I always thought the look of the Rohan culture closely resembles those of the Vikings. The fact a Danish orchestra is playing the Rohan theme gives me the chills.
I can't watch the films any more, but the music I can listen to forever. It is by far the most powerful component of the movie series, and listening to it allows you to relive the story within your own imagination. Very moving, every time.
I've come to the conclusion over the past few years that the Danish National Symphony is the movie music orchestra par excellence, almost without peer. Oh and let's never ever overlook the jewel in that crown - the beauty, dramatic verve, and incredible talent that is Tuva!
Almost? Who would you say are better? They do plenty of non-movie music including even the pieces people view as classical despite the whole technically a lot of movies have music that fits the classical genre as do many computer games, Still they do the usual stuff too Still as a very real strength is the commitment to the piece that when they play something like Bolero they look much the same as other symphonies - without a doubt they play extremely well but so do many symphonies
#agree Thing is, the DNSO (DR Koncerthuset) takes the material seriously; there's none of the snobbery and condescension of some of Europe's better known and more prestigious symphony orchestras - you know the ones I mean - and none of the laziness of more the commercially driven lesser orchestras. The Danish National Symphony takes the works of Howard Shore, John Williams and others seriously, and it shows. Fine works, performed by a fine orchestra. And while I'm on this, I have a lot of time - a lot of time - for Tuva Semmingsen. And not just because she's "the wa-wa lady."
I’d say the swedish radio orchestra is pretty high in my list also even if there’s no choirs and such (ruclips.net/video/jdVpJfXXoFI/видео.htmlsi=eBDuwwNpju3n01G8)

Both this concert but also the likes Star Wars, Interstellar, etc. is such a big part of me, that when played by DNSO in the great concert hall with all the sounds resonating around me... It's a three dimensional sensation like no other.

Her voice is more than poetry; it is savoring the moment and the present so much that you want to keep it on repeat. Greetings from Poland!
What a beautiful performance, i loved every second of it. Can't wait to be there someday!❤
Hypnotic !!!!! Great performance and great chorus and musicians !!! Congratulations from Spain!!!
The genius of Howard Shore is so clear when the music is presented like this.
Haven't even watch the video yet, gave it a thumbs up. It's Danish National Symphony Orchestra playing music from my favourite movie (s) of all time. Have they messed anything up yet? And Tuva is singing!
Not strong odds you would need to retract a thumbs up there,
When I watch a video like this, with people playing music that moves our souls, I feel hope for humanity. Enough of wars, greed, vanity, frivolity..., why don't we live to the sound of these songs?..., why don't we live in harmony with others and with life?..., why?...
Goosebumps all over. Bravo! The ending with the Hobbits theme made me tear up.
This performance captured the magic, the power and the beauty of the story. Bravo. Thank you
Fantastic to relax to, such a sound from all your gifted musicians and singers. You have become my favorite orchestra.
In a word… Amazing. My new favorite Orchestra does it again. Beautiful.
Finally.... This is an amazing performance... But to hear the coronation music performed live... With the lines from the ROTK, the oath of Elendil as sung by king Elessar Telcontar ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Just magical 😂
My dear Orchestra, this will be a night to remember....
Bravo Tuva!
Not to disregard of course all those talented musicians…Loved the violin girl in elves ears Lol. All blood stirring stuff👍
Bravissima
It's hard to comprehend someone creating such beautiful music with so many instruments. Orchestras arnt appreciated enough like famous pop singers songs
Una de las mejores orquestas del mundo. Absolutamente maravilloso.
it is not strength that overcomes darkness, but light. Armies may rise, hearts may fail, yet still light endures, and is mightier than strength. For in its presence all darkness must flee.
Taxes well spent
I would visit Denmark to see this in concert.
What does that mean? What taxes?
They are partly financed by the government. Indeed taxes well spent.@@martinmayhew145
@@martinmayhew145 The orchestra in this video is a national orchestra that is supported by Danish tax payers
Certainly better than what my country spends our taxes on lol.
As an amateur musician and LOTR fan this is brilliant, thank you to everyone involved
Outstanding. Never stop making these performances
Thank you for this! 💜 I've loved these soundtracks for over 20 years. You can see and hear how much love and appreciation there was towards Tolkien and the music. Return of the King really punched me in the gut, bawled my eyes out.
Love from Finland. 💜
If I ever had the opportunity to play in a LOTR orchestra, I think I would actually just die. Holy hell this was awesome
Que orquestra maravilhosa, musica boa para nossos ouvidos, gosto tambem da Hollywood in Viena. Aqui no Brasil temos a OSESP que é uma orquestra do governo do Estado de São Paulo. Parabens a todos.
Bravo! Forever my favourite soundtrack.
