Adam Klase in honesty; pretty close to that. It’s my personality. We (my community) have a phrase coined called hashtag quality content. For bad or good something fun or funny or silly or surprising always happens every stream. Usually not in my favor. Add that in with a sarcastic goof and people find me entertaining. Ya not much a separation from everyone else but that’s what i’ve found. I’m an okay potato in fps games and decent in other games so people don’t come to see the best gameplay.
"Focus on improvement over growth." Needed to hear this, thanks. My channel is slow going, but every time I post it feels like the best one I've made so far, and that's a great feeling!
This is super important advice actually. I started watching people I am not a fan of, and it helped me understand some things to do to grow. Also finding my place was huge, and with watching my older videos and streams. Settling into a role I enjoy and focusing on wargaming (while doing other things with my group as well) has gotten us a steady and growing audience.
I appreciate streams more and more everyday. I recently started and I'm realizing the amount of work and the learning curve it takes to do it. Just for my basic scene set-up, I spent 15 hours researching the best way to do things. I'm constantly editing and making minor changes just to be a tiny bit better. It's crazy and it takes real effort.
"there is a reason that over the las couple of years i am being transparent witout worrying that I am gonna lose my edge, it is because I know that most of You won´t even TRY to compete with me" damn that was so deeply true. that is scary and sad.
It's not sad or scary imo . It's the truth people like to get comfy so they dont try harder or push themselves enough. I'm guilty of that myself but I dont think it's scary since its something you choose. It's scary being delusional ,and realizing you are delusional it's a slap, as a maths teacher once said to me while we were chatting..
I'm a budding streamer on twitch and it's great to have these videos as a foundation to know that my workflow is going down the right track. You're a treasure.
As someone who had been watching way too many of these types of videos, yours stands out because it really focuses on the MINDSET that you have to have and I 100% vibe with it. That entrepreneurial mentality that is healthily competitive with others and yourself, is always accountable for your own improvement and success, learns from those who are at the level you want to be, and is never complacent. I feel like that’s not just a collection of skills used to be successful on twitch, but successful with anything you choose to pursue!
I've been streaming for 3 years consistently now. I've gone from 0-3 (6 months), 10-20 (1-2 years), and am now at 25-50 (2 years+). I've slowly been growing but I definitely know I would do well with an audience. Thank you for the input 🙏

It's a tough biz to make it in, still fighting my way through.
"stop focusing on growth" is the best lesson! I used to get really stressed seeing other streamers grow fast around me, but that made my streams quality go down. Because my stream were stressed... Now I play what I want, how I want and have so much more fun. And slowly growing 🥳
Harris always makes such grounding videos. I always appreciate hearing his perspective. If you’re a new content creator like me reading this good luck gamer. You got this.
I've sadly always had trouble with a schedule. I work full time, go to school part time, and have lots of personal commitments; so time is tight and I can't always be on when I say I will be. Instead of a schedule I keep days open and have started being more active on social media to keep in contact and announce when I'll be on that day. This actually has helped a lot. Two months of doing that and I've built a small but close knit community and reached affiliate.
Your videos have helped me so much with my new twitch channel cuz I’ve always loved watching other streamers and always wished I could do things like that as well. And after watching you videos, it’s really helped me learn what to expect, what to improve on, and SO MUCH MORE so thank you for that!😊💜

Now I'm working 13 hour graveyard shifts at a homeless shelter, and considering another full time job. I'm doing that for two reasons, to get a place for me and my family #1 of course. However I'm also working so hard, so I can get back to doing what I love, streaming and making videos... The advice you give, really helps with perspective and motivation. bro you are a king for the music. I listen to it on stream everyday and I have been using them in my youtube videos. Feels good to not have to worry about it.
Well a tiny bit I disagree on: Sometimes you dislike Creators because they do absolute shit to reach attention, you can't learn how to improve on them. probably the only RUclipsrs I don't like are scammers, people who lie to their community, people who just follow trends, who steal content, who only do it for the money. And it works, these creators always achieve success compared to creators who do it for passion. I only learn one thing from them, what not to do if I want to be a good person. Even if it would mean attention and money.
Yo, you got this?

@@adamklase8547 i do that aswell with rly limited people right now, before when i tried things like you wrote down ,ppl just ignored and were leaving , because Warcraft 3 is totaly different streaming community... all the players are old school, tryhard and pretty much toxic. All they care about is gameplay over and over and over again and you must be really good , cus you compete with ppl that didnt stop playing the game for 16 years in a row. Im currently trying again but my motivation is rly low. I got from full paying streaming carreer into the abyss. videos that im posting on youtube - just check them if you can and tell me what am i doing wrong, i mean for real i cant figure out a way outta this. Does Harris take like some request for donos to check ppls channels and stuff?
DandaElPanda i’ll look in too. Input always helps
Great guy, thx for all your help. Thx to you I could get from 0 to 1000 Subs on YT in under a year. Thx Harris and greetings from Germany! 💪💪💪
How is that scary
Grats! I applaud ANY progress, even if it's a millimeter closer to your goal than you were before.
@@25Deception appreciate that man, a slow incline up is better than nothing. Sometimes feels like going nowhere but stats never lie and every day you learn and get better so that helps too
When you say constantly; do you mean as often as you can you’re live?
@@dougf1249 *consistently*
I've been streaming on a strict schedule consistently for 3 years. I haven't stopped or slowed down. I was streaming about 12-15 hours a week but I recently quit my job to stream full time and now stream 5 days a week almost 50 hours a week. It's a tough biz to make it in, still fighting my way through.
AlphaTube ahh thank you for the quick reply.
Are you doing any other content?
Best tips I’ve heard, been focused on getting better with each video but have to look more within and get laser focused
Your videos have helped me so much with my new twitch channel cuz I’ve always loved watching other streamers and always wished I could do things like that as well. And after watching you videos, it’s really helped me learn what to expect, what to improve on, and SO MUCH MORE so thank you for that!😊💜
Speaking of cutting corners; that shirt is unbelievably wrinkled.
Cannot un-see.
I think he want to see, who can point that out.
We can see he's genuine and real at least! LOL good to see you here.
Ain't no one got time to iron shirts or wear same two socks! 😅
sell shirts that are graphiced too look wrinkled. sell so many
i actually got to watch this video 50 seconds after it was out...WOW
I’ve been struggling and this was the kick in the ass I needed. Going to keep trucking, be reflective, and continue. Thank you
Im thinking of picking up streaming and ive watched over 2 hours of your videos today. I went from knowing anything to feeling comfortable enough to start streaming soon, I cant thank you enough for your dedication and effort in the videos you make
Imma be honest with you, might be dangerous here at RUclips land... But I am a content Creator and I love it however, I'm homeless atm and needed to step away from it.
You're like a coach, always reminding me. "I can do it... but it won't be easy. Work hard, and improve."
Genuinely... Thank you.
Game scents idea, have a scent called tryhard and have it smell like sweat
Could also make one fluo orange colour and smells like cheetos lmao
Gross
You've successfully managed to make my mind vomit with this thought. Thanks...
Harris is like the only guy I'd be happy to share a non alcoholic beer with.
ive been binge watching ur streaming videos since 2 weeks. im a new streamer and i wanted to let you know that listening to your advices has made a huge impact on how i see myself as a streamer and mostly, not feeling completely lost and overwhelmed since i know nothing at all about being a streamer. i've grown so much and i love the community we've developped. so, thank you for being there with a helping hand
As a new Twitch streamer, I think this is exactly what I needed to hear! Thank you so much for the informative links and help! :D
need a metal version of streambeats :(
2nd this 🏆
I was suggesting rock. Heavier rock.
Maybe we get somethin soon
AGREED.
OOH WAHAHAH
I brought this up in his discord channel a couple weeks ago and someone said that he was working on it. idk if that person is a credible source or not but hopefully that's true.
Anyone else reckon Harris looks like Homelander? 😳
Got milk?
Ben Nunan only in the way that they’re both white dudes with dyed blond hair and slightly receded hairlines on the temples. It is literally just the hair colour, imagine if either had black hair would they look at all similar? Nah.
fr
Homelander got creepy smile
"ah fuck, i can't believe you've done this"
Harris isn’t the Hero we deserve but the Hero we needed! I started content creation 6 months ago and you have helped more than you know. I have been focussing a lot of TikTok and got 42k followers in that time and recommend it to help you grow your content creation career!
It's really nice to see how you approach this stuff. There is an honesty and humbleness that can only come from kindness and experience. Thank you for that. In this place full of trolls and opportunists it is a treasure to find sincerity.
Thank you so much for making this video! I am inconsistent with uploading videos and don’t have a set schedule. I think that is one of my worst problems amongst A LOT OF OTHER MISTAKES.❤️
Don't worry guys we will all grow together for the bois
“From that [music failure] I’ve learned some INSTRUMENTAL things...”
Haha. Instrumental.
when I watch your videos I feel like I'm listening to a preacher the way you speak is so powerful and smooth you've never lacked getting the point across. keep it up. thanks for all the help
Harris, I watched these videos when I began my Twitch career in 2020. I just watched this video again, I can see your advice definitely stuck and became a foundation that I built on. I was partnered in 2021- thanks for being there from the beginning with sage advice!
Love your authenticity! I feel like that's the "secret"! And a desire to learn new things 💜
Wonder how many careers you've started.

"I know most of you won't even try to compete with me"
Is that a challenge?
I love how straight up he is like he isn’t spreading any BS he’s honest and it’s for sure helped me with streaming
Your last point hammered it hard. I always teach everything I know at my work, and when I'm asked why, I reply that most people won't put the effort nor are they similar to me. A person uniqueness and effort are their greatest asset.
Thanks man this really helped! all other videos keep repeating the same thing now i notice i have to work hard, put in the effort, don't get to comfortable, and be intresting and push the limits!
If "sweaty" isn't a candle scent choice, I will be thoroughly disappointed.
If you can make the candles smell like Mountain Dew and Doritos then I’m in.
I freaking knew someone would say this. NOOOOOOOOOOO ! lol
Zesty Archer yes brother! YES!
I'm an italian Content Creator, and I Try to make content in my native Language and trust me is so hard to find a big userbase in the italiano videogames community, I'm Streaming since May and doing Vids on RUclips for one Year and i Still have just 330 Subscriber, but still, watching my first video, and then my last ones I feel so accomplished, so growth both as a content creator both as a Person and I'll continue to create content ultil I Won't be satisfied, THX for every advise. Sorry for my bad English!
This is a video that a lot of small streamers including myself can watch and reflect on. I also think a majority of time the working hard is due to outside life like work, school, etc. But being able to hold down and get a strong fan base is key to success, even if that fan base is a couple of people!
“I know that most of you won’t even try to compete with me” that just fueled me to the point I can’t even sleep I just wanna work💯
Lollll xqc and pokimane... he knew what we were thinking. But can’t even disrespect them cuz the grind is real
xqc I am fine with but pokimane not so much not because of her content but some of drama and stuff shes done like false taking down bowblax video and trying to remove itsagundam sponsers which worked and he lost a lot of money from it and sending her fanbase to dislike his videos
@@Botblox762 Really wack thing she did
Iv been streaming for a couple of days now, a guy donated to me 2$ and i felt really accomplished. Thats literally the highlight of my streams and im now getting 0 views.
My father: "Those people that give advice on this stuff don't tell you everything because they want to keep the real secrets to themselves." Harris: 8:47
@@crookdletterj3651 I mean not really, lets take competitive game play as an example, i was on the #1 ranked team in TFC, and a pro level player in CS 1.6 back in the day. Ive coached a few teams in ESEA, bla bla...basically i know my shit, and im really good at games. Ive never held back in teaching people because....99.999% of them will never be able to touch me because they will NOT put in the work. Look at Jordan, best player ever...worked his ass off, said he did, talked about this same kind of thing. and on and on and on....SO many greats i could name that their #1 piece of advice is...work hard at it, and their #2 would most likely be to look at yourself first when a problem happens. Just those 2 pieces of advice have been given over and over and over by so many super successful people...yet those are the two hardest things for most to do, so they dismiss it and try and make up some other reason that person has success that they dont, like what you just did.
I've been on both RUclips and Twitch for almost a year now, but barely started considering it a possible career path. Some issues with my current employment, have made me really look inward as to what do I want to do with the rest of my life. So for the past few months I've started taking it all seriously. I have a long way to go, but these videos have been super helpful, as both a guide and source of inspiration. I just wanted to say thank you for all the effort you've put into them. Congrats on all the big moves lately as well.
Been slowly building my stream - making sure audio/video is quality, gettings my overlays looking fresh, getting spicy emotes (very important :P), etc. Your videos have helped me a lot. I really appreciate the time you put into this content.
mark my words i’ll come back in a year and see how fate i’ve come
Idk if you post alot on twitch, but if not start the grind again. Make some content
You've got this bro
I'm horrible with coming up with names honestly. That's a flaw of mine.
I'd say keep thinking about it while you are doing stuff and talking to people. Often inspiration can come from something completely unrelated.
Harris is like a cheese cake its yummy and you always want more🔥
lmao
Hahahaha --- so true.
Mev Bushwacker yeah she want that yummy yummy yummy yummy yummy yummy x
I been streaming half a year and still always looking to make my channel better. Lets just say I spent hours watching all ur videos for tips. You have helped me so much from camera, lighting, and video editing. Life saver and time saver
You have no idea how much your videos have helped me grow, even the little I have. New to streaming, working on some stuff, but man, you have great info

Me already having watched the video: "You fool..."
Harris: "Are you willing to learn more than anybody else? Are you willing to do more than anybody else?"
Me: Yes thank you sm dad ❤
When he says that when we put in extra hours, work harder, do something new, for no reward...there is a reward, being proud of yourself for doing slighty better than before, I feel like that is what keeps you pushing even more.
Damn. "You won't even try to compete" that was the f u I needed to keep me going.
Awesome video! Not sure if I should reflect and only focus on self improvement, or say, "Bring it, challenge accepted!" lol Thanks!
its so funny that my friend has been streaming for 3 weeks, has been raided over 25 Times with humdreds of viewers and now has 1.8thousand follows xd
now she has 19k
Hey Harris, ive been posting on this channel for nearly five months. I've started off strong, using thumbnails, good editing softwares (adobe softwares), editing my videos really well, uploading every weekend and i'm only 13. In five months i've got 44 subs. Now they are just starting to dramatically slow down. (i also stream on twitch). I know that at 2:43 you said about THAT, but i think this is different. I'm not saying that you're doing this wrong, but could you help me understand what I'M doing wrong? Thanks

I have watched this video twice - With some time in between, and have found it encouraging from a guy who just started. Great video. Hands down I hear you, even with just beginning this journey. Thank you for your words.
I hate to pause the video and comment but this is the absolute truth! Honesty is key to understanding what you don't know or what you don't have yet. Good job AlphaGaming on this strong advice for people like me who want to be streaming or on RUclips.
Dude! GREAT ADVICE, and THANK you for the music. There are some gems in here.
I just subscribed and was browsing back through your archives and I am *so* glad I'd sat my coffee down before the ONE PUUUNCH dropped.
This is probably the best how to grow that makes it about me the streamer instead of other factors, I appreciate this a ton.
Dude, I really enjoy watching your videos. In a sense they are the stuff people don’t wanna hear but it’s the truth. I think one of my problem is worrying about growth too much. Keep up the good work!
bro you are a king for the music.
