    Will you make some for yourself, gifts or both?

      Both. Great to coordinate with the holiday, loaded with cookies, cake, banana bread, etc.

    Thanks for the great tutorial! You go into more detail than I've seen in some videos. BTW, labels come off easy if you heat them with a blow dryer and slowly lift them away. Just be careful not to burn yourself.😎

      I learned that lesson when I did that to remove a label from a metal container - that heated up quickly! 😱

      They’d be great “giving plates” for Christmas with a holiday fabric 👍🏻

      Do you use fabric, paint, paper, other or all of the above? I think it could be a great keepsake for children's art.

      I've used mostly fabric but have done some with napkins. I separated the layers and just used the one with the design.

    Thank you! I’m planning to do this to a tempered glass backsplash that will go behind my stove. Hopefully it will hold up to a little heat!

    Can you use extra quilt blocks on back of the plates?

    • @ArtistTaraReed
      @ArtistTaraReed  9 месяцев назад +1

      Good question… if you are using them for decoration I’d say yes but I don’t think all the seams would hold up well if you want to wash them. Let me know if you try it - now I’m curious!

    Can you use any kinda gule

    • @ArtistTaraReed
      @ArtistTaraReed  4 месяца назад

      Good question and I’m not sure. I know you can use regular Mod Podge but have to gently hand clean it, not sure about other glue. Let me know if you try!

    How long would you have to wait if you just want to hand wash the plate?

    • @ArtistTaraReed
      @ArtistTaraReed  Месяц назад

      Honestly I'm not sure - I only know what the directions say. Personally I'd try wiping the front if I wanted to use them before the month goes by but no guarantees 🤷🏻‍♀

    Can these be washed? And if so, how?

    • @ArtistTaraReed
      @ArtistTaraReed  Месяц назад

      Yes, once you let the glue cure (assuming you use the dishwasher safe version) Plaid, the manufacturer, says to let your plate cure for 28 FULL DAYS before washing. After that you can put it on the top-shelf of your dishwasher or hand wash. The Mod Podge® will absorb a little water and create a milky look but don't freak out. Handle gently and when it is fully dry it will go back to how it looked before washing.
