- How To Keep Homeschool Records || Record Keeping || Homeschool Portfolio
Today I am sharing how we keep homeschool records for 4 kids in one portfolio. I am going to lay out what supplies you will need, how I have it organized, and what to do about those subjects that are harder to keep track of because they are not primarily book work subjects. So tag along as I show you inside my portfolio and I hope it will help give you ideas for your creating your own.

I LOVE all the things you do in your homeschool and how organize your portfolio is I would definitely be saving this video and even though we do grade testing for our evaluations now I still would love to continue making portfolios for my own records.
Mrs. Mom’s Homeschool I love it because it’s for records but it also makes such a fun memory binder.
Yes. Great video
Glad you enjoyed it.
I signed up for HSLDA this year. I found benefits instantly.
Homeschool Happens I love love love HSLDA. They have provided so many resources for us.
Yes it really is a huge benefit
Jenn here is a video I did of the benefits of HSLDA ruclips.net/video/rcEZzLijO-E/видео.html
This is so helpful, because even though in Illinois we don’t have to keep records I am considering it just in case.
Yeah it is not require here either but I think it is important to do regardless. It never hurts to be prepared.
I love how organized you are! We don't have to keep records but I do have each kid keep a notebook each year just in case. it's just organized with page dividers by subject.
We used to do that as well I just ran out of space for all the kids notebooks lol so I decided to condense it.
So great!! Thank you..
🙋♀️💓
Your Welcome
May God continue to bless you!!!💝💙💝💙🐦
Thank you and you too.
You have done a wonderful job!
Lonestar Homeschool Mama aww thanks! It’s a work in progress.
You did an amazing job!
Thanks it has taken me years to find the perfect system for our family.
I love you portfolio cover. So cute.
Thanks! Rebecca Spooner makes them and puts them up for free on her site every year
Fantastic! Thank you! I need to organize my records better, and I am going to try a few things you suggest. I like the idea of putting things on disk in the binder. I am terrible at printing pictures
sabatham yeah plus there are just way to many pics to store if I printed them all.
@@LifeintheMundane I have all ours organized on the computer, but I think a disk is so perfect! I have loads of rw disks, too! Not sure why I didn't think of it before!
Here in uk we don’t need to keep records but we do just in case. Wow homeschooling insurance never heard of it! Amazon is fantastic for everything 🥰
Crazy Carneys Family vlogs UK yeah I don’t know what we would do without Amazon
So glad I found your channel I have been learning so much I live in Texas and we aren't required to keep portfolios, test or record hours but I definitely want to start keeping a portfolio .. also I was wondering if you happen to remember what manners work book you used ?
I don’t remember but I can check for you.
@@LifeintheMundane that would be awesome, thank you :)
In my state i dont have to track anything really just a portfolio but i want 4 myself a way to track my sons progress so i can fig out wat i need to help him with and wat he does great at.
Yes it is the same for me
Would you recommend creating a homeschool binder even if with a charter school?
I would bc it’s just an extra layer of protection and a fun way to keep memories from the year.
Thank you!
what site did you use for the reading record?
Homeschoolon.com
Our law doesn’t need a profile until 7 did u keep profiles on your early years before 7 ?
Simply Raising Arrows I think my oldest was either 6 or 7 when we started but I do keep records of the early years now and honestly my advice would be start young bc there is such a big learning curve. Your records will get better so you don’t have to start now but if you do, your records will be in much better shape by the time your legally required to have them. But definitely don’t stress over it now.
Life in the Mundane I started and got behind and didn’t log Everything I thought I wanted to because our plans didn’t go as I planned either so I feel so behind
