Being a musician, when you play music with a family member its so much more than "who is better".
When I play guitar with my dad, and when we sing together, its wonderful because we know each others' repertoire, we know each others' harmonies and guitar playing style. We've been playing music together for 6 years, and it doesn't matter that he makes a tele cry when he does a blues solo and that i can't, or that my voice is 'prettier' where his is more like Dylan....
It's so much more than that.
Yes to sing and play with someone that you love brings other dimensions to it.

This is the earliest video I have seen of these girls. Their English is flawless right down to their accents. Needless to say, they have come along way since.
There's one older video worth watching. Look for their cover of Tiger Mountain Peasant Song by Fleet Foxes. From August 2008. They were 14 and 16. They just went out into the forest with an acoustic and did a brilliant recording. It's what got them noticed.
It's crazy how much their voices have matured in 3 years.

@romeois21 It may be simple, but it's performed rly well. There are a lot of musicians who suck at playing simple songs. These girls really know to make something good with simple chords. I think a part of this kind of music is the simplicity.
yeah because once particular chord/s are used in music they can never be re-used by another...must be a heck of a lot of chords in existence to keep the worlds music stocked

With the way the music industry is and the stagnant garbage they pump out, its easy to instantly get addicted this. These ladies' voices are perfect together and are a reminder to everyone that listens to the radio crap that this is what music is suppose to be. Music is suppose to make you feel something inside and move you. Cant wait to here this new album in its entirety. I wish theyd play closer to Ohio so i can see them without driving 5 hours to chicago.

The songs Half the world away,the theme tune for The Royal Family,a comedy show in Britain.The chords sound the same,like this song though and the band.Beatles drew on everything from Celtic music to music hall,not to mention the blues.Before they went all hippy and trippy with the drugs.

You're right, it's really not that big of a deal. Heck, a good chunk of the Beatles' work wasn't theirs at all. They did a LOT of covers. It's hard to be original. I was just really referring to the "Good knocked off chords from a Oasis song" comment. It seemed like you did think it was a big deal, but that's the problem with the written word. You can't always tell a person's tone.

Its still knocked off chords from Oasis,why are people so up set about it?Its only music its not the end off the world.Think is was John Lennon Oasis ripped off and Mark Bolan from T Rex in a few songs.Most songs were original it had to be,as they were around for quite a long time.
