There is a section of the Deluxe CD booklet that states that after Jerry completed conducting the score for the final scene for the movie, when the music concluded, ALL the members of the orchestra stood and applauded Mr. Goldsmith, and Rudy's family, who were in attendance, stood and applauded as well.....everyone was in tears! One of the greatest themes in movie history!

Rudy is good, Hoosiers is also pretty good, like JG's synth drum beat sounding like bouncing a basketball. I always admire how Jerry wrote amazingly simple melodies yet could write incredibly complex multi meter cues like in Total Recall, Air Force one, The Challenge etc.. Dont know of any composer who was that versatile more so than John Williams.
