Hogan wanting Sheik to break Warrior's leg is hilarious because wasn't there a rumor that.. was it Verne Gagne, someone offered to pay Iron Sheik to break Hogan's leg
Another example of Vince not living up to business promises. The conversation had gone on for months. Good on Warrior for knowing how to deal with Vince unlike other guys that worked their asses off for vince only to end up broke.
Jake the Snake had already lost out on the opportunity to work with Hogan, but he was scheduled to have a run with the Warrior after turning heel by arranging for the Warrior to get snake-bitten (in kayfabe). But he lost the opportunity to work with the Warrior also after the Warrior got fired over this. Apparently, Vince McMahon turned to Jake after the Warrior had been fired and said to him, "You've got the worst goddamn luck!"
Where did he hear the warrior was in bad health prior to the hall of fame? I saw video of the warrior not long before that and he still looked in great shape. He was smaller but he still was training everyday
Nope. Warrior was paid; he simply decided he should have got over half a million more, and suddenly wanted the same cut on merch and the perks as Hogan or he’d no-show SummerSlam. Unwise.
Its another case of Vince lying and getting held up for what he promised. Warrior was supposed to get $2 million to drop the strap against Hogan at Wrestlemania 7 which would have been at the LA Coliseum... and probably sold it out as a Warrior vs. Hogan part 2. Tickets were still being sold for the Coliseum at that point in the Royal Rumble where Warrior dropped the strap to Slaughter. But... the geniuses at WWF in their infinite booking wisdom turned Slaughter into an Iraqi sympathizer trying to draw off some USA USA storyline.... which didnt get over at all and tickets stopped selling at the sports arena limit. I'm surprised Warrior put Sgt. Slaughter over.... he probably did that thinking he'd still be compensated. Wrestlemania 7 = stacked card but everyone should wrestle everyone else. Such bad booking. Another possible match was Actually Hogan vs Greg Valentine ... im serious as a heart attack they had house shows at the long beach sports arena I remember that Summerslam for the IC title match of Bret Hart vs Mr Perfect.
Bret Hart NEVER held Vince McMahon up for money he worked for less than Warrior and Hogan,DESERVED MORE than both, gave a 4 to 5 star match every single time, Bodybuilders at WBF took Bret's EARNINGS so Vince could have his PERVERTED FETISH over Oily Men,Bret brought International Power to WWF/WWE,countries that despised anything in the USA absolutely LOVED United States PRO-WRESTLING because of Bret being from Canada,Bret was screwed over 4 different times by WWF/WWE from 92' to 97',Bret's brother Owen was dropped from the ceiling his Family name drugged through the ground..and Vince let Warrior get away with holding a Financial gun to His head, gave him the money, brought him back 3 different times after the fact..BRET HART should have left after WM12 then WCW would have WON THE MONDAY NIGHT WARS and Bret would have had the Recognition,Respect and Revenge he Deserves!! ✊
Actually Bret did hold up Vince/WWf and admitted to doing it. He was sick of WWf making promises of a push (ofcourse the bigger pay that would come with it) that was never coming. So he held them up until they gave him the promised push, and got it. Warrior did kinda the same thing, he was trying to get what he was worth, and instead got screwed. But Bret and Warrior weren't the only ones to do it. Hogan demanded more money after WM1, and got it. Honky Tonk Man threated to leave with the IC belt if they didn't give him a bigger contract, and got it. These isn't the only times Hogan and HTM did stuff like that, and I'm sure they weren't the only ones.
It's all bs from McMahon. It wasn't the day of SummerSlam. It happened a couple of months before. Ultimate Warrior provided evidence on his website where McMahon signed and dated the fax of those negotiations.
That's how promoters sometimes dealt with unruly wrestlers back in the territory days. Sometimes if a wrestler tried to hold the promoter up at the arena at the last minute, one or two shooters would take the guy in the broom closest or out in the parking lot and straighten him out.
@@rickstalentedtongue910 - Hulk wrestled in Japan for years where it is the hardest style so that lame claim that he avoided stiff wrestlers is nothing more than some sissy fan delusion. Who didn't Hulk wrestle, who did he duck and avoid???
Warrior was the man. In a business where you either sellout to yourself or you play by your own rules he did just that. He wasnt one of the boys and thats ok. Some guys just arent followers. Jim was far from perfect but he did it his way and thats commendable!
That's the thing, Warrior wasn't a boy he was a man because he stood on his own two feet and didn't suffer fools or liars. 'The boys' is almost an insulting demeaning term. I don't know why anyone would want to be referred to as a boy especially if they are over 6' tall and over 230lbs.
@@bw3230 On the other hand, a lot of wrestlers from the 80s and 90s were bullies and/or deeply insecure, so calling them boys isn't really far-fetched…
@@gilson1982In an alternate universe had Warrior been disciplined and the steroid trials not happened he could have been as big as Hogan going into the 90s, the kids loved that comic book look he had.
What I have never understood....If Vince wrote him a check all he had to do was cancel it. If he paid him cash. What did Warrior do with it? All the locker room bag stories no would leave half million in cash just laying around.......
It's ironic that a lot of wrestlers who made money because of Hogan's popularity continue to make money off him decades later by talking badly about him....Not so much Sarge, but some of the others. Bobby Heenan correctly diagnosed it once as nothing more than jealousy. They called him the "Brain" for a reason.

Thats why warrior made sure he got paid. He wasn't going to let the business dictate to him. He was his own man! He could think for himself!
@@truvintage5800 he thought himself right out of the company!
@@ZBR_ProXP yeah because he had half a brain
@@truvintage5800 most people have two halves lol. I’m kidding around, I like Warrior, but cmon that was not a great long term business decision.
Another example of Vince not living up to business promises. The conversation had gone on for months. Good on Warrior for knowing how to deal with Vince unlike other guys that worked their asses off for vince only to end up broke.
You believe Warrior's side. The mark of a mark.
He had dirt on Vince
Ironic Hogan wanting Sheik to break Warrior's leg when a few years earlier Gange tried to get Sheik to break Hogan's leg.
….And matsuda did! Hogan came up in the old schools days, he knows what’s up lol.
Makes me wish i still had all my G.I. Joes..
…….Yeah. I saw that on Vice TV, too. Thanks for the random, off-topic recap no one asked for.
@@gilson1982 Any time.
This guy is the best!!
Sounds realistic. This is good stuff.
Where did he hear the warrior was in bad health prior to the hall of fame? I saw video of the warrior not long before that and he still looked in great shape. He was smaller but he still was training everyday
He looked great three days later when he died... steroid abuse works that way.
The autopsy report indicates a known about heart problem.
Let’s not forget..Vince McMahon broke his promises to Warrior before that..and that money was owed to Warrior from Wrestlemania 7
Nope.
Warrior was paid; he simply decided he should have got over half a million more, and suddenly wanted the same cut on merch and the perks as Hogan or he’d no-show SummerSlam.
Unwise.
@@jonharrison9222 We're ever know what actually happened there. But when you consider all parties involved, I could see it going either way.
Sgt Slaughter still looks like he is in his 40s. Great wrestler!
"THE ULTIMATE PUKE!" 😆
Wow, what a shocker.
Another possible match was Actually Hogan vs Greg Valentine ... im serious as a heart attack they had house shows at the long beach sports arena
I remember that Summerslam for the IC title match of Bret Hart vs Mr Perfect.
He really needs to write a book on his life
kudos to him remembering the event and the way it was advertised. thats actually a pretty big thing, ask Scott Steiner lol
Shiek was so much fun. Bubba!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Slaughter is one of greatest of all time.
But Warrior wasn't fired. He was suspended and just didn't accept it.
Sgt Slaughter used to scare me as a kid when I watched him in the 80s
The ultimate slime and the immortal puke!
Sheik break his leg Hogan was Working Vince Too lol
I want to see the sergeant slaughter come back in the WWE video game
What's hilarious yrs later Vince admitted he owed warrior that money lol
SHEIKKIE WANTED BLOOD 😂😂😂😂
Ultimate Warrior was my favourite 😢
I went to summer slam 91 in person
Vince calling you into the shower hits differently in 2024.
I remember loving UW. Really sad learning what an absolute POS he was in real life.
My question is where did he put the money during the match?
It's all bs from McMahon. It wasn't the day of SummerSlam. It happened a couple of months before. Ultimate Warrior provided evidence on his website where McMahon signed and dated the fax of those negotiations.
I love the Sergeant he's a cool down to earth type of guy and a great storyteller 👍
That's how promoters sometimes dealt with unruly wrestlers back in the territory days. Sometimes if a wrestler tried to hold the promoter up at the arena at the last minute, one or two shooters would take the guy in the broom closest or out in the parking lot and straighten him out.
That's why Hogan offered to teach Warrior a lesson.
@@rathraven1313 Hogan was a wimp though, never wanted to take a bump or wrestle anyone that was stiff. He was not about to rough anybody up.
@@rickstalentedtongue910 - Hulk wrestled in Japan for years where it is the hardest style so that lame claim that he avoided stiff wrestlers is nothing more than some sissy fan delusion. Who didn't Hulk wrestle, who did he duck and avoid???
Hogan wanted to go all Verne on Warrior. LOL
Little bit of a misleading headline here. I don’t think Hogan was conspiring anything. He was angry Warrior was holding the company for ransom.
Didn’t slaughter want to confront warrior in the locker room on the one documentary?
Hey what's going on Sarge
I knew it
Love Sarge
SGT SLAUGHTER RIGHT ABOUT ULTIMATE WARRIOR R.I.P ?
It was owed to him. He didnt hold up Vince.
How many meetings did Vince McMahon n Hulk Hogan have like that if a wrestler gets out of line we straight it out
5 grown meatheads in a shower talking about Warrior!
Hogan and warrior couldn't stand each other
Cuz Warrior was a serious threat to Hogan's position.
Plus, he was younger, better built and had a full head of hair 😅
@@NoneofYabiz-rx3zi- Despite all of that, Warrior was never as famous as Hogan.
@@NoneofYabiz-rx3zi That don't work for me, brother
@@gilson1982In an alternate universe had Warrior been disciplined and the steroid trials not happened he could have been as big as Hogan going into the 90s, the kids loved that comic book look he had.
@@gilson1982 Hogan was a backstabber and always sabotaged anyone he saw as a threat.
Vince could make millions from people wrestling, but how dare the wrestlers want to make money from their wrestling.
You have Sid Justice right there at your disposal as ref I don’t understand why Vince didn’t tell Warrior to get bent and use Sid instead.
Because Warrior had been the one who was advertised.
@@gilson1982 Never heard of the term "Card subject to change"?
@@ValiantWrestling - Of course, but Warrior clearly made more money than Sid, so firing Warrior would have been a poor choice.
What I have never understood....If Vince wrote him a check all he had to do was cancel it. If he paid him cash. What did Warrior do with it? All the locker room bag stories no would leave half million in cash just laying around.......
Warrior Is the definition of an Enigma
...of an a$$ hole is more like it
why the capital "E"?
Definition of nut job is more like it.
He’s one of the few people not to do a “ Vince “ voice. But oddly enough he did other people’s voices 😆😆
Hogan could not stand anyone making more money than him
I know he got grief for the iraqi sympathizer angle, but sarge was the ultimate heel for about 2yrs. As a kid, I hated his guts.
It was an amazing angle.
True.
Exactly, it has become very profitable to trash Hogan and the jealous wrestlers continue to pile on. It really is pathetic, none worse than that loser Jim Cornette.
That G.I. Joe Money.
Love sgt sounds like jesse venture
Didnt Warrior do the same thing when he came back?
