Hello, I was diagnosed three months ago. Mine was estrogen+ stage 2. I opted for Letrozole rather then chemo. Removed all sugars and processed foods from my diet as well. My lump was the size of a golf ball. Now it’s the size of the width of my pinky. Praise God. Despite the doctors opinion I have sought God’s direction for every decision from even prior to the diagnosis. This video is very informative and I thank God for her and for sharing her journey with us all. God bless her and you as well. Trust God. Ask Him to guide you through your journey to victory!

@@dn-cp6sh No. I am on the Letrazole and the mass is hardly palpable. I’m supposed to have a lumpectomy next month but I’m pushing it until the end of April since the pill has been effective. My oncologist is ok with waiting another month.
@@betojoann thank you. How long were you on the letrazole to make it shrink that much? Mine is 3cm, I'm afraid to do a lumpectomy because of how it will look after. I've also been reading how fasting/ low carb can help shrink tumors
Get pass the shock of the results is one thing, then the surgery. That itself is something to deal with it's good to have a support team and more better to have some intercessory prayer going on because everyone can't endure those treatment and that's real talk. The pain Lord have mercy Jesus help. I can't understand how so many women are being diagnosed with breast cancer when I was coming up we rarely even heard of anyone getting sick and no mention of this stuff that's going on. So many questions
This has been a journey for me. Lord i have done all that you suggested.
I found a lump in my left breast mid-April; tested and biopsied April 27, diagnosed May 1 (invasive ductal carcinoma) ; met with my surgeon on May 9 my 76th birthday; surgery scheduled forJune 7.
I hadn't a clue until this video of what I need. Not a clue. I am new to my health provider, and they have been prompt and efficient with testings, diagnosing and surgery schedule. Not so much (leastwise, not yet) forthcoming with what to expect, do, or require right after surgery. I guess they would send me home with instructions after surgery.
I happened on your video today as I was looking for what side effects to expect for hormone blockers which my surgeon mentioned my oncologist may prescribe for treatment, and radiation. I have yet to meet with my oncologist. I'm told after the surgery.
Im glad I found you today. I can at least have my support bra, extra gauze, coconut cream on hand. Thank you. I'm barely at the starting point of this journey, I'm heartened to find folks along the way who are travelling the same road.
Thank you so much for posting this. I have been diagnosed with ductial carcinoma (non-invasive), and I will be getting a lumpectomy with sentinal lymph node biopsy. You have no idea how helpful this video was. All I was told by the scheduling nurses was that I needed a button down shirt for the day of the surgery and a sports bra.

I had a double mastectomy on March 14th. I wanted both removed and was lucky there was no cancer in my lymph nodes. If I would have just had the cancer in the breast removed. I would have had to have 6 weeks of radiation and at least that of chemo. After my double mastectomy. I am cancer free and don't have to have either. And now I don't have to worry about breast cancer anymore. Since there isn't any breast tissue left. And no, I'm not having any reconstruction done. This was enough pain to go through for me. Praying for the cancer nightmare for everyone to end. Find a cure. Now!
Had to meet with an oncologist this week. She tried to scare me into having chemo even though I had no cancer in my lymph nodes and was told I am cancer free from the pathology report and my surgeon. This is the most heinous thing I have ever witnessed! What a money hungry, not caring about me at all. To use the it might be floating around your body scare tactic on me. It didn't work. I told her I'M NOT TAKING ANY CHEMO, PERIOD! Did anyone else get this scare tactic pushed at them after being told you are cancer free? Despicable!

A second biopsy is going to determine whether my high grade DCIS will be removed via lumpectomy with radiation, chemicals, etc or a mastectomy. Every instinct in me is telling me to chop off the lot and be worry free. No toxic chemicals or crispy fried skin. I have already been told that they don't like removing "good tissue" so I have a battle ahead.. but I'm going to stand my ground. It's my body and no one is going to force me to keep something that is probably going to eventually kill me. I too want to to escape this nightmare so it's the worry free option for me also.. and to hell with a reconstruction.. . at 67 I don't have a need for booobs anymore. 😁 Thanks for sharing.. 🙏
@@lizze8262 I'm cancer free after my double mastectomy and there was no cancer in any of my lymph nodes. But now I'm having to fight the oncologists at the cancer center in my town. They want me to still have chemo, take a chemo therapy pill, that they are calling a "hormone blocker" for 5 years. That has a mile long list of really scary side effects. And then they wanted me to book my radiation appts.! I went in that cancer center and went off on them! They are treating me like I'm stage 4 cancer. When I'm in fact cancer free! So now my regular doctor wants me to go have a second opinion in another towns cancer center next month I have an appt. But guess what. Still saying no to all treatments. I don't trust them at all. When I told the oncologist, No to all the treatments. She got mad. I don't think anyone had ever told her no before. She then tried to scare me into it. When that didn't work. She then tried to bully me in to it. That only ticked me off even more! Then she tried to lie to me about the "hormone blocker". That actually is a chemo pill. Then they called to get me to book my radiation appts. What they plan to radiate, I don't know. They never discussed radiation with me at all before. That just came out of left field. So I went in and raised hell and told them to take my name off of anything having to do with that cancer center. That is when my regular doctor sided with the cancer doctor. Of course doctors stick together! And wanted me to get a second opinion. To try to get me to say yes to them. Sorry, not going to work. I'm just going to say hell no to them too. If the past 3 years of this plandemic has showed. Don't trust doctors or big pharma. They only want control, power and money from us. They don't care about me. But I'm a warrior! I went through the radical decision to have both my breast cut off to save my life. And it worked. So fighting a few doctors will be a piece of cake. Hey docs bring it on!
@@lizze8262 they tried to get me to just have the lumpectomy also. But I told my surgeon, chop them both off. I don't want to have all those poisons and have to worry the rest of my life about this ever again. I'm 63. And I have to say, the double wasn't to bad. The drain tubes suck. But after they were removed 8 days after the surgery. It was better after that. The only area that hurt were the area under my arms where I had quite a bit of side boobage to remove. The front area didn't really hurt. It's more numb. Some areas are still numb. The under arm areas aren't sore anymore. I found the drugs after the surgery they gave me were worthless. I found a salve called tiger balm. It helped take the pain away. I put it above and below the incision, not on it. And that really helped. Also after the drain tubes were removed. I got a cotton/poly camisole from a mastectomy place to give me support. That also helped alot. Because riding in cars etc. There is still jiggling. Also I slept for a week in my recliner with pillows on each arm of my chair to raise my arms up. That really helps. I pray for you in your journey. Remember, we are now "sisters of the traitorous tatas" club. I made up that name by the way. I want to make tee shirts! Lol. And I have been wearing my flat chest proudly! No stuffed bras for this warrior! Fight on!
@@loritanner4478 Thank you Lori you've made me laugh so much.. now I can't stop crying.. damn it I can't see to type. . First tears since this nightmare started..tears of fear, sorrow and relief all flooding out in a big puddle. I didn't know I needed it.
Apart from reproducing three times in my late twenties I've had very little need for doctors and hospitals. Then one tiny drop of blood on my bra changed all that. Luckily, halfway through the previous day, due to irritation, I had swapped the wired black bra I was wearing for a softer, neutral coloured one. I noticed the spot next morning while I was gathering the wash. (I'd never have noticed it on the black one!) What a shock! I had a GP appointment within two hours.. wearing the old bra for proof.. the shame. :-)
Then the nightmare began. Now, four days in from a second biopsy I am nursing a boob that is so black, blue and so traumatised it could start a whole new cancer colony on its own. Final result/sentencing will be in about two weeks. As in your case my instincts are screaming at me to chop off all risk. End of. I'm close to 68 now, active and in good health and I don't want to spend the rest of my days worrying if every twinge or ache is a cancer returning. I don't even have cancer BTW! Just a Stage Zero pre-cancer!! It really makes me angry that so many women are still being mutilated because of a lack of a cure. Little has changed in my lifetime. I've known or heard of dozens of people, including relatives, who all died bald and shriveled after living a two year life of misery on toxic drugs, albeit more "modern" toxic drugs. 🤷♂️
I intend to stick around to enjoy my grandchild (one, so far 🙏). So. It's off with Traitorous Tatas! ... and on with Life. Thanks also for the "real life" after op tips... The breast clinic gave me a pink and fluffy breast cancer "guide book" filled with smiley faces and fuzzy words.. Need I say more!? Anyway. I'm already on the hunt for post op aids...and Tiger Balm. Amazon is going to love me this month! Thank you for taking the time to post your story. It was great to not feel so alone with my decisions. I am sure lots of other ladies will benefit from your wise words too.

Just to let you know that in the uk, you don’t have to pay vat for surgical bras, and after 8 weeks post surgery, the hospital will issue one x

@@12382576 My surgery went ok. I am doing radiation now and I didn't need reconstruction because I only had a lumpectomy. They only took the cancer out and a reduction. So far, so good.

Ist time seeing that bra I came home wrap with ace bandages the moved up to sports bras. Yes it's not easy to lift your arms therefore get bra zip up in the front try to prop piilow behind your back because when breast shift the weight can be painful.

I was diagnosed (last month) with stage 2 BC with HER2 + receptor (negative lymph nodes)... was scheduled for a lumpectomy today but I end up canceling because I wanted to be able to have a reduction and my other breast at the same time. What made me hesitant about continuing the appointment is because the doctor says they want to remove a large area and the surgeon doesn't want to give me a picture of what that would look like. Now I have to wait to speak to the plastic surgeon to see what I have to look forward to as far as looks.
I remember you said that you had a lumpectomy with the reduction. How much was removed for your lumpectomy and how does it look. I feel like the way they're describing the lumpectomy to me is that I will be walking with half a breast (down the middle of my nipple) just because they're not being clear. Any suggestions?
Did you not do the recommended chemo first for her2?
I know that my breast surgeon and plastic surgeon both were very supportive and they would not have left my breast misshapen or non natural looking. So I am hopeful that your doctors will feel the same. Basically the scars are like an upside-down T shape. There is an incision from the bottom of the nipple down, then then across, under my breast. If it would be helpful, I can do a video to describe what it looks like in a way that won't be flagged as inappropriate.
Mine told me I will have a smaller breast size. A lumpectomy and a reduction of the unaffected breast to match just like the lady in the video
I had this surgery. The only thing I needed was a rocking chair! 😂😂😂😂 I couldn't lay on my stomach, and I definitely couldn't lay flat on my back, so I needed the rocking chair to lay back, but not flat.
A rocking chair is definitely a smart idea!

I also treated my breast cancer holistically under the care of a holistic doctor and I'm in year five cancer free.
What type of cancer did you have? Did you lose you hair, eyebrows, and lashes with chemo?
I had Stage 2 breast cancer. My tumors were multifocal so there were 3 when they opened me up for surgery. I'm currently going through chemo. I shaved my head and still have my eyebrows and lashes.
Did you request the breast reduction or was it required?
My plastic surgeon asked if I wanted it. It was not required for me but I wanted them to be as even as possible so I was all for it.

How long was your surgery
If I remember correctly I think the surgery was around 4 hours or so.
So did you have a lumpsectomy and breast reduction surgery due to having big large breasts or fatty tissue.i have to get the lumpsectomy and breast reduction and also lymph nodes removed and I'm so scared I'm a big women overly obese as doctors call it to have a surgery like this it's scary
@elliegarcia9791 I got the reduction so my breasts would be even in size. I could have opted not to have it done if I wanted to but I didn't see any reason not to get it done. I was a F cup so I had fairly large breasts.
I will say that your surgery team should help you feel at ease and confident in their abilities. If you don't feel like they have your best interest in mind, you have the right to seek other doctors.
