Nice video, not a lot of idle chit chat. Got right to it. Had things staged to keep the progress going. I appreciate that because time is not always ours and there are many things going on in life. 5 stars
I decided to one do one coat of mod podge and only a second coat onto the napkin as I can't seem to get the mod podge to dry completely if I do 2 coats
Thank you...I went back and watched this video for beginners...so I could go from the start...you made some BEAUTIFUL PLATES..I want to make all different kind of plates to go in a antique plate holder that was my moms...it holds 3 plates...I think it would be so pretty to change out for all the holidays and some in between...I am so thankful to you for sharing your videos...so I can hang something up of my mom's and be so proud...
Thank you so much for your kind words! Since you are just learning to decoupage I recommend you watch this video first, it gives some basic techniques that will help begin your decoupage journey ruclips.net/video/uTntRmbkuZk/видео.htmlsi=yzlv1jVf1r1HcYUf I made this video to help beginners with basic techniques to avoid frustrations - Joan
I enjoying watching your videos Your do a wonderful job explaining your crafting projects. So easy to follow! Thank you...learned so much from your Decopodge vidios.
This is one of the best beginner decoupage videos I've watched. Super job! I will be watching again and again.! I can't wait to get to the dollar store haha Oh this is Patti (I'm just on my husbands account haha)
@@JoanMarieDominoif I use the dishwasher mod podge over my glitter layer, how long do I let the pain dry before I spray the sealer on, please? It’s a 25day cure so do I wait that long before I seal it with the spray krylon stuff?
@@JoanMarieDominoI’m sorry, last question. I don’t have red chalk paint, but I have acrylic. Can I use that around the rim or will it not work? Thank you for all of your help this year!
If you are putting a sealant on top of the dishwasher safe then just a few days. If you are planning on putting these in your dishwasher then do exactly as label instructs. As far as red paint, chalk paint is best because it is matte but you can try the red acrylic. - Joan
I'm a Newbie. I like how you explained everything step by step. I also enjoyed seeing other examples of decoupage. Thanks for this video. I can't wait to try to decoupage very soon.
New to your channel not new to decoupage.. but you give the best instructions for anyone doing decoupage that I have ever watched. You’re very precise and not a lot of unnecessary chatter, which I really like. In other words “YOU’RE A REAL PLEASURE TO WATCH”. Thanks Oh! And I like your work and ideas.
I was recently looking at various crafts to do and never thought about mod podge. So, off to RUclips I went. I found your channel and watch some of the videos. They're fantastic. I can become quickly overwhelmed or lost when trying to learn new things online. You explained it very well, simple and with great details. I can't wait to try my first project. Creating my shopping list now.
Hi Jennifer! I’m glad my videos were helpful and inspiring! Watch the ultimate beginners video before you buy a ton of stuff. You can see for the basics you only need a few things...then go crazy! Here’s the basics ruclips.net/video/uTntRmbkuZk/видео.html 😅😂🤣 - Joan
I've never done this before, it always looked so had. However you made it look so easy! I have three plates to do with Victorian looking napkins. Thank you so much.😉
Thank you so much! Exactly what I ward to try! I will get glass plates. Fantastic idea to put the napkin on the back of the plate. Awesome gift for friends
Great video- thanks! I love decoupage and I always like to learn new things. I learned from you: 1) Glitter Mod Podge? OMG! and 2) using Mod Podge fingers to separate napkin layers- great!
Thank you for such a detailed explanation on how to decoupage. I have watched others but everything I did was ugly. I believe my effort on my next project will work out and look great.🙂
@@JoanMarieDomino hi right back new to your channel , just found you thank you for showing your video I'm going to try to do. I'm also new to this computer thing, and my son helps me a lot and he said that I should ask when I want to try making anything, so with said I'm asking?
Thank you so much for this video. I’m just getting started on decoupage and this video has helped me know just what to do. Can’t wait to see your other videos!
I love this! I would love to see more ways to do these. When we handwash these, can the back get a little wet? Just don't dunk it? I would love to find glass platters too. Do you think if we find a white plastic platter that would work? Can the plates have a colored background? Kinda like a red charger plate?
Hi Michele! I put care in the video as that is important. This is CLEAR glass plate and I used the reverse method. Any color behind the sheer napkin will show thru so you may want to do a bit of experimenting. Have fun! Joan

Your plate turned out so pretty. I'm loving reverse decoupage.
