this could be a tutorial for the makeup of the 70's revival of the 20's and 30's. Thank you so much for uploading this gorgeous Biba look. hehehe.. it seems like the historically accurate is a day version, and the modern one an evening, more somber version. Your channel is a gem!! thank you so much!!! a very needed escape from the bleak days of miss 5 letters 2 numbers
You look so different with the make up on! I think it is the lipstick that really does it. I love the 30s and have started changing my wardrobe over to 1930s style clothing. I'm not very good at make up, and wear very little. But, looking at my collection of every day 1930s women, most of them didn't seem to be wearing much if any make up during the day, just some lipstick it seems. So my Burts Bees red lip balm, blusher, lightly pencilled brows and touch of mascara and eye shadow probably is sort of authentic for the every day woman. My brows are barely there and very fair, and I have hated them for years, but now I'm thinking it might not be so bad because having barely there brows means I haven't much to hide with powder if I want to try and pencil a thin high arched 30s brow! You've inspired me to try it. I have also seen some eyebrow transfers on eBay and they have thin high arched so I'll buy some and see if they might look right also. As for false eyelashes- I dunno how you just popped them in place and they stayed there. I have been trying to get false lashes to stay on for years and they just will not even stick on!
I totally have found my tribe lol I WISH I can wear a thirties look daily awwe 💕 so have you tried to put mascara on your lashes first? I never could get my false lashes to stick until one Halloween and I put mascara first and put glue on my lashes plus the falsies lol I had become frustrated but it worked!!
I usually don't dig the modern side but this time.....looks just somehow better n more authentic if that makes sense. Great video n explanation of authentic n modern products. Can't wait for the 1920's one!!!!! Nice work 🌸 -XA
Wearing makeup was already risque in the 1930s! Of course the actual look seems tame by today's overly made up Instagram standards. I don't think people today really truly wear that much makeup all the time. I don't if I can avoid it, except for lipstick!

Love love loved this ❤️❤️🦋
I never thought to put Vaseline over my eyeshadow for a look like this!! Would this make mascara run or smudge at all, do you think?

I definitely get what you mean! The intensity of the modern side I feel really adds to the look!
60s please!

Once again, traditional > modern. Looks much simpler.
