They came out with "silver lining" and "fireworks" both really good albums/singles
They needed a break.
Artists who tour a lot sometimes need a longer break.
They're back in earnest again in the summer of 2021 if corona virus allows it.
Cannot progress on this first album.
Love these lasses they are great singers and songwriters and harmonise beautifully. Their Stay Gold album is a masterpiece I love every track. ❤❤

I love them. I saw them in concert and they are just amazing. Their songwriting skills give me goosebumps.
So underrated! They are one of my all time favorites in the last 10 years!
I truly wish I wouldn't have somehow missed this when it first came out, but man... I haven't had a band impact me the way these two do in a long time. They are absurdly good performers and probably the most talented songwriters I've heard in a very, very long time.

Spine-tinglingly good! You cant help but be enthralled at their singing and song writing. Watching them sing and the smiles and looks they share they are obviously completely in love with singing with each other

They are seasoned accomplished musicians and barely in their mid 20s. I've loved them since the beginning.

I just love these Tiny Desk concerts! They really show all these musician's up close. These beautiful sisters are amazing! How in the world did I just find them? Its like finding treasure. Im sooo getting all of their cd's now.

When I watch any NPR video, I usually watch another NPR video, but when I watch this NPR video, I have to keep listening First aid kit, their voices right to the emotions, without going through the mind
I can't believe this doesn't have more views, these girls are spectacular.
This is what Tiny Desk should be about... totally vulnerable. Not bringing in shitloads of other musicians to back you up or a posse of fans to scream and hype you up, if you can't perform like this.... you're probably missing something

Just got into these young ladies after listening to the TV advert, (thinking it was Laura Marling singing) ! Beautiful harmonies and great songs, like a modern Joni Mitchell x 2. Along with Courtney Marie Andrews, my new favourite females.
First Aid Kit also nods to the band Momma's and the papa's. Notice that Klara is always the one starting and announcing the song, she's like the lead singer of the duo.
Johanna is gorgeous but Klara is cute too. She also has a wonderful soulful voice.
Until the new album (Stay Gold) "The lion's roar" was my fav Track by FAK. It is now the brilliant "a long time ago" Klara sings it so beautifully
Wow, I haven't listened to these two since I saw their Fleet Fox cover a few years ago. Wow...they have gotten a lot better and if you saw that cover then you know that is hard to say

Loving the raw vocals here.
And you can hear the harmonies better here compared to on the albums where the brunette is even more overpowering. 2 great singers!

I looked it up, they first started uploading music to MySpace in 2007 and got noticed more in 2008, the younger one Klara was born in 93, so that would make her about 14 or 15 at the time. Crazy. If this was uploaded in 2012, she'd be 19 though.
