@@ClaptonDennis That's hollywood, likes you one minute discards you the next. He was robbed of so many awards. But his musical quality didn't decline up until his death that speaks volumes.
@@TB1M1 What’s funny is that John Williams’ music has faded over time. The magic certainly is gone, and he’s lost his touch. Perhaps Goldsmith was the true king after all.
It’s been so long since I’ve seen First Knight, but I promise if you watch the film in surround sound with studio or gaming headphones, Jerry Goldsmiths score really soars and puts you in, especially the final battle and Arthur’s death!
just rewatched it, after a couple of decades... wasn't expecting to get this emotional, but i suppose, with a soundtrack like this, how could i have not?
An absolutely breathtaking experience. My emotions run wild when I listen to this fantastic piece of music! Massive applause to Diego Navarro and the awe inspiring musicians. Simply spectacular!
After his death, Arthur is sailing to Avalon. This Music should have a great Film about Arthur, a pitty. 3 Years later: The Film is allright, Sean Connery is great and the Music is just beyond. Also Richard Gere and Julia Ormond are not that bad, of course an old warm John Gielgud, not to forget Liam Cunnigham as Agravaine! Always loved him in that small role 😊 and was happy to see him again in Centurion and of course the awesome series Game of Thrones. I'm a Gamer and nothing is better to me then listen to Jerry Goldsmith's Music in the Background while playing.
I 💕 this soundtrack to pieces & am thrilled that my favorite figure skater Todd Eldredge skated to it so memorably @ the 1996 World Figure Skating Championships (& won the men’s title)!
I only saw First Knight a few times years ago (didn't hate it but love it either) but strangely I never had an appreciation for the score until I purchased the complete album. Diego Navarro really knows how to great scores justice especially from some of my favorite composers.
this is a beautiful piece but if the choir sang lyrics, even something simple like, "Gloria", or, "Halleluiah" instead of just non valued, "Ah".... I believe it would take this wonderful music from a 10 to a 10+. I'm always a little disappointed when composers use choirs as organs.
This composer did use some Latin lyrics in another track: ruclips.net/video/d0osYcipTKo/видео.htmlsi=9A3SJvAmpKIhJ8VW Also fun fact: This composer won an Oscar for another film that involves extensive use of the choir: ruclips.net/video/nmOHzeTsBUM/видео.htmlsi=aHJ-Q-mNlINTFHD6
The score is just incredible. Like "Lionheart: The Children's Crusade" Goldsmith knows this genre like no other. That V - IV - V is so perfect.
Jerry Goldsmith was simply the best!

October 31 2020 , listening this wonderfull creation by Jerry Goldsmith!!!
Diego Navarro - bester Mann 😘👌
That horn part is beyond epic....
Jerry Goldsmith is my favourite film composer, he really went before his time, had he lived another 10 years he would have composed so much more music
Try 20 years.
wonderfull, the music, the orchestra, Diego Navarro...great homage to composer Jerry Goldsmith, great movie, Firts Knight.Wonderfull, music!!
Cant stop listen just love it.
Jerry's music takes the film to a higher dimension.
Absolutely. This music is holy, Jerry gave us so much, what a man, so much emotions. He earned more then he get, to me a big scandal, sad.
I think he refers to Jerry only getting only one Oscar, for the Omen.

One of my favourite soundtracks!
hearing the horns come in at 3:00 is one of the most beautiful and majestic moments in all of Jerry's music
+Val Lamon absolutely!
Yes, but also the Theme from 1:42 is one of his most beautiful.
Ah! But when the choir comes in!!, Thanks for this video.

I just watched it with Monitor Studio Speakers. The ending scene brought me here.....
Hope this was played at Connery funeral..

This is wonderfoul theme.
The greatest composer of our time. This is one of his better pieces. Love Diego Navarro, he puts a lot of passion in his conducting.
He conducts well, I liked the Alien piece as well he conducted.
3:57 gives me chills.
Legendary composer. His music is clever, and always charged with great emotion (and goes perfectly with the picture of course).
Magnifique, magnifique, un grand merci !!!
Wonderful, epic!!! It makes me travel and I feel myself in the distant Middle Age

I also love his Air Force One music. That is one of my all-time favorite movies. The last couple of minutes is incredible. H. Ford says "You!!!"
+debbie wilson the omen tops his score sheet

Take-off towards Kingdom of Heaven at 4.46!
Jerry Goldsmith's music always soars! So majestic. But the tempo seemed to drag just a wee bit for me.
♥️💓💖😃
Great but the last part of the closing is a bit slower than original. I have the original version.
Anyway it's still GREAT.
