There's also the factor that, at least in my opinion, those spanish creators are making far better content for their events than english speakers. Grefg had been hyping his skin for a year now and Ibai made a well produced show for new year along with many others. English speakers don't usually do that, they go for consistent easy content like rust, among us or pokemon cards wirhout adding any extra spicy unique content for their channels. The streamer that is the nearest to do such a diverse and entertaining content is Ludwig and by surprise to no one he's also gotten really big.

It just includes cultural jokes like spain's translations, mexican cartels, argentinian douchness (I'm biased ik), chilean non inteligeble accent (an equivalence would be the scottish accent) and general mocking of brazil, everybody here hates brazil. Also between the spanish speaking community, everybody hates Chile or Argentina, and we Chileans and the argentinian have a love/hate relationship, we are like brothers who got separated at birth, then reunited and we both argue who's the adopted child, but we both share a similar culture and if you put an argentinian and a chilean in a bar, it would be like they were old friends even if they dont know eachother, and then you mention football... and the ethnic slurs, past conflicts and a "who's the best" war starts. Also we both argue who's whiter for some reason, since we're more "white" than our neighbours, even though it would be the equivalence of turkey and greece discucing who's more white, sure, greece kinda is the more white one but they're both pretty similar and it's very stupid to compete for such nonsense.

pretty interesting, i really appreciate how you built this video and put this information together, i'm from Chile and i've been trying to build several channels (in twitch and youtube) regarding different topics, the english one had worst performance than the spanish versions, also i found out gaming is extremely saturated too, i'm been struggling about what path to follow and you just helped me to make my mind. I'm a Mechanical Engineer and entrepreneur, i truly believe what most people want and need is a way to build a business instead wasting time to find a job in this messy new world we're living in, the world needs more entrepreneurship and honestly is extremely hard to start a business with success, i know how and i actually like doing it more than playing games
Is not like your video is the best around but sometimes this little push is all someone needs to get clearance, thanks a lot ;)

Yeah for a while I was considering either making Spanish content or English content and saw that Spanish content would be way easier to grow since it's so lacking in comparison to English
The only reason I decided to make English stuff is because I have more online friends which speak English, I still think on doing Spanish stuff on the side tho

Grouping up first generation immigrants, fluent speakers as well as students who take subpar spanish classes wouldn't even amount to 5% of the population. And even then, over half of them wouldn't be able to comprehend most of what is spoken on those streams.

but here's the thing. xQc is fighting an uphill battle in the US/NA against hundreds if not thousands of media sources that a person can consume here. For him to have the numbers he's had, guys choosing to spend their watching him vs alllll the other English speaking streams, yt vids, tik toks, tv shows, netflix, hulu, disney, you get my point. Its impressive. The latino/spanish speaking community is a lot more tight-knit than NA/UK.

I think the only issue is that the Spanish speaking market does not have that much expendable income -- especially most of the viewers being from south america. Sponsors might be quite powerful here. but when it comes to subscribers and donations, they have a lower viewer-to-sub ratio.
