  • How I learned where my anxiety originated from, and what I did to manage it slowly but surely.
    Remember there is a reason why your brain does what it does, if you can find the origin point of a thought, then you can decide what to do with it.
    Remember the words of Pooh bear : You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think

    Thank you so much, Angel. I love what you said at the end, “when you’re brain is set up to believe everything is attacking you”.. that statement helped me realize why I always feel like I’m anticipating something to occur.. Can you make a video on religious trauma and spiritual warfare? ♥️

      @@AngelDeSantis Thank you, Angel! I mostly want to understand how spiritual entities affect our mind and body, for example how does ones mind and body react when repetitively told spirits are around you since childhood or prophecies you’re supposedly part of.?

    I can so relate to this. This is exactly how my Jehovah’s Witness husband treats me. If I do anything different from the way he would do it, he goes straight to attacking my character, my values and my worth as a wife. He will accuse me of feelings and thoughts I never had, like telling me that I don’t want to cooperate with him or that I am disobedient. I have really bad anxiety.

    • @AngelDeSantis
      @AngelDeSantis  2 года назад +9

      Please read Lundy Bancrofts book "Why Does He Do That?" It details why abusive men do what they do, and why it's so hard to get an abuser to reform. You can find the pdf for free online.
      On a personal note - start putting money away somewhere he doesn't know about, so you have just-in-case money (abuse escalates), and get your personal documents in order. (Getting them replaced can be a pain in the butt.)

    Hi I am so grateful to have found you on RUclips. I was born in the same cult ( the family) after leaving the cult,my mental conditioning led me to a relationship with an extremely controlling and abusive narcissist. I normalized his control and abuse cause it was what I was used to. I have complex ptsd and now that I am free from the cult and him I have started my healing journey. Your videos are amazing they resonate so much with what I have always felt but never been able to put into words. Thanks so much. ❤️

Just watching your intro has me feeling validated and a lot more grounded. I'm gonna watch the rest of your video, and then probably check out the course. All the best.

    Your videos are like a breath of fresh air. It's comforting to know I'm not the only one who struggles with thoughts like these. I have similar religious traumas and many of them came back to life after my last relationship. Your videos help me reaffirm that I did myself a service removing myself from that situation. I'm a single Father, my children are my world!! I know my heart, my intentions, and my depth of intelligence. Thank you for posting videos that help a person regain a rational, self loving perspective. Fear is such a crippling, self defeating, illogical emotion.

    I am stunned. I can't find the words to articulate what I am thinking. I am so sorry that you were brought up that way. Listening to your explanation of how they believe, brought a lot of memories back to me when I was around my very religious extended family. You explained it so well. I knew they were very dysfunctional. I did not know at the time it was because of their religious beliefs. I only figured a lot of things out after they came back into my life 17 years later. You just opened my eyes that they had been brought up that way their whole life. My father who was their uncle, was an atheist. The only one in the family. My Dad had a talk with me when I was very young, and said I'll let you decide. I was never indoctrinated. He did tell me why he was an atheist,
    and left it at that. After hearing you, I am in shock. You just explained a lot of how they came back into my life and made it hell.
    I have watched a lot of videos, this one helped me understand even MORE of how sick I find religion. Thank you so much!!
    I am very happy to hear that you have left that life and choose to be healthy.
    I agree with you, in an earlier video, that whatever religion anyone chooses is right for them. No one should be forced. It should be a choice. (Sorry, this was so long)

      I have connected the dots around 5 years ago, they gaslight me. Your video made me connect that all of them have been "Very religious" all their life. (I didn't know this) Our Grandparents were preacher's and they were all close to them. I wasn't, my Dad kept the grandparents away from me. They were not good people.

    You just about told my story on how anything bad happens it’s the devil, anyone that is in the religious thinking blames the devil for EVERYTHING !!!! How about owning up to what the truth is and that’s life happens good bad in between it’s life. Nothing more !!! I can’t stand religious, or religion I hate it !!! And I know I need to heal from that and I’m trying.
