That was a very fun video to watch Joan-Marie. You packed in a lot. Loved everything. I did a couple soaps once. So fun. What happened to the butterfly bookmark? Lol. 😂 thank you as always for sharing what you love to do with others ❤❤❤
Hi Joan-Marie I’ve just discovered your channel and excited about doing some of these! I have a painted tray and some beautiful stickers that I’d like to use on it - can I decoupage stickers in the some way as napkins? 😊🇳🇿
Hi! Stickers can’t be used like napkins because they are thicker and won’t blend like a napkin. Honestly it will look like stickers on a tray. Save the stickers for something else and learn decoupage. Practice on some scrap wood. - Joan
Hi Ms. Joan Marie! Hopefully you see this comment and can respond? Where did you get your flat (filbert) brushes? The blue-ish/ teal ones? I am newly obsessed with your channel and you truly are for beginners, to moderate to expert (I am a moderate beginner lol!) I love how you don't dumb things down! I'll be trying EACH of your methods in this video for my DIY Christmas gifties 😊 Thanks for being an awesome teacher ❤️ So important! You get my creative spark... sparking lol!! 😅
Oh thank you so much, I try! I do my videos the way I like to watch other videos! I love those angle brushes and I will get you the info. I try to respond to all comments thank you for watching! Flat brush: amzn.to/3nNTnTK
@JoanMarieDomino Thanks so much! I've already liked so many new items on amazon you recommend and will buy through your link ☺️ I'm always looking at the artist in question's paint brush too! Have you ever taught? (anything), because- like I said; you're wonderful at explaining things 🥰
@JoanMarieDomino of course you have! I just wish you were my high school math teacher! I'm still so terrible with math ... might have helped if YOU taught my math back in 2nd grade. Now, I HAVE to use this stupid 'touch point' system. It's worse than using your fingers to count!! 🤦🏻♀️ Have a great holiday 🎄❄️
Are you or Are you a teacher the way you do these videos is very much like a teacher step-by-step never assuming people know anything and never ever condescending I am a retired teacher I so appreciate you and your videos thank you
Thank you! I have been teaching crafts for many years. To answer I have never taught school. Thank you for choosing to be a teacher, I strongly admire your profession ❤️
I’m making magnets for stocking stuffers. Thank you for making this video! ❤ How many coats of decoupage should I put on top of the napkin please? I bought my napkins from Vippies too.
Great idea for stocking stuffer! You can put 2 coats of Mod Podge on top or a couple coats of sealant. Thank you for getting your napkins from Vippies and thank you for watching! - Joan ❤️
How long after the last coat of Mod Podge on the soap did you use it? I saw that you used regular Mod Podge as another project tutorial used the dishwasher Mod Podge. Do you think it would make a difference? I actually was making these today and bought dishwasher Mod Podge and I have a lot of regular so I wish I had known it would work. I love your videos. Thanks!
Hi Angela! I used regular Mod Podge for the soap. You don’t need the dishwasher safe but I think you can still use it. I waited a few days before I used them. I always feel the longer you can wait the better. Have fun!! Joan 🙂
Thank-you. I planned to make them and give them to the grandchildren at Thanksgiving with their names and christmas picture on the soaps. My husband bought me a laser color printer so I can print some images and not have to seal them like an inkjet printer. Just at a week should be a good amount of time. Thanks so much! @@JoanMarieDomino
Hi Joan, this is an another awesome video. I love watching and learning from you. I’m still learning. I love the iron on method. But find when I mod podge to seal, I get bubbles. Even though when I ironed I had no bubbles. Any advise? I love the magnets, how fun.
I got bubbles on the wood slice ornaments when I added the glitter paint and when I put the varnish on. How can I prevent or fix this? I got all my beautiful napkins from Vippies! Thank you.
Love the soap

From Amazon. Thank you for watching! - Joan 🙂
Really love all of your projects, thank you for the inspiration!
I use a layer of mod podge around the wood on the side. It keeps it from shedding and they last alot longer.😊
Thank you for sharing “my tips” in comments! Sometimes viewers skip important steps like this one! 😊 Joan

Could you use old placemats for this?
Hi! These projects were designed for napkins. You can always experiment with fabric - Joan
Hi Joan, this is an another awesome video. I love watching and learning from you. I’m still learning. I love the iron on method. But find when I mod podge to seal, I get bubbles. Even though when I ironed I had no bubbles. Any advise?
I love the magnets, how fun.
Don’t use Mod Podge on top instead use a clear spray sealant like Rustoleum. Very light mistings to cover and allow drying time between mistings.
@@JoanMarieDomino thank you! I appreciate you getting back to me so quickly.
How do you prevent the napkins from bubbling when you apply either the glitter paint or the varnish?
I make I let everything is completely dry- Joan
do you sell these or give as gifts only? Wondering how much you could sell them for
I put them in my home, give as gifts, donate, etc I normally don’t sell - Joan
I got bubbles on the wood slice ornaments when I added the glitter paint and when I put the varnish on. How can I prevent or fix this? I got all my beautiful napkins from Vippies! Thank you.
Wait for each layer to dry and only use very thin layers. - Joan
Where can find these mini calendar

Can you use paper instead of Nampo in?
Idk I never tried Paper, might be too thick
@@JoanMarieDomino thanks for answering me.
