@@Paulamdz I think Yetzer HaRa (the evil impulse) would like us to believe it's "just a song". If it's just a song, why does it have the power to move us in the deepest part of our soul? The beautiful ideas presented in this song, are our soul's Phantom Pain, remembering what it was like to demote pride & promotoe love despite differences & difficulties. This collaboration is the very quintessence of the song itself. "We get to carry each other" - if we choose to.
Have you ever listened to U2 for more to an two minutes? You’re missing out on a 26 Grammy wining band, the most of any one ever with over 15 albums and the highest grossing touring band ever. Trust me, you’re missing out big time. Not to mention all of the charities and causes Bono and the band have both started including the One Campaign and Red. Yes you heard me, he is trying to wipe out aids forever. There is absolutely no way any band before or after them will have contributed more to music and the world. Oh and btw, I’ve been to Bono’s home in Ireland, it’s not a flashy crazy bedazzled palace. It’s beautiful but he doesn’t care about that crap and he’s worth $800 million, only second to Paul McCartney. When you see pictures of him on a jet, the jet isn’t rented for an hour photo session, he owns it.

You are so NOT wrong. The brilliance of the song's lyrics (from the original recording) were inexplicably forggoten by me for decades, after making a strong inital impression, but I can never forget this collaboration. Truly the very quintessence of the song itself. "We're one, but we're not the same, we get to carry each other ... one" Certainly Bono seemed content to let Mary carry their song, to a whole nother level! So grateful for the series of miracles that made this song in the first place, and this collaboration and video a reality in the last place!

Dark occult the have made humanity believe this is true.. they no that the soul lifes for ever death should not be something to fear when it comes people should celebrate the soul return the Moon is the portal that the soul is reborn to earth

Yes, "brilliant" would be the word I'd choose. Such an awesome listen!
DAMN her voice is astounding, holding a note with such a powerful voice. Superb 😉
You act like you never had Love! And want Me to Go without… Powerful
Mary, quelle voix
Brilliant, doesn't get any better, Mary's voice is incredible ❤
this version with mary is amazing so brutal !!!!!!
Brutal, but in a "Y'all better love each other, or I'm gonna come down there and crack some heads!!" kind of way.
Laughing 😂
- this is such a really great song and arrangement - i honestly think this is one of her best performances…. 👏
i would say ... the best. often listenin to it, i drop tears
Her duets with Andrea Bocelli and Wyclef Jean are on level with this one

Basically Mary J showed the world what this song was all about

Mary is a legend, not too many singers can work the original, to come out with a masterpiece as well. Both versions are excellent.
the oriigin was good, but she just takes it to another level
U2+Mary=More Than Legends=Sirs & Lady .
And? I think you’re forgetting a legend? You know, the guy that actually wrote the song?
You mean the same guy who felt privileged to sing it with Mary????@@jbzooropa72
MARY J BLIGE owns this song now. Always liked it but anytime i listen to it has to be this version
bono signs with understated elegance , mary with unbridled power and beauty!
What fantastic lyrics and Mary's voice is so powerful.
Being a die hard U2 fan since the 80's, I wasn't sure if I'd like this. Don't get me wrong, I love Mary as well. Just seemed like an odd mix. Listened to it the first time and realized this version may be the best. Now I've got this on most of my Playlists...........love it❤❤❤
Is song I love
Mary J Blige dá luz a esse clássico do U2. Simplesmente fantástica e linda.

We're one but we are not the same, we get to carry each other - Is this not the TRUTH!
ya lo creo que es asi
eric lovelace it is just a song , still beautiful anyways 💖
@@Paulamdz I think Yetzer HaRa (the evil impulse) would like us to believe it's "just a song". If it's just a song, why does it have the power to move us in the deepest part of our soul? The beautiful ideas presented in this song, are our soul's Phantom Pain, remembering what it was like to demote pride & promotoe love despite differences & difficulties. This collaboration is the very quintessence of the song itself. "We get to carry each other" - if we choose to.
Just enjoy the music bro
I have no words to properly express how magnificent this version is.
Hello Kattentress, how are you doing)
Sooooo agree!

Never realized how powerful this song is until I heard this version.
Its really lovely seeing artists of the same caliber from different genres working together. Beautiful.
Oh Yeah.
Mary is as much of a rocker as she is an r&b girl.
now if everyone could follow that lead
Wonderful Music Video ❤
Thank You Very Much Mary J. Blige & U2 ❤️

Gianluigi Francesco Vico
Thank you also ❤
Honestly, I’m not a big U2 fan but this version of the song with Mary absolutely kills it and is now in my song library.
Verschiedene federn den Schlag ab MM
Sono 2 grandi voci eccezionale .✌💯👍
Same here
For me Mary added spice to a very vanilla song. It has great lyrics but the U2 version just doesn't bring any fire.
It's one of the best duets I've ever heard. What a voice you have Mary - it makes me shiver when I hear.
The duet took the song to another place ... thank you Mary and thank you to U2
you are both gifted with talented !!
Totally agree. Mary is awesome. Keep returning to this U2 One version. Brilliant!
This is how true artists collaborate, brilliant.
Live and learn people from this masterclass.
I agree totally Mary is a different league and u2 just show their brilliance love this

I'm generally indifferent to U2 and Mary, but this performance touches my soul
sept 2024 and still always a banger
MARY gives me chills on this song! Rips my heart out, stomps on it and leaves me crying while being dragged by a speeding bus over broken glass!
William McSpirit and would probably ask for seconds
One ❤️ love baby.
Incredible heartfelt vocals. Mary took us to church. Thank you U2 and Mary 🙏🏼❤️
Mary brings the emotion and power wow she blows me away everytime

Sing don't holler.
Screeming your ass off is like squeezing a fart out with all your might.
That's not singing.
Control that voice that's singing, the right scales the right notes..
With all the troubles in the world this song just seems timeless.
Goosebumps. This song resonates with the hopeful spirit that still survives aside a tiny candlelight in my withered soul. One song = Universe ✌🏼
It's a brilliant song that resonates with people that might not necessarily be a fan of either artist. I love U2 and appreciate Mary J. She killed it.....
Be brave, stay strong, wait for the signs.
Hope on life support atm.❤
i hope you are ok, love rob
Still listening to it now 2024 ❤brilliant song x

Yep! Right now with some delicious red wine!

A voz de Mary J. fez essa canção atingir todo o potencial que tinha. U2 acerta até nisso.
Love this version. Never get tired of listening to it
Hello Doris, how are you doing?
The energy that Mary J: Blige brought to the song made it quite a different song.
I agree. I didn't like the original very much, but I LOVE this version.
I don't think I'd a listened to this song if it wasn't for fantastic voice of Mary j Blige xx
[Verse 1]
Is it getting better
Or do you feel the same?
Will it make it easier on you, now
You got someone to blame?
[Chorus]
You say one love, one life
When it's one need in the night
One love, we get to share it
Leaves you, baby, if you don't care for it
[Verse 2]
Did I disappoint you
Or leave a bad taste in your mouth?
You act like you never had love
And you want me to go without
[Chorus]
Well, it's too late tonight
To drag the past out into the light
We're one, but we're not the same
We get to carry each other, carry each other
One
[Verse 3]
Have you come here for forgiveness?
Have you come to raise the dead?
Have you come here to play Jesus
To the lepers in your head?
[Chorus]
Did I ask too much? More than a lot
You gave me nothing, now it's all I got
We're one, but we're not the same
Well, we hurt each other, then we do it again
[Bridge]
You say love is a temple, love a higher law
Love is a temple, love the higher law
You ask me to enter, but then you make me crawl
And I can't be holding on to what you got
When all you got is hurt
[Final Chorus]
One love, one blood
One life, you got to do what you should
One life with each other
Sisters, brothers
One life, but we're not the same
We get to carry each other, carry each other
One
One
[Outro]
Ooh-ooh-ooh
Oh-ooh
May we, may we, may we get
Higher
Oh, higher
(Ay, yeah, go) higher
(Oh) Higher
😊
😍
Up 🎶🎶🎶

She certainly did! ; )
One of my all time favorites, and Mary J doing what she's done her whole career, doesn't matter what style of music she kills it.
Gli U2 avevano fatto un capolavoro, e con Mary J.Blige a interpretarla ha raggiunto livelli unici e si può attestare tra le 50 canzoni più belle di tutti i tempi.
Esatto ! disamina perfetta bravo!
@@AnonimoItaliano-s2tgrazie 😊
Mary has a power and an energy that glues me to this video every time I watch it.!! You can tell she's deeply feeling the lyrics and music. Bono is still resonating beautifully. Even the rest of the band really starts getting into it when she belts out those notes!! She could command a whole stadium and then some. She's so gifted and beautiful!!
