Was Mankind vs Undertaker in a Hell In A Cell the best gimmick match of all time? Let us know in the comments below.
Lita vs Trish in bra and panties match.
Ha.
I witnessed that match live. Pure insanity and awesomeness. Won’t forget it as long as I live.
It happened on my 8th birthday, i was in Year 4 or 5 at Primary school, family couldn't afford Sky Sports so all i got was WCW on 4/5 and the occasional VHS, a friends Mum had taped the whole PPV from Sky Box Office for me! When i got home that night......It changed my life!
Yes
No. It's a poorly conceived train wreck with substandard equipment.
I could listen to Foley talk endlessly.....
Long story short, I hear yah.
Short story long... That's good because the beginning and end of this video are him talking about drastically different things that have basically... NOTHING to do with each other at all... But I watched the whole thing too and when it was done thinking "Aw man... That's it?"
Starts talking about HIAC at 8:45 , though the rest is still good
Ur doing God's work in the comments dude! Thanks lol
Thank you sir
Him in a janitor closet. As his office As the commissioner was. Hilarious 👋🤣
"Good God Almighty. Good God Almighty. That kil led him. As God is my Witness. He is broken in half" - Jim Ross
You forgot the exclamation points !!!!
Oh that’s it he’s done he’s dead
I think it’s important, too, that JR made the comment: “They’ve killed him!”
Who is “they”? I think it was JR thinking certain people had talked Mick into taking those bumps & slipping up during his commentary. Just my thoughts on it.
@@kdizzle901so nonchalantly by king 😂🤣
That's it he's dead-- Jerry The King Lawler
all 3 matches he said were the best at the end, I totally agree. it's crazy to think 20 years ago you had to watch them all in various mediums but now you can just tune into Peacock and they're all there. we're living in the future!
Mick didnt need to take all those crazy bumps. His promos, and his commissioner segments are some of my favorite moments.
Top 3 of all time alongside Shawn and Steve.
Yep
Most of the reason for him taking so many crazy bumps was because he had been told he would never get over or be considered a top guy because of his body shape. He took that to heart and went nuts in ecw then wwe
He’s hardcore and fitted with his mankind demeanour
Crazy mick is a legend but mox and them are bums 😂😂
No but the opinion of him by the fans completely changed after that HIAC. That’s when he started to turn baby face.
Foley and Heyman are the only people that I'll excitedly listen to them talk about anything.
Have you ever heard raven talk about the business? He's up there
@@Alexander-bp2htRaven or Maven?
I remember being a kid and Bischoff played a tribute video on Raw for Mick and it made me cry like a baby.. Loved him then. Mick is a treasure.
Mick and Taker are still the best. They were a big part of my childhood. Hell in a cell epic.
Sheamus.... what legend 🇮🇪
"As hard as you can fella, as hard as you can" - Sheamus
My fav wrestler of all time! And yes Hell in a cell, best match of all time.
I used to really enjoy Hell in the Cell the way it was, but it's been changed over the years I can no longer enjoy it.
It first started with 2 people walking in with no weapons but themselves. The 1st was with the Undertaker and Shawn Michaels. Several good ones after that like the one Mick talks about with The Undertaker. I can't remember when it changed, but now 2 people walk, and there are weapons underneath the ring. It takes the mystery out of it, plus at times, a weapon has been thrown over the top.
The old days were better.
@@conniecarroll747there where weapons in the Shawn vs taker hell in a cell
It's not even a good match.
So glad he called off his upcoming match.
He was going to have a match??
@@Terrythetroll.Yes but while he was working out and losing weight he called it off
@@Terrythetroll. While training, Mick somehow got a concussion and wasn't even sure how. That was enough for him and his family to call it.
I’m not. He better give us that match he promised.
@@Trumpisgod Foley has paid his dues 5 times over. He owes nobody anything.
I think the street fight w HHH and the HIAC w HHH were amazing as well.
Mick is definitely one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. He did things that nobody else would even consider, as long as he believed it was to make the match the best it could be. He truly loves the business and it shows. Nothing but mad respect.
Mick Foley a great professional wrestler!
Such a gentleman!
❤
Seen that hell in a cell match live. Pretty sure the entire crowd was in disbelief when he just laid there. When he got off that stretcher and ran back down the ramp the roof came off that place.
I was watching the PPV with a friend of mine and my older brother. We thought Mick was dead.
Mick nothing but respect for you
It's truly a shame that Mick and HBK didn't work together more.
Loved watching Mick wrestle
Great matches with HBK. Loved this guy hard work. One of my top 10 wrestlers of all times.
Legend.
I'm surprised he doesn't think of the 2000 Royal Rumble Street Fight with Triple H as one of his best matches cuz that match really pivoted H3 into the main event scene
It's way better than the ones he mentioned. Edge at WM too.
As Ron Simmons would say.... "DAYUMMM"
Long live this legend.
Mick Foley, Paul Heyman, Dustin Rhodes, and Chris Jericho...not that anyone asked, but thats my "I'd listen to him read a Dictionary" Mount Rushmore...i always love hearing them tell their stories, putting their 'perspective twists' on it...
These are so good
His ecw days was crazy . He's always a great person!
Mick is a gem. Protect him at all costs.
The look on Steve Austin’s face in that backstage pic says it all
Which one?
@@MASTAHMELO Not in this video, but there is a famous one you can find where Mick is sitting backstage with thumbtacks all over him and Steve is looking at him in wonder
Anyway u can link it?@chrisxavier3147
Having met Mick in person, he spoke publicly at my college back in 2004 or 2005, and was promoting his book. Mick has always been a great public speaker. He is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. He can make you laugh joke and even be serious. How he talks on the internet is who he is 100 pct.
He’s a legend
The fact that Mick consistently mentions Evansville, Indiana blows my mind. Especially in the same breath as Memphis, Tennessee. Evansville is a city, but that's just technicality. It's very small comparatively is all. Just every time I hear it I get this feeling, like if I came home to find a super hero sitting on my couch. I feel special that he remembered this really small place. It's classy, it makes me like him, and that's why he is so fondly talked about and remembered. That's probably why he married a model. Dude has undeniable rizz.
Inside The Ropes, I really enjoyed this video, so I hit the like button!
Met Mick in Huntsville last year dude is such a a genuinely nice guy it was early he didn't have anyone at his booth yet and we talked for around 10 minutes and nothing about wrestling other than I asked if Mark Callaway (undertaker) was a nice guy or not (he said he was one of the nicest in the locker room and most helpful to new talent) so it was great
Mick is such a cool guy to listen to
Hearing “Foley taint” was wild
MICK FOLEY IS TRULY GODS GIFT TO THIS WORLD!!!!! Mr and Mrs. Jack Foley truly created the most hardcore big hearted amazing Man A TRUE LEGEND AND INSPIRATION TO JUS BE A GOOD HUMAN! 🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿 SALUDE MICK!
The best in the business at what he did.
Inside The Ropes, This video is fantastic! I liked it a lot!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💐💐💐 u deserve ur flowers mr jack
The way he described wrestling Ricochet was brilliant.
All my life Ive been waiting to hear the phrase "Foley taint", and now its happened. I can rest now lol
"Worst brogue in the world" he says... LMAO that was a pretty good impression 😂 Mick is as humble as they come. Foley for president.
I may never do anything as impressive as Mick Foley, but i'll always have one thing over him:
I can always go back and enjoy everything he ever did in his career.
Mick is a G.O.A.T along with the undertaker I remember watching that match on ppv the night it happened I was so scared for him up there on top of the cell and I don't care if you're a wrestling fan or not those bumps he took that night were career ending and he got up from both and still wrestled a incredible match tooth in his nose torn bloody lip and dislocated shoulder and all the undertaker is my favorite wrestler but anytime him and mick fought I would just enjoy the match and not pick a side anybody else taker fought I always wanted taker to win and I think it was mick's great character because even though he was crazy and violent you still felt for him and like mick said that will go down as the greatest match in wrestling history and mick may not think it but he had a lot of great matches his stuff with kane and him as cactus Jack all his barbwire matches and death matches then mick is so nice and so humble him and taker they really are great but mick stay humble but embrace your greatness there will never be another you thanks for all you did mick
Mick was such a great wrestler, but hes an even better person.
When yokozuna jumped off the cell it created lake eerie
Mick is ausome
Awesome*
Foley is a guy that gave every ounce of himself to become a star. It's hard to watch sometimes...you can tell he's in a lot of pain
8 minutes in and he hasnt mentioned it yet lmao
edit: he talked about it for one minute in a 15 minute long video and didn't even mention the reaction to the dive specifically. I love listening to Mick so personally i don't mind, but this is like BLATANT click bait.
Shawn was on that 🍚 😂😂😂😂😂
Foley been wearing the same shirt for 25 years 👋
It’s his woobie. Bonus points if you get that reference.
"I wanna be remembered as the world's most polite wrestler"
When he was commissioner in 1990? More like 2000 6:37
Alot of concussions
Mick just loves Rhea Ripley
He's so hard on himself. Only 3 matches & it's weird that Orton is one of the 3. I don't consider that a top 5 for him. I would have thought Terry Funk was on that list. He's definitely a complicated guy. There are layers to him, it's no wonder he has so many identities. I remember when his book came out my friend & I got it & we were both taken aback at how well he wrote it. It's common knowledge now, but back then Foley wasn't know as a literary genius.
If there was a WWE Bible of some sort, this story would be engraved in it
With the respect that Mr. Foley will know is genuine, this guy was fucking insane in his career. He has absolutely no reason to still be alive, let alone walking and talking about his experiences
Evansvillian here - Mick, I’m sure it was enough for us!
Did he say 1990?
101 thousand fans? I thought the highest attendance was only 80k at ALL IN
how do you not ask what he had in mind to do in that HIAC
Sheamus was just acknowledged by mick foley
Mick is the exception to the rule of taking insane bumps and making money
What about the match with Edge at WM, that match should be in his top matches of all time
It’s a shame someone didn’t have a NO TOUCH LIST for Vince and Johnny A 😂
Foley needed one as well....
Angel amoruso accused him of loads of VILE shit
Huge endorsement for Ricochet
Does Mick's shirt say "The Cripler?"
You better give us that match you promised.
Trump 2024
The luckiest dude on earth he prolly beat his cte in a hard-core fight
If this is recent as in say the last week or so Mick did this interview. I have to say he's lost a SHIT TON of weight...!!! I was getting pretty concerned for him. Because he was getting grossly obese there for a while.
Description says it's from 2019.
In that case he’s put on a significant amount of weight.
Yea this is old
Mick Foley said taint
Mick saying about Shawn Michaels having his quick change from quiet in the locker room to being well, shawn michaels that we know in the ring... anyone want to gamble on how much Columbian Marching Powder was taken between the two moments?
Did mick foley get paid to come there and speak in front of the people ?
No, he actually had to pay for parking and studio access. Not to mention airfare and hotel booking. Mick probably lost a few hundred dollars just to tell us some stories.
@@robineir Foley is a legend.
Is it really necessary to call it a shoot 😂?
Who's the kid interviewing? He seems completely disinterested. Meanwhile, so sorry that so many of you weren't there for these days of great wrestling....music, movies, or anything else. Nonetheless, good that you appreciate all that Gen-x did, however, just show us more respect. Just come up with some actual original ideas of your own, then you all can do something great as well.
Seems shawn was fine working with talent unless he felt threatened by them
Normally
Painful click bait. Dont do that man. Its not cool.
Foley and ECW ruined wrestling
Shut up
Foley hasnt aged in 20 years lol
