    Currently in chemo. Just finished that Red Devil; about to start taxol for 12 weeks. These are excellent tips and well presented. Thank you!

      Can somebody tell me what the red devil is? They put me on Taxol and Hepacin, round 7of 12. Didn't really slow me down. I sure was waiting for the face plant of exhaustion, but nothing, really.
      They give me a steroid pill half hour before the Taxol stuff. The IV goes in, they wrap me up good, because the next thing I do is get up, roll my IV setup on over to the fridge for snacks. I bring cheese sticks and chocolate pudding, yum!

      @@wandah9468 My brother in law did treatments were he was infused for five days and nights plus a lumbar shot. It wrecked him in the end but he recovered. I'm doing 3 bags at the office and then a 48 hour pump for home.I'm only doiing my second round Monday .but other than 48 hours of nausea and some vomitting I feel great .Hope you do great too.

    Instead of freezing hands and feet the NICE1 device for compression and optional cooling of 50 degrees F can be rented. I could not use this with lymphoma since lymphoma can effect the skin and we wanted chemo to get to the extremities. The frozen mittens sound like painful frostbite to me and a hassle. I would have gone with two NICE1 Devices rented and used for up to 30 minutes per extremity or less.

    Did you use cold cap for chemo? Any recommendations?

    • @cancerwithcancer3847
      @cancerwithcancer3847  5 месяцев назад

      Unfortunately, with the Red Devil chemo the cold cap wasn't an option. The hair loss is inevitable with that chemo. There were people at my treatment center who used them and I observed that they had to wet their hair beforehand so I would say be prepared for that and don't bother with a fancy hairdo 🙂

      Me too. I already had a pretty good diet before getting C I've just upped the protein and try to eat a bit more when I'm hungry. I drink more water and fluids too .I've never used supplements. Some of these peoples kits make me feel ill .So many of them have never used the supplements before and now they're just throwing in more adjustments for the body.
