To tack on weapon upgrades, that I am aware, melee weapons from bosses don't have the crystal cost to upgrade, even if they have a unique effect. (My main source on this is the Huntress spear because I like being able to yeet my melee for Deceit's mod.) Additionally, every major milestone exhaust Mudtooth of his dialogue. At certain points, you will be rewarded for listening to his stories. In the case of people hunting the Trait points, I believe each world will (usually) have ten books to spawn for collection. (Source there is being stuck on my first world boss until I found my 10th book of knowledge to let me have subtype class.) As a tip in don't forgets, don't forget that emotes are a thing, some can be used to solve puzzles or extra rewards
@@WobblezTheWeird Any of the ammo mods are great. Acid, fire, shock, etc. Reminds me of Outriders where the best builds were all the ones with augmented ammo.
Me and my bro started playing this game since he wanted to play it and as the older brother i'm just glad to play games with him. So I chose the veteran difficulty and we're just got to the N'erud labyrinths and the boss fights are heck but eventually we do beat them. I chose the hunter and he picked the handler, looks like the game opens up and look forward to that.
Another huge tip would on mod generation is utilising DoT effects. The weapon from the first world boss is a great generator weapon, hit the enemy a few times to get the debuff on the enemy and swap to your normal weapon and watch the mod power flow. Works best if your other mod is an instantaneous mod rather than a fuel mod (i.e. hotshot) so you don’t have to wait for it to expire before gaining mod energy again
Great basics video. I would love to see a bunch of videos about this game. Like a guide, area guides, boss guides, weapon and item guides, etc. Very well put together content.
Thanks for the video! So glad you went over the square doors and curved doors. I didn’t even realize there were different door types lol. Played about 16 hours over the weekend and I’m hooked. I just play solo but I love the gameplay, enemies and worlds. It’s so high quality and I hope this game gets more recognition.
If you want lots of goodies you really gotta turn on the autism and go full completionist mode. With the random generation it’s possible you got lucky and rolled a rare side quest or reward that you won’t come across easily again. And don’t be afraid to look up videos if all else fails. Some of these puzzles are majorly ridiculous (e.g. waiting 90 real-time minutes for water to fill up a room) and in at least one case there’s a puzzle that requires multiple players (the dog will not work, it has to be another player). In the case of the second example, the amount of time you’ll waste trying to find the solution (1 hour) when there simply isn’t one for a solo player, is much better spent looking it up and moving on. It’s more rewarding to figure a lot of this stuff out yourself and it’s also fully possible if you’re being thorough and attentive, but if you’re at the point where it’s holding you back from moving on just look it up, you’re sanity will thank you. Oh, invisible walls are a thing, have fun rolling into everything.
Great to see you doing another game. Foolish me didn't realize there's a difference between Xbox One S and series S cuz it wouldn't install on my system. Well we figured that out then my modem and 50" tv blew simultaneously. Glad to say I can hop right into this now. Keep the vids coming
Got a ,,pretty good lumenite farm'' in The Lament when i was dying over and over trying to do a jumping puzzle that turned out to be invisible pathway.... god i love this game, some boss mechanics also took me by surprise like the labirynth cubes this is so fun
Relic shard drops are based off world level so if you gamble them at town load up an Apocalypse game then teleport to a crystal in that campaign then back to town so the town level becomes Apoc then gamble for them at the vender.
One other tip is you can create loadouts so if you want to swap everything with one click, you can. To access loadouts, press the Tab key and look at the lower left corner. You see Stats/Loadouts. On PC, Press R twice because the first press gives you all those stats. You have access to 8 loadouts and one last gear state, which I don't know what that means, just have to play around with it. But each loadout saves not just your archetypes, but also your gear, so once you start opening up those archetypes and find a loadout you like, save it. That way you can click one button to go from a medic/handler to a summoner/whatever without having to click 50 buttons to swap out gear.
the ping system honestly need some rework. constantly hitting invisible walls. or sticking itself to a teammates even though they're nowhere where you pinged
This is kinda feeling like myst got a souls-like remake. Loving the puzzles and world hopping, and im trying to make sense of the story still since im only on my first run.
I played up until the last boss and did every area of every zone in the campaign up to that point and I ONLY unlocked ONE extra engram. I didn't know that the vendors sold anything that would unlock more of them for me. I'm a consumable hogger, I rarely/never use temporary buff items because I don't want to waste them. I pretty much wrote all the vendors off except the girl that sells you Iron, the weapon upgrade guy and the lady that makes new weapons from boss guts. "things I wish I knew sooner" indeed 🤣🤣🤣
You can also deconstruct weapons if you don’t like them and it redounds all the upgrade materials minus the scrap so it’s not a big deal leveling and testing weapons early on.
thanks for the tips dude.. btw rerolling the adventure modes for each world, do the items collected during the adventure mode get back to our original campaign character? i.e weapons amulets etc
Yep, anything you find in either Adventure or Campaign will be on your character unless they are quest items specific to a certain thing, but even some of those I think you can carry over for certain mysteries.
This game is so fun, 10x better than the first one, except for the storyline. It's also extremely hard solo. The detail to every nook and cranny in each level is jaw dropping, then you "reroll campaign" and it generates a whole new fully detailed world. They really killed it with this game! It's also free on xbox live, I just wish I had a series x so I didn't have to cloud stream it.
does anyone else feel like scrap drops at an extremely rare rate compared to R1? I can literally go into earth and leave with 20 to 30 thousand but in R2 I never even got 50k throughout the entire game.
The light dodge doesn't use stamina when rolling, in combat. that 's huge if you dodge a lot, and it helps a lot in the early game, when you don't have the stamina investment yet.
Tip: if you do the night web boss, you can put unused story/quest items into the web for mutations. So if you open the door and didn't give the statues, or you went to the goat world and kept the ribbon, throw it into the web for resources.
@@DDRWesselink there's the web you put the nightweaver statue into to get the dreamcatcher. You don't have to pick up the other things. I got those relic mod pop-ups saying i got items right away. Edit: i also threw in the plain ribbon and other quest items that i already had the rewards for.
Great vid dude, I wouldn’t mind seeing strategies to some of the bosses or some build recommendations with duo classes, keep up the good work and great game, really enjoying it so far
This game looks interesting, never played souls type games but this looks a little more of an adventure style game and I hear there are puzzles. Graphics look pretty good too.
The souls games are definitely adventure games. They feel more like adventure games than this does. Remnant 1/2 definitely feel more like shooters. They're great, but they're shooters at their core. They're really 3D Diablo.
@TheDungeonDive like diablo? How is that? diablo is a looter . Yea remnant has loot but it's not random theres not stats to roll or percentages to max out .Remants gameplay is much closer to a souls like than it is to diablo outside of the obvious completely different gameplay styles diabo is all about number if your number is bigger than the bosses you win.theres almost never been any level of skill involved , Remand can be brutal
If you like a challenging rewarding experience with exploration, puzzles, and a good repayable experience. Definitely worth it. Story line is kinda meh imo
I have to say, I’m only a few hours into this game, and I didn’t think I would even remotely enjoy this type of game but I have come to the realization that my expectations in video games have gotten far higher than it needs to be. I find myself searching for open world games with looter, shooter style mechanics such as a Bethesda game or cd project red game with expansive upgrading and customization and honestly, this game just hits different. I can’t exactly pinpoint what makes me enjoy this game so much, but it has changed my perspective on the types of games I like and the types of games I’m willing to purchase to see and explore whether or not I like it. I find myself just not purchasing Games altogether because I don’t want to waste 50 - $80 and just have no replay value. I find these days that you can spend $80 on a game and only play it for 20 hours total and I honestly can’t understand why a game like that would even compare to a game that has infinite creativity. But then I bought this game…. And I really hope the devs support the hell out of it with lots of weapons and new levels. Yes, I would prefer a true open world game, but then you would lose much of the detail they put in the individual levels, and I think that’s where my mindset needs to change within video games today. I wouldn’t mind going into adventure mode and exploring the lost area because they are so rich with detail. I can’t wait to see what this game further becomes
Another tip is to break everything ! Pots, tables, buckets... When you enter somewhere just act like Link and break everything, it gives a ton of scrap (not every object you break is gonna give you scrap).
I love games like this, but always gotta watch a video like this before I really get into them , Becouse spending points on the wrong stuff can really mess your character up not knowing what your doing
This is what I expected from Destiny! Explorations, shooting and treasure in regions I avtually have to explore. Not these Diablo like loot explosions with a lot of crap and identical weapons that increase an artificial "light level" number.
Being able to use two classes makes it harder to choose, so much potential. Do I want to go for the sharpshooter gunslinger combo similar to what I played in 1, or do i go melee class with medic for close range tank? Then there's the hidden extra classes too
Gonna give you a hard truth but a necessary one. Melee in this game is not a viable main. It's is best to use it as an ammo conservation tactic for Squishies It will crush most small enemies in a single hit to 3 but bosses and elites even on normal difficulty....not a chance (Trust me I love melee and abuse it in the game, but unless you build full tank I can't see it)
Great video!- I've been watching videos for a week now, you explain some more in depth that I needed to hear. Yet to buy but probably will this weekend 😆.

To tack on weapon upgrades, that I am aware, melee weapons from bosses don't have the crystal cost to upgrade, even if they have a unique effect. (My main source on this is the Huntress spear because I like being able to yeet my melee for Deceit's mod.)
Additionally, every major milestone exhaust Mudtooth of his dialogue. At certain points, you will be rewarded for listening to his stories.
In the case of people hunting the Trait points, I believe each world will (usually) have ten books to spawn for collection. (Source there is being stuck on my first world boss until I found my 10th book of knowledge to let me have subtype class.)
As a tip in don't forgets, don't forget that emotes are a thing, some can be used to solve puzzles or extra rewards
This has game of the year all over it!
I love the starting AR. Still using it. Lol. Also highly recommend Enigma for the secondary. It erases entire groups of trash mobs instantly.
Exact same gun set up I'm running, just got the shock elemental augment mod and it's crazy with the AR
Just completed my first world, hoping to pick it up next.
@@WobblezTheWeird Any of the ammo mods are great. Acid, fire, shock, etc. Reminds me of Outriders where the best builds were all the ones with augmented ammo.
Acid has been my go-to with the lmg from the vendor
@@brujj That is also a good combo. Been testing it out myself.
The amount of replayability is insane! Shout out the favorite feature which I'm gonna go log in and use right now!
Everyone has different first worlds since it's random
Haven’t gotten any weapons yet and I just got the third and fourth worlds unlocked
Absolutely love this game. One of my favorites of all time
You explain things probably better than any other gamer ive came across. Great job.
If you are running a melee challenger with shield hp Regen, your starter weapon maxed out is at 300+. Can crit 2k with it.
Best beginners guide I’ve seen on this game so far.
I like to use the LMG as the gunslinger. 150 bullet magazine and once it's running out, pop the skill. insta reload with free bullet
And mod insta reload gun. Hot shot melt enemy 😊
@@vuckovicgoran86the electric version gives increased fire rate too 😎
Corrosive is my jam with that gun
@@footthumb 90 minutes, ok i waned to try it since they just added it to psplus, but fck no
Great to see you doing another game.
The second archetype slot and how to unlock them is a game changer. I wish the game had explained that, I got through the first world with only 1.
Relic shard drops are based off world level so if you gamble them at town load up an Apocalypse game then teleport to a crystal in that campaign then back to town so the town level becomes Apoc then gamble for them at the vender.
I think I must have missed this. There's gambling? Who does that. I thought I talked to everyone
Yeah what
“That is the main point of armor. How do you look. How do you dodge.” As a destiny Hunter player, I like your priorities
There hasn’t been a game that has really made me want to turn on my PS5 so much as Remnant 2.
That way you can click one button to go from a medic/handler to a summoner/whatever without having to click 50 buttons to swap out gear.
flashlight also illuminates clues in some puzzles. Had a puzzle in a sewer that I needed to find a lock combination amongst numbers on the wall.
the ping system honestly need some rework. constantly hitting invisible walls. or sticking itself to a teammates even though they're nowhere where you pinged
I have been resetting my campaign before beating the first world as I've needed the extra trait and scrap drops so I can get better.
Just a fair advice, your Ping button, held down, brings up the emote wheel, you might need that for a certain area and " person "
I just started playing couple days ago and this video was very much helpful and well structured. Thank you.
You're very welcome!
This is one of the best videos on this game ! I'll be coming back here for tips! THNQ man!
You can also deconstruct weapons if you don’t like them and it redounds all the upgrade materials minus the scrap so it’s not a big deal leveling and testing weapons early on.
Scavengers Bauble is an amulet that gets you 50% more scrap and picks crafting stuff and scrap up automatically. It's a random drop on Yaesha.
thanks for the tips dude.. btw rerolling the adventure modes for each world, do the items collected during the adventure mode get back to our original campaign character? i.e weapons amulets etc
Yep, anything you find in either Adventure or Campaign will be on your character unless they are quest items specific to a certain thing, but even some of those I think you can carry over for certain mysteries.
Damn, just started playing solo, even Survivor mode is difficult, and I am 20+ years into gaming! And I am just at the start of the game. :)
@@VicharB I started on veteran just recently boy was I wrong had to bump it down to survivor
Such an amazing game. One thing that I wish was better for group play was the mapping system. Would be nice to have a compass or something
Finally got around to getting this after loving the first one. This is super helpful, thanks!
does anyone else feel like scrap drops at an extremely rare rate compared to R1? I can literally go into earth and leave with 20 to 30 thousand but in R2 I never even got 50k throughout the entire game.
The light dodge doesn't use stamina when rolling, in combat. that 's huge if you dodge a lot, and it helps a lot in the early game, when you don't have the stamina investment yet.
Tip: if you do the night web boss, you can put unused story/quest items into the web for mutations. So if you open the door and didn't give the statues, or you went to the goat world and kept the ribbon, throw it into the web for resources.
Which web? I threw the three statues in the second little web.. they just disappeared and I got nothing haha.
@@DDRWesselink there's the web you put the nightweaver statue into to get the dreamcatcher. You don't have to pick up the other things. I got those relic mod pop-ups saying i got items right away.
Edit: i also threw in the plain ribbon and other quest items that i already had the rewards for.
Great video very helpful.
Been playing for a month and I still don’t know much about the game thank you
Great vid dude, I wouldn’t mind seeing strategies to some of the bosses or some build recommendations with duo classes, keep up the good work and great game, really enjoying it so far
Noted!
This game looks interesting, never played souls type games but this looks a little more of an adventure style game and I hear there are puzzles. Graphics look pretty good too.
It is but be aware it is still very much a souls like game in that even the weakest enemies can put you down fast.
@@cowgoesbarkeh I never expected a great story
Awesome tips. VERY nice and unique ones! Thank you!
Glad you like them!
Best vid for a beginner I’ve seen so far smashed it bro 🗣️
Thanks very much.
Great stuff here! I just started playing so these tips are invaluable.
I think I need to dial down my difficulty level because this game is tough AF!
I beat the game and didn't know most of this.
Highly refreshing game. Crashes constantly right now, but still better than most these days.
Played the 1st game recently, diving in to this today thanks for the video and thank you game pass!
Love the video. I just got the game going try it out now.
Finally after going through a few vids a great summary of what I was looking for 👍🏻👍🏻
One of the best games ive played in a while definitely a goy candidate now i wait for armor core 6
Just got this same from a sale. Thank you for the guide!!
Appreciate this video. Some of the systems and/or where to find things are a bit convoluted to stumble through on your own.
Don't forget EMOTES - some special interactions/awards can happen when you use emotes (Default hold G on Keyboard+Mouse)
Hands down the best guide ive seen ,great content thank u!
Just picked it up this morning. Great video
The cube boss would be neat to see a guide for
Beat ‘em last night. One of the coolest bosses and concepts ever
I just beat him and he’s the only one who’s given me trouble so far
20 attempts later I finished the sentinal...worst boss Design ever
Being able to use two classes makes it harder to choose, so much potential. Do I want to go for the sharpshooter gunslinger combo similar to what I played in 1, or do i go melee class with medic for close range tank? Then there's the hidden extra classes too
Trust me 60 hours and counting for a reason, really enjoying this.
Gonna give you a hard truth but a necessary one. Melee in this game is not a viable main. It's is best to use it as an ammo conservation tactic for Squishies
It will crush most small enemies in a single hit to 3 but bosses and elites even on normal difficulty....not a chance
(Trust me I love melee and abuse it in the game, but unless you build full tank I can't see it)
@@renatoperocchio4508 yes but counter point: shotgun
@@GrimViridian it's possible, but for someone of my skill, not likely
@@renatoperocchio4508 gonna give it a try lol see how it goes
Awesome video man. I’m struggling so much on what difficulty to play on lol. I’m going back and forth from survivor and veteran
First play on survivor, second time on veteran.
@@Ebontisthank you🙏
Great video!- I've been watching videos for a week now, you explain some more in depth that I needed to hear. Yet to buy but probably will this weekend 😆.
Thanks for the good tips.
How did you make the game run so smooth and look so crisp?
Wish there were different backpack options to choose from and maybe armor customization with color options etc.
| started as the tank, swapped my shot gun for a sniper rifle, put on some light boots, droped my weight down to medium and now am a well armoured sniper who can roll around the place.
Loved the first game, and I just finally a year later after its released am starting this one. lol
