People have been asking me where I've been since I now haven't uploaded since late 2019. So I'm just going to pin my response so people know I'm fine, better than fine. I really appreciate the concern, it's very humbling.
I'm still going to make content. That said, in the past it was my full-time job and I'd often spend 80+ hours a week making that content. Now that I'm a Designer at Gunfire Games I sometimes work from like 9am to midnight, not because anyone is forcing me but just because I enjoy it so much. Point being, there's only so many hours in the day and managing my time is important. Simply put, content isn't my job anymore, it's back to being like when I started years ago and it's just going to be a hobby again. And hobbies are something you practice only when you have extra time or make time for it. I'll get to it eventually but it honestly feels very good to play a game and just enjoy it instead of trying to think of content for it. On the other hand though, I love video editing and writing, and eventually I'll want to get back to that as a hobby, but right now it's still fresh as a job. At some point, in the not too distant future, I'll want to make content because I just want to make content, not because I need to in order to pay rent. I think that's an important transition to make, back to hobbyist from job, and I'm just not there yet.
Also, I've always had other dreams beyond RUclips, like being a game designer, and (almost) one year ago when my dad died I decided life is short and it was time to take action to pursue those dreams. Now, less than a year later, I've completely shifted career paths to follow that pursuit. It's kind of scary but I'm enjoying the ride so far.
Long story short, for the time being I'm enjoying playing games while making games instead of making gaming content, but I enjoy making content too much to give it up forever. I'll be back eventually.
good luck
That’s amazing to hear congrats! Sometimes I think viewers believe that RUclips is the be all of people’s lives but it’s great to see a creator who has Pursued and accomplished another avenue that they have a passion for! Onwards and upwards.
Much luck to you Mantis. Stay safe and healthy, also make sure you don't overwork yourself!
Amazing brother!! Live life the way you like!
Question: For Ex-Cult, I go Elder Knowledge > Vigor > Spirit or Elder Knowledge > Spirit > Vigor?
I would like to share this two tips:
1. Get a fire sword by ripping off the Singe tail
2. Double press left trigger to zoom with long range weapons.
Can you get later in the game
Wtf is singe xD im on the last boss btw , started playing like 10 hours ago
The the tail have its own heal bar, how am I supposed to cut off the tail? Lol
@@baylisssm so basically any guide with drops from bosses are somewhat useless right?
@@DsgSleazy Not really. You can go into adventure mode to make a short random 3 event instance to farm gear you may have missed.
Note: the Elder Knowlege Trait no longers gives 1.75% xp by level, it gives 1%, going up to 20%. I thinks it is still a must-have.
I didn't know this game had quasi-infinite levels at first, so I skipped that trait thinking the points would be wastes once I reach "max level". Didn't realize my mistake until I was already rank 100-ish.
Also drifter armor doesn't give -less stamina, it gives some sort of damage stacking buff
@@oscarfernandez4247 Still gives stamina regen bonus though
Interesting. Sounds like something that could be tweaked in the game files maybe.
The thing is it only pays off after 100 lvls I dunno
I didn't even know Neutral dodge was a thing. Knowledge
The in-game tutorial teaches this.
LMAO what a noob
Client side trait unlocking was glitched, it had been patched now. You can get revivalist, suspicion, and others now in other people's game.
You always could on ps4.
even slide of hands
@@seppevboxsel9690 lol, this is an old ass post. And it's sleight
To get Simulacrum faster, do adventure mode. Each run has 1 so if you clear 1 adventure mode zone, you’re going to get 1. Then reset adventure mode map and repeat. Got 15 Simulacrum in 20 or so hours in the game. Roughly 1 per hour as a normal mode earth clear won’t take long
Edit: also you don’t have to clear an adventure mode zone. A few times I found a Simulacrum in an alleyway a few minutes in and I reset the adventure mode right away
In story, the first dungeon to the north of the area just after the church always has one. I just farm that.
@@rblyle382 I must have missed this? I explored every inch of the map and didn't see this. Just started playing. I just got to the root mother
But how do u reset stuff?
@George0880 never found it
I found 2 of these one time in adventure mode
"You need to choose between the Undying King and the Izcal Queen"
Me: *looks at Undying King's corpse * mmm......about that......
Truuuue
I've killed him as soon as I met him on my first run
Lol same
@Trilian Tidwell me and my buddies got him in a handful of tries
This game just got added to Xbox Game Pass and man it is awesome I'm just starting and can't believe how good it is and pretty disappointed I didn't know anything about it before
Yeah saw gameplay but I wasn't sure if I wanted to pay for it but thank God for game pass
me too just the same
Add me @Special P23
wish it hit the PC game pass :(
The same here :D
I'm a little late, but I do have over 700 hours in this game and this guide is way better than the others I have seen, just small mention would be simulacrum also spawns in adventures, but this might have been added to the game after this guide, just for new players browsing comments 😉
thanks brother!
I'm looking for a psn partner to help with these online traits
This game is way too legendary for real
Great job with 700h
I feel it worth mentioning that the simulacrums will always spawn in the same locations in every world you generate. Thus allowing for easy farms if you speed run.
Just returned to tell you I hope your ok. Been 8 months, hope everything is well, stay strong
Yea damn did something happen?
@@sonofsparda3767 have no idea. Hopefully not
@@slisaey9342 yeah, but we can't push him. Whatever is wrong we just gotta be here for him when/if he returns. Everyone has to deal with shit in life, just hope it turns out ok.
And maybe everything is fine he just quit. But very unlikely lol
@@Vheone He is probably gone, you know :(

2nd reason to give Ixillis heart to Iskal Queen is that you won't have to re-roll your campaign if you want the Labyrinth armor in the Corsus DLC. There really isn't a reason not to give it to her unless you want the UK scythe. The fight is even easier.
dude.... you are GOOD at making this kind of tuturial/tip videos, you have the knack to say just what needs to be said concisely but with well-constructed sentences and then you move on to the next point without overextending the previous one, you are spot on! big kudos to you!
Terramantis seems fine he’s still active on Twitter and streams occasionally, on his Twitter it shows he works as a designer at gunfire games now
fr ? thas crazy
I’m just confused on why he would leave 320,000 subs
@@clumz4630 He has a job now on games he loves
He does? That's really cool!
Hope they make more games like this, because Remnant is somehow pretty unique in its blend of survival, horror, post-apocalyptic, RPG, story, etc and blends it together in a really really satisfying way. There are a few tweaks that would have made it better (journal to record lore finds so you don't have to go back to them and read them in the world, a more understandable relation between upgrading gear and enemy levels, a little insurance system for bad RNG, and a more approachable first boss than Gorefist/Shroud would top my list), but on the whole, it's an amazing game and I hope they make more.
Have all achevements, weapons, armor, traits and accesories. Never have i used neutral dodge in combat situation lol. Nice tip my man!
This game must be easy!! I'll pass
@@Heyyouhello950 or people will no life a game the first day it comes out. Play the damn game before you judge it
It really is an easy game once you learn how to play it. Still fun though.
@@tasierjay3435 ok god I'm sorry bro geezz!!
@@Heyyouhello950 It's not that the game ain't hard, its just that directional dodge is more instinctual to use than neutral dodge when you try to avoid an attack. Also, as probably all games, it gets easier with time played. Highest difficulty still can be brutal sometimes tho. For sure give this game a try.
Neutral dodge will also grant an opportunity to do unique melee attacks like the swipe with the spear. These attacks are usually arcs to crowd control
Glad to see ya making videos again, hope your brother is doing well!
Thanks, Michael. I appreciate that, seriously.
@@TerraMantis Subbed for your genuine response. I look forward to seeing more of your content.
@@808BassMetal Subbed 'cause I liked your reaction to it. Genuine-chainX2!
Nice, it's been a long while since I've watched your content, and this game really needed this
Small tip for later, Curse of the Jungle god side arm. Its tentacles not only knock down and stagger for massive damage. They also....work in combination with Leech.
Meaning the melee leech ring you have, work on the tentacles. And given the damage they deal, they will give you back 25 to 30% max life per hit.
The weapon itself is one of the best side arms in game, it packs a punch, and have a great mod in the tentacles, making corridor fighting a breeze since nothing can reach you.
Combine this with sentries and well, thats how you run through Night mare. But Curse of the jungle god is my tip, combined with leech ring, to a weapon nearly a must have for a smooth nightmare runthrough.
I was a little frustrated that my co-op partner triggered that fight since i wanted the claws on my first run, but good to know that gun is a top tier choice.
Didnt they patch this a few days ago?
@@jonathananleu5844 No Idea I been busy with Borderlands 3:)
@@jonathananleu5844 No, the patch indicated that the tentacle life leech was intentional, but removed life leech and other ring bonuses from summoned pets.

Man these tips were amazing! I just picked this up on the PSN store and its so fun! These tips are life savers.
Simulacrum must be in the mini-boss dungeon after the Church map on Earth, takes around 30mins or less to get one if u keep rerolling.
This is 100% spawn, got over 20 of it from there. Corsus's one will be in the first big map after entering.
I can't believe i have to re-watch this
You have no idea how glad I am that you're doing videos for Remnant! You explain stuff better than most ❤
Thank you, Danny. I appreciate that. I like to explain things, so I'm glad you think I do it well.
I remember my friend telling me to take the tail off singe to get his badass sword, but as soon as I fought him I completely forgot, but as soon as I killed him I remembered again and I wanted to die
I have been loving this game for the past two weeks. 40 hours played, am around 200 trait points. Learned a few great things from this video, will for sure check channel for more.
I just started playing remnant about a week ago and this video caught my eye...
Another thing to note with giving the queen the heart you also get the cryptolith sigil used to get 2 other traits and a set of armor
What ?
very thorough walkthrough and tip guide. Heard about this game today from a friend and wanted to see a bit of gameplay and its always nice to know some tips before starting a game. avoided as many spoilers as i could by just grazing the time bar every 30 seconds. Thanks for the info. Never seen your channel before but I have seen some comments about your brother. I hope he is doing well and I sincerely wish you are doing well too.
Dude, i never knew about the hive in ixillis, nice. 60 hrs in and i still learned a few things.
People like you are a blessing to every gamer out there! Amazing job! You've saved a lot of time for plenty of Remnant players! Keep doing your awesome work!
Crazy how this is the last video I’ve seen from TerraMantis and I still come back to it.
Aw, seems like a ton of people admired the content but I’m also so glad he loves being a designer
I love this game so much. Probably my favourite game of the year so far. I'm definitely stuck on Ixilis, but it's whatever, I like the challenge.
That winged bastard took forever best to whittle down their health to almost dead then take them both out at the same time. You get a nice axe that regens weapon abilities if you can pull it off.
I wish I seen this 60 hours of gameplay ago this was exactly what I needed at the start perfection in a video !!
same I'm already 30 hours in lol
@@pricefieldx I think I'm addicted but 2k20 borderlands 3 gears of war I'm sad because I'm going to put this game down n probably never come back haha
This is the ABSOLUTE BEST TIPS AND TRICKS VIDEO FOR REMNANTI IVE SEEN. Ive watched a bunch, and you are the 1st to mention the neutral dodge. Awesome content. I subbed. Gg's
Exactly the style of video I was looking for! Just enough info to make beginning Remnant easily more fun. subbed
Wow, i almost beat the game without neutral dodging once, thanks dude!
No problem!
yeah got through hard solo without even really using it, good to know
This game must be easy.. I'll pass.
@Suki Aiko huh but those other guys made it seem like it was easy
@@Heyyouhello950 any game can be beat on normal with a group. Thats just common sense the fun comes from the harder modes
i cant believe it was as simple as turning the power back off to stop the fan
Right??
Right!
Holy cow! If I would have watched this earlier I would have been saving myself from a lot of headaches during the fights and all the searching :D Thanks for this video!
Good shit, my dude! Been playing this since its birth and half of these were still news to me. Lol. Appreciated, brutha.
Finally one of these videos that actually has helpful tips rather than “do what you do in every game” spread out over several tips
Hope your having fun at your job terra! Love ya content, and honest rewatching these vids is fun, keep safe and in a healthy mindset(i am not asking where u are or fo u to come back, just some encouraging words for everyone really, but focused to you)
Hey, I'm doing great. So far I love the work I'm doing at Gunfire Games.
I truly respect what you're saying here and I appreciate the sentiment greatly. Thank you very much.
All that said, I'll definitely be back to RUclips in my free time at some point.
Just wanted to say thanks, this was exactly what I needed to get me started!
Thanks for the tips, man! I've barely scratched the starter quest and already died thrice so these tips are definitely going to help!
@TerraMantis, i did find out something extremely useful especially when you fight the final boss on corvus. If you go into your adventure mode on Earth you eventually of actually find a boss that splits apart. I don't know the name offhand since I'm relatively new to the game. Once you defeat the boss you get a thing called Flicker. With this one it actually helps you withstand a lot of the attacks and you do not stagger. I believe the percentage that you can withstand is 116% of your maximum health if you maximize your vitality. I do this is a co-op with a friend and it really did help out because I took a lot of the aggro from they souls that they in spawn in the fight as well as the beam when you drop them below 50% health. To help regen your mod capacity since you have your spirit gauge to 20 if you use the sniper found you can build up at gauge within five to six shots minimum. And then of course if you want to build it faster he used to submachine gun. I'm hoping if those who read this message as well helps them.
RL friend and I did this. One of us kited the mob around and one focused on one creature. And the mod you get is OP
Your explanation, pronunciation, video edits are all neat
My friend gave me this game for Christmas, I've watched some videos and read some articles but this is so far the most helpful.
Great video - these are indeed worthwhile tips.
I hate ploughing tens of hours into a game only to find I’ve missed something or sold a valuable item.
This video is incredibly helpful. Definitely sharing with friends. Thank you Steve!
Expect the ex cultist tip they suck balls
BXGamingTV what lol
EVERY SECOND WORTH THE WATCH.. TY BRO
Just started the game now and your video is super helpful. Wished you would have had more on the game since you are so good at it. Hope all is well
Nicely put together and informative - good job
Just leaving this comment to confirm that Ace DOES at one point sell a Simulacrum. For me it was a bit over halfway through my first playthrough. Haven't yet seen it on my 2nd playthrough.
Also. Additional info for the neutral dodge: Many of the melee weapons have a unique attack if you melee right after dodging. Eg. The spears will do a wide sweep useful for crowd control (charged or normal) while ALL of their usual attacks are thrusts, and if you do a charged melee with any of the hammers straight out of a neutral dodge, you'll perform a big overhead leap-smash which can deal significantly more damage than a regular charged hammer blow! (My personal favourite) ...but it does have a big windup.
Hope this helps some of you fellow adventurers :D
I’ve completed it three times and not once have I seen ace sell a simulacrum
Like GoodGameGamer said, I also beat the game over 8 times, checked Ace constantly and she never sold Simulacrum for me once. That said, until the patch with some fixes yesterday, I guess she used to randomly (and semi-permanently until reroll) disappear from people's game world.
Needless to say, I think there is or was something buggy going on with it. Clearly different from person to person. Hopefully it's all fixed now.
@@TerraMantis Late reply, but hey... Been playing a lot of adventure mode. Seems to be zero simulacrum on normal in my experience, but playing on hard ... found a simulacrum in adventure which I was not expecting, and then Ace sold another when I got back to the ward. So that's the second one I've seen her sell. Hopefully you've both seen her sell some by now too?
@@Eturian I have got at least 4 from adv mode, 2 on my own and 2 from joining others. I think the key is by joining others
On my blind playthrough, decided not to give the heart to the Undying. Figured the Queen had something better to offer...while I wasn't wrong, it's good to see I can go through a second time and give it to him.
This game is something else! I can't wait to see more updates for it!
Already a good guide! This really much more helpful than the other ones I saw.
Thank you so much for this! Just started yesterday and this will make my playthrough so much fun!!!!
Got the SMG thanks to this video. N00b to this game but damn, is it good.
Just wait man this game has so much to offer, kill bosses different ways to get different items, different worlds every reroll, Secrets everywhere, just a GREAT game. Hope you enjoy all of it
Dude this game was so fun, actually ended up going out of my way to platinum it,also a lot of this hidden stuff I legit found myself pretty crazy, great game tho. Hope they add a second campaign and more dungeons as well as gear
THE SWAMP DLC
Ty just starting my first playthrough and appreciate this, I am sure it will help a ton, downloading the game as we speak.
I watched this vid after playing it for 40 hours, and didnt know the tip number 9 and 10! Thanks a lot! :)
That dodge tip made me love you, lol.
OMG neutral dodge....never knew..... getting that heavy armor on now. Thanks!
Same here. I was just really hesitant due to the horrifying fat rolling you did with that armor. I mean you're gonna need to do directional rolling here and there but now I know the hidden meta on the neutral dodge now.
Thanks you for the information.
The grind continues!
Thanks so much, man. This was really succinct and helpful. I really appreciate the time you took.
This game is amazing! I haven’t been back to the Division 2 since its release!
Haha same here. Character movement almost the same.
Didn't see this during the friendly fire section, but also revive your teammates when pvping. You get a trait for extra revive speed after reviving so many times, which is very crucial on harder difficulties and hard bosses.
Also the suspicion trait is available for anyone as long as you're the one dying, so when my friends joined I was able to get them the trait because of our friends kept staying in the back and dumping lead into us
Great video nonetheless
I recently downloaded this game again cause the lack of motivation on The Division 2 made me go back and check my game library. I've seen a few videos about this game and this is BY FAR the best explanation ever!!! Not only you explained very well but also you show it in the game at the same time. It may seems obvious to make a video like that right? Well, you should take a look at the competition... Thx bro! Supeemegasubscribed!!!
My wife and a buddy just started this game yesterday and the first boss had us smashing our controllers.
I'm going to go back and get the Elder Knowledge Trait and the SMG and try again.
I'm mad I didnt see this until the end of my playthrough haha
So i was smashing through crates on Earth the other day, farming some Scrap when a Simulacrum popped out of one of the crates, took me completely by surprise
Just got this game last night. Can't wait to play more. This video has been super handy and I wanna go get that smg right away lol. The 100 kills w/ 10 guns tip seems good to know about this early. Thanks
This video is brutal , my friend forced me to play in the hardest difficult from the begging and the first boss was a beast.
This info will help us a lot because it explaine a nice stuff for beginners.
ok, got my mistakes, i shouldve watched this before starting the game
I like curse of the jungle god because the tentacle can be very good in small room and can stagger some boss.
wow... this is the best walkthrough ive ever seen... Really nice work!
Awesome video! Love this game! Didn't know about the sub machine gun - stoked to get home now and acquire it!
Kills for suspicion count for both players meaning kill each other 10 times each and u both will get the trait
Can't believe I'm on my 4th playthrough and on hardmode and I didn't realize how damn good neutral dodging was.... gorramnit.
Best video on RUclips. Can't believe the amount of work put onto this.
Thank you!!! THis was really helpful and very concise, you've got great pacing man!
I can confirm that ace sold me a simulacrum on my 2nd playthrough around when I reached corsus
yeah i only got sold 1 ever
My playthrough I blindly fought the undying king and took a good few hours to kill it lol
Well made.. Love a good speaker.. Great articulation.. gonna look thru and see what other games u cover.. hopefully more that I play..👌
Just started playing Remnant. MAN I LOVE IT
This game just came out of nowhere for me. Looks amazing and every time I watch a video I'm getting closer to a buy :) Also great video. Will use it when I buy it.
Thanks, glad you found it useful.
@@TerraMantis Bought the game last night and really like it. And I used the guide. So if you keep putting up video guides to this game I will keep watching them :)
Do it, it's great
A great tip I learned yesterday: take the game slow and learn how to manage stamina and avoid incoming attacks.
Now that i have seen this video of you I will give this game another run. Because I did stop very early in the game
due to not being able to kill some kind of boss there. After many tries, I just stopped and deleted the game. But,
now I believe I am able to get the job done, thanks!
Leon
Great video, ive done 4 playthroughs and still learnt a few things here. Thanks.
4 simulacrum per play through.
meanwhile im sitting with 28 simulacrum from joining tons of multiplayer.
Feels so good. On another note, who here thought of rolling to reduce the burning meter by thinking it through from MH mechanics?
I just tried rolling because that's a thing right? stop, drop and roll.
I'm still mostly using my starting armour, Hunting Rifle and SMG at all max level. I think that's what I like about this game, there's no real "best" weapon or armour as such. It's much more geared towards style.
I just got the game do u have any tips for me

Very usefull video! Super clean, quick and informative. Good job man, Thumbs up
Damn RUclips decided to recommend this and I noticed I was subbed. Shame to see it's been a good time since upload but also good to know your doing well. Here's to hoping everything keeps going well through such times as this.
