The mint you tried is a very very Indian thing, its called "paan" needs an acquired palate. You ate it right, its just not the taste you are accustomed to. Also, it should be made fresh, any "paan" which is kept in a box can not do justice to the real thing, and the person making it makes personalized for each customer. So, no worries... keep trying more snacks there are still a ton more.

12:24 There is a small group of people in India called Jains. They are a minority religion. One of their main beliefs is non-violence. They tey to avoid violence at all costs. Even to plants and trees. So they do not prefer esting roots as to get a root, the entire plant needs to die.
No onion no garlic is added to food packs so that the jain people know that they can consume it without being in conflict with their beliefs. Note that onions and garlic are the most common roots consumed in India
Similarly there is a green dot in a green square to identify the foods as vegetarian (different from vegan as milk is allowed in vegetarian stuff)
While non vegetarian foods are now marked as a red triangle withing a red square.
Earlier it was a red dot in a red square, but to improve accessibility for color blind people, the regulation was changed to a red triangle

The mints which u didn't like is actually supposed to be a betel leaf stuffed with lotsa digestives (sweet ones too sometimes ) and is a highly acquired taste..not everyone's cup of tea...hence understandable...youve just scratched the surface in terms of the variety that's available in Indian snacks and munchies...there's TONS more...

  • @nidhirai4315

Jeera is hindi for Cumin. There are many people in India as well who have no liking for those jeera drinks.
The last one that you ate was 'Paan' which is betel leaf and other spices and you didn't eat it wrong, its an acquired taste, not something that everyone likes in the first instance. It's a mouth freshener, hence the strong taste and smell, not meant for everyone.😆😆
Also Pista is hindi for Pistachios not the short form😅😅

Jeera or cumin is cooling - which is why we in India appreciate it as it helps to be cool in the hot climate. It is also a micronutrient with medicinal properties- jeera is helpful to ward off acidity & flatulence

Absolutely 🙏🙏you guys are really fun to watch.... whenever you are planning for Indian cuisine please let us know in advance...or do a polling of the dishes before starting.....it will be fun....some suggestions...Chola Bhatura but have it hot, Amritsari Kulcha and Black Lentils, Butter or Garlic Naan with any Non Veg or veg curry, Currys eg: ( Butter Chicken, Tandoori chicken, Chicken Curry, Chicken tikka masala, Kadai Chicken), and rest I guess the restaurant person will guide you. You eat all this with Naan bread or Tandoori Roti....oohh heaven on earth 😘😘😘...now one thing don't try all of them at once the authenticity will be difficult to judge...so try with 2 or 3 combos....there are multiple Veg dishes which are amazing.... 🙏🙏 Let me know if you have any other questions.....and trust me any questions...I will guide you with complete authentic reasons and proper explanation....

The cardamom juice is basically milk + sugar + some cardamom powder.
Cardamom is a spice which is not hot, but flavourful, its often added to sweets to give it fresh flavours.
In nature cardamom pod is there which is green in colour (Fresh green) then the pod is broken (easily) and the dark brown seeds come from inside it,
Cardamom seeds are even chewed to be used as an instant natural mouth freshner

I really hate jeera based drinks. People are giving you wrong suggestions. If it's too strong for Indian taste buds it definitely won't suit Americans. I would suggest you guys to avoid the spicier ones and try the neutral ones.

There are some versions of the jeera drink, one is where it is added with coke ,its good to hv after a spicy meal...or maybe on a hot day you might like it then, you know you can't be having certain types of combos , like having a milk tea then going for the jeera drink. The paan stuff is actually a spicy, sweet etc blend of ingredients rolled by together with a leaf that has a strong taste but usually is supposed to be chewed and spat out...it is not taken by many people as it stains the teeth red ,also might contain tobacco, it is not a snack , some take it as a mouth freshener but mostly it is a form of tobacco. The pack u tried might not hv tobacco but only the leaf and spices ....the leaf does have a very peculiar taste but it is good for digestion and has some medicinal properties.

Cardamom Is elaichi, and is a popular Indian spice. You can search on google and you will see the picture of it. Its a very common spice worldwide and if you ever eat biryani you will see too many of them in biryani.

    Hazmola
    Chavanprash
Pan (which you ate at last)
We adore them but they are not made for you 😉

    Hi SIU,
I like your videos and your cadid opinion on tastes. I also don't like that Jeera drink. My most favourite snack is Bakarwadi and Chakali(similar to Murukku) I deep it in tea and then eat it. At home or in most of the restaurants fennel seeds are eaten after meal as mouth freshener.

FROOTI is just above everything to me. I can drink the whole FROOTI section from a store.
Drink that juice in the morning after whole night of getting drunk. It will make you crave more.
For me, as an interesting fact, I think there is specific timing for consumption of every products in India which will make you go zing zing just like FROOTI after drunk.
