Any concrete plans for the iPad yet?
I use an iPad much more than a phone or laptop, and it's the one thing keeping me from using Arc. Please Brower Company, make a iPad app!
@@robertpolding9198 Same here, I'm a little surprised that they're moving on to Android when the iPad version isn't even a thing.
Indeed, a necessity arises, particularly for individuals owning the M1 or M2-based iPad Pro models, for an iPad iteration resembling the desktop version.
@@MrMJMTech exactly, it sucks that you can use an iPad / iPhone app on your M1, M2, M3 Mac but not the other way around. I'd be fine with that.

Now, I can remove Arc Companion. So far, the new update is extremely fluid and the sync integration is clean, smooth and much more responsive than in Arc Companion. The design is nicer as well, even with the themes.

My main computer is a MAC, but I also use Android, Linux and Chromebook. I hope you have those platforms in your roadmap, or at least a path for the open source community to contribute if you don't have the resources.

One major issue with Arc Sync is that, after switching to a new MacBook yesterday, it is true that tabs and settings synced to the new computer, but the extensions did not.
After checking discussions on Perplexity and Reddit, it seems that extensions can only be added back manually one by one. This resulted in me spending nearly 90 minutes handling all the extensions one by one.
I hope this feature can be added in the future to make Arc for all for real!
Yes, an Extensions sync is needed.
for me I had to install chrome to sync my extensions then import them to arc 😅

it does but it is an iPhone app so it doesnt fit properly
I am so happy this has come, now i just need a way to open tabs on my phone to transfer to my laptop because right now it only works the other way. I remember the arc sync app where you could open temporary tabs but you couldnt add them to your laptop, is there anyway we can get arc search to just fully merge with Arc?

I use the Arc browser on my Mac at work. I wanted to use it on my personal Windows, but I hesitated as there wasn't an Android version. Now I can't wait for it to be available on these platforms so I can use it at home too!!! I hope we'll get french translation...

I love this browser so much
Very good initiative. Now all that's left is the "Browse for me" for my Mac and ARC for iPadOS. Oh, I would also like Arc to work with the Mac's native translation functionality, which translates and replaces translated text without having to open any other Web Page, and without having to rely on Google Translate.
Arc for iPad/Vision Pro would be nice...

I love this browser. So many gems to it, from the vertical tabs on the left that actually look great and work well for a change (not usually a fan of vertical tabs) and the mini player, starting afresh each day, simple but clean theming ... Other browsers just look really clunky to me now. Keep going, internet innovators!

Arc for all sounds pretty inspiring - but, as an iPad user, I'm kinda curious, why iOS app is, honestly, an iPhone app and why isn't it possible to adapt for bigger screen (where searching is much more logical and convenient)

Skynet? I appreciate the compatibility of the Sync feature with the iOS application, which is a commendable advancement. Moreover, the functionality on Windows, despite my infrequent utilization of it, is highly beneficial. However, the advertisement approach across all platforms bears semblance to the ominous AI system depicted in the Terminator films, evoking a sense of unease.

And about the Arc Sync on Mac, it would be great to not rely on Apple ID for this. At this moment I have to link my Apple ID to Arc so it can do the sync, but if it was an independent sync it would be better (like how Google Chrome sync is linked to Google Account, Arc sync could be linked to Arc account instead of Apple ID).
I just want to know when ARC Windows 1.0 will be available?
