Like WCW when Paul White came to the ring smoking, because he had no role other than walk out and be in the corner or somewhere ring side.
In WWE that was about pecking order, paying dues eventually someone requested to wrestle with Big Show to properly promote him.
That is what it takes in hostile takeovers turf wars happen like fitting into a new school.

My Opinion- Thought..AEW Tony- pays you just to be there doesn't use the Wrestler's properly
It's like a baseball cards, Wrestling Toys, Pokemon Cards,. All Tony wants is no one else to have great talent
And Using the Same Camera angles,Lights,is wrestler's take verbal shots at others on another wrestling company. When those other companies don't give a shit. Those companies are busy Bettering Themselves
Tony, is just throwing away daddy's Money
Shad (Tony's dad) should take the money away from his son..sell the company to whoever.

@@scottiewiseman1192You have it backwards. TNA hired tons of washed-up WWE stars, not the other way around. ROH meanwhile was just WWE's unofficial talent farm. And the modern NWA has only existed since like 2019. Before that NWA basically didn't exist.

That’s why Vince McMahon winning the wrestling war also doomed wrestling. It used to be that fans would root for a wrestler, plain and simple. Now, it’s rooting for the brand that brings it to you. The death of actual professional wrestling.

Pro Wrestling in the 2020's are more like Team Sports /Sports Franchises with Crazy fan bases that rival :REAL" sports . And Vince McMahon MADE it that way ,when it became The BRAND getting over ,than the individual wrestlers, which took away power from the Wrestlers.

Pretty sure he knows what that's like. But Idk how that's relevant to this clip anyway, considering that it's a clip of Cornette expressing confusion at how these highly-paid pro wrestling stars who appear on worldwide TV on a weekly basis allow themselves to get pushed around by WWE's backstage guys when they're millionaires who can easily get a job with AEW in the span of a few days, as if getting fired means the company can take away all the money in their bank account too.

Cornette is overthinking this, i think. Threatening to fire a wrestler is totally valid because every fan at home can relate to not wanting to be fired.
The audience even started applauding after he made his point. It wasn’t a “that’s exactly what i was thinking” applause. It was a “hmm he’s got a point. I never thought about that” applause

This goes back to the old days ,when a wrestler loses a match and he's "gone for 90 days" and kayfabe fans(who probably didn't have other than local TV, no cable and didn't know about other Territories). Thought that the wrestler didn't have any other income than wrestling, "What is he going to do for money???" The You're fired thing only Worked with Vince McMahon. If somebody says you're fired now , the fans at home are thinking he's got enough money to sustain himself for about a YEAR, it's not really that believable
