For an unchecked, overpowered Russo you need look no further than his entire run in WCW.
Have you ever seen anything from Vince McMahon to indicate that he is a filter that filters out people's bad ideas? I'm not sure why Russo worked in WWF, and to the extent he did maybe it was just a coincidence (right place right time right cast of characters), but I don't think Vince's 'filtering his ideas' is a likely reason. Vince is himself a bad idea machine and often lets others' bad ideas run wild.

Let’s be honest some of the best things I think of us watching this video come from the attitude era when Russo was writing and trying to make a storyline for everyone on tv. The guy got burnt out and whatever happened in WCW was weird

The truth is cornette is bitter that Russo got the book in 97 and wrestling became more popular. In 97 they worked together, russo created the attitude era..while cornette wanted 80s throwback...team russo all day
