The Jamun pop is kind of an Indian fruit roll up snack on a stick , fruits like mango,guava,jackfruit,tamarind are turned to pulp and then dehydrated (traditionally they used to be sun dried) with salt , spices like red-chilli , aam choor (dry mango powder) and chaat masala. I guess it's close to Mexican Chamoy /Tajin seasoning.
It was maybe the most interesting snack we have tried yet!

Raw jackfruit can be pickled, used as a meat substitute in curries....
Ripe jackfruit is bright yellow, sweet and has a very strong aroma - I love it.
The Jamun trees have very delicate branches. Mostly the young children climb those trees and have fun.
I used to do that in my childhood. Fell down a couple of times. They always tasted better from the neighbours tree.

The candy has Java Plum fruit (Jamun) as main Igradient along with ofcourse the Indian spices.
There are so many sweet savory fruity candies like of mango, guava, pineapple, orange etc.

The last one that is the desi pops is a mixture of liquid jaggery and spices which is cooled into kind of pops it comes in all sorts of flavours mostly spicy such as tamarind ,mango,gauva, strawberry etc.

Interesting thing is that in northern side we make sabzi or curry of raw jackfruit but in southern side they eat ripen on as a FRUIT

Dude Jamun is a fruit and what you had was really healthy.
Jamun is such a fruit that if you dry and crush the Jamun seeds into a powder.
It helps maintain your suger levels in case of diabetes.
In India you will find families if you ask them they have never consumed meat since generations not even eggs and yet they are enjoying a good and healthy lifestyle with lots of Indian vegetarian recipes.
And a jackfruit can be cooked as a vegetable or chips or a pakoda when it is raw but the same thing turns into a healthy fruit once it is ripe.
You will fall in love with india if you love food
Here's a nice challenge for you... ask an Indian friend to help you pick out a ripe jackfruit. Cut it open yourself and eat it.
It's so hard I do it only about once a year 🤣. The fruit is tasty! But it's such a pain to cut.
The fruit has to be ripe, otherwise, you will hate the whole experience. The "fake meat" ones are unripe jackfruit. We use those also, but it's a whole different beast.

Savory candy. Simple.
The candy stick are made out of different available fruits in India. They cut the fruits into pieces than dry them in machines or sun light for long time. After that mix them with Indian various spices and mix them with sugar in a big big giant pot. After that cool down them n attached with candy sticks put them in cold cooler room thats it ready to pack n deliver world wide.
Gond Laddu ---- The term 'GOND' means Resin or Gum from pinous trees that is usually consumed in winters in different forms. Usually mixed with various other nuts and berries in making Winter Indian Sweets.
Jamun is black plum, it's sweet and sour, they added some spices to it in the candy
Snackmaster Jamun is basically Indian blackberry or what you guys call Java plum. Also you still haven't tried Haldiram's BHUJIA SEV and TASTY NUTS yet as well 😔. Oh & most importantly I would really like that you do a comparison video between Indian butter and American butter please, cause AMUL butter is the life line of India. Apart from that I personally believe that butter and cheese from India has a very peculiar taste, it would be a good short video. Just take a toast and spread both butter and review them. ❤SIU⚜

The last thing on stick, It's called Chigli in kannada language. It got tamarind, sesame seeds, molasses, pepper, and a fruit called Jamun or Nerale which is a tropical dark violet fruit.
It's healthy for toddlers for some reason which i don't recall.
Jackfruit people sometimes consider them as a fruit but not it depends if the fruit is matured or not , before getting ready if you want to use it , it will be good for curry's but when it is ready it becomes fruit and people inside part of it . Same thing with banana vice versa

Jamun is a fruit and Gulab jamun is a sweet rather having same name these are 2 different things. Jamun have 2 types of flavours one is less sour and the other one is sour but no sweet texture, if it's more sour people eat Jamun fruit with salt . It's very popular in North east India
