fergie suprised me! awsome rocknroll voice
Hello, how are you doing? It is nice seeing you here.
There is no bad version of this song. BEST rock 'n roll song EVER.
Pretty damn epic. It's no wonder the Stones are the greatest rock band ever. Mick just brings it every time.
Greatest rock band ever. No, no. Zepplin have that covered.
@@fyorbane I like the Zappaton too but their legendary status is in part because they went out with a bang. Paige and Plant are undoubtedly among the greatest rock stars of the planet but if you can keep a band together for 60 years and are able to entertain 4 generations you truly are the greatest rock band ever to face the earth.
@@jwm2568 Sorry but I don't agree. Zeppelin shone brighter than any rock band in history. Tragedy struck the band but there legacy remains. In many polls Zeppelin top that as the greatest. The Stones are legendary as are others (Pink Floyd for example) but longevity does not automatically means you are the greatest.
@@fyorbane I love Led Zeppelin....but the Stones have played for 6 decades and were planning a tour. Their library of music is vast and extremely varied. Led Zeppelin #2 :-)

You can literally feel the crowd as jagger comes on. Awesome.
That little raise of Jagger's eyebrows said it all.
I can feel his energy just watching this on my phone. Imagine being there
Yes a very conceited man.

Not better than lisa Fisher

This version is missing the groove of the one that Stones used to perform. At start it is still okay, the further the song progresses, the worse it gets.
Fergie sounds off...not the worse but not even close to great
