I find with the putty it’s cleaner and easier to put on and off and no wastage. Your mainly relying on the rubber under to be honest but I hate the foam washers they give for the top

those barb drain connections one is for dishwasher drain discharge hose and other for..? if stays open, imagine user filling the sink bowl completely with water then let it drain freely 😅..

No they are not, in Europe noone is using them anymore. Here you can take apart anytime you need it and it will still work. Even if you accidently push it , it will work. Glue is not reliable as gasket..@@evergreen4034
Only thing missing from Germany (mainland Europe) is HT pipe with gasket inside wall, its all plug and play, still do not understand how US have to make plumbing more complicated ...
Why shoud I glue it??? Those Rubber Rings hold perfectly well. Installations hold here in the EU ( I'm from Austria) some of them are over 20 or 30 years old and they still work perfectly. Little bit of lube and that's it now f*****g glue needed.

Old europe plumbing was a nightmare, galvanized pipes for supply and combo of lead and cast iron for sewage, brass or nickel plated steel uder the sinks, and almost everywhere you needed a thread you needed to cut your own, and even everything in europe us metric, water supply piping is imperial, including threads wich are NPT, but sewage pipes are metric😂. in last 30 or so years people that never saw plumbing can do it with what is used today, stackable pvc with gaskets for sewage and welded pvc with threaded brass inserts for supply. Tool you need to weld pvc pipes you can buy everywhere for 50ish €, and that's pretty much the only specialty tool you realy need.

ну наверно прилегание не плотное, или прокладка универсальная, и для этой мойки не совсем подходит. вот он и использовал герметик

You can use a rubber seal if you want. Plumbers mait is proven to work though.
