This mini series was absolutely the best synth tutorial I've ever had (and I went to school for this stuff)!! Thank you for taking the time to show us how the ES2 works, man! I really appreciate it!
Fantastic. Watched all 4 parts. Had no idea what any of it did in the beginning. Now I understand what every one of the 10,000 buttons/sliders do. Thank you!
Absolutely astounding tutorial. Went into the perfect amount of detail, your demonstrations are to the point and clearly show the effects being implemented and your language is concise and technically correct whilst remaining easy to follow. You really have a talent in this, will be routing through your other videos. Thanks a million.
Phew.. It was such a pleasure going through those 4 parts. It was like completing a course module back in college, except that I did not lose you even for a second :)
This was a great tutorial mate! thanks a bunch, just goes to show that there is really unlimited options within the just the ES2, now back to creating some awesome sounds. Keep it up! greetz from Amsterdam
14:30, @MusicTechHelpGuy, Josh, I’m afraid, the Envelope Curve parameter in the Vector tab isn’t exactly what you said here. It always goes in a strait line from 1 to 2, but the acceleration of this transition (easing) from one point to the next is different. step&hold - immediate transition at first point; convex9 - hardest deceleration; linear - no acceleration; concave9 - hardest acceleration; hold&step - immediate transition at last point.

thx for tuto in this powerful instrument. Excellent tuto +1
at around 20:00 you say the vector wheel is poly only and that they wont be synchronized unless you can play them at the same time. I was wondering.... couldn't you just quantize and have them be synchd?
Jake Richey Yep. But it's still Polyphonic, so if you're trying to play notes off the grid, with a slight arpeggiation for example, the motion will not be in sync.
Hello Music Tech help guy My midi CC’s aren’t responding on my midi keyboard. Luckily My pitch bender and my modwheel are working. I don’t know why it’s not working. Do you have any advice for me to solve this problem? Has anyone else had this problem aswell? Is there someone here on RUclips that can help me?
So I'm assuming you're assigning your CC's with the Shift Option K shortcut to get to the controller assignments? If you're having problems with knobs not being responsive, even after assigning -- check the "Value" on the right side of the controller assignments. Logic has a weird "bug" where sometimes it doesn't assign the full range of the CC. If you set the "Min/Max" Value of the CC to 0 to 127, this should fix the problem. It's a very common bug, and I'm not entirely sure if it's a Logic bug, or certain MIDI controllers have an issue with it.
@@MusicTechHelpGuy thank you very much. I found out how it works to assign midi cc’s. You have great videos . I’ve learned so much last year from your videos. Thank you!
Watched all four and I really understand how synths work. You have a gift for reducing complex material.
