Hello Crafters!
Did you run to the store and purchase a couple jars of Mod Podge and when you returned home thought, “now what?” !
This video is for you....the ultimate decoupage beginner!
I will take you step by step to show you how to do a reverse “under the glass” decoupage on a glass cookie plate. You will also learn: basic decoupage techniques, basic supplies and useful decoupage tips while creating a fabulous plate!
I will be using an ordinary clear glass plate that was purchased from the Dollar Tree. These make GREAT GIFTS!
Once you learn the basics you can move onto decoupaging other items.

Thank you...I went back and watched this video for beginners...so I could go from the start...you made some BEAUTIFUL PLATES..I want to make all different kind of plates to go in a antique plate holder that was my moms...it holds 3 plates...I think it would be so pretty to change out for all the holidays and some in between...I am so thankful to you for sharing your videos...so I can hang something up of my mom's and be so proud...

I decided to one do one coat of mod podge and only a second coat onto the napkin as I can't seem to get the mod podge to dry completely if I do 2 coats

I was recently looking at various crafts to do and never thought about mod podge. So, off to RUclips I went. I found your channel and watch some of the videos. They're fantastic. @@JoanMarieDominoif I use the dishwasher mod podge over my glitter layer, how long do I let the pain dry before I spray the sealer on, please? It’s a 25day cure so do I wait that long before I seal it with the spray krylon stuff?
@@JoanMarieDominoI’m sorry, last question. I don’t have red chalk paint, but I have acrylic. Can I use that around the rim or will it not work? Thank you for all of your help this year!
If you are putting a sealant on top of the dishwasher safe then just a few days. If you are planning on putting these in your dishwasher then do exactly as label instructs. As far as red paint, chalk paint is best because it is matte but you can try the red acrylic. - Joan
