@@baitposter The purple phantoms were good when DS3 was 1st released, now everyone knows what are they, so they lost thier "trolling friendly fire" purpose. But here, oh boy, you will obtain alot of trolling montages and salt
@@constipation4650 Main issue, I think, was that they weren't given a potential incentive for helping others in co-op, so people learned they can only really benefit from killing you. They can be actually unpredictable if they were able to win something either way, as co-operator or killer.
If it didn't look like you'd make it to the boss room, they can turn on you. If they feel they can't out-duel you, they can help you, until you're low on health, then they could turn on you in your moment of weakness. They could also just turn on you if they feel like it. An actual wildcard player.

@@Anedime It was a fun little game, but I think the lack of loot and the biomes not really being as random as I'd hoped is pretty disappointing. The core gameplay is absolutely solid though, I have to give it that.
Seems like a fun game when playing with friends, as a single player experience it looks pretty bad

Can't say whether their games were good or not, just, yeah, I mean, they look like the put effort in em
If you play this game on PC, use the world analyzer. It looks at your save and you'll be able to see the rolls you have in your world. So basically it will actually allow you to hunt new bosses, items and other encounters without actually rolling it blindly and doing 200000 playthroughs.
The fact that the bosses and items are locked in different maps is a pretty big point against for me, the tens of ads that spawn with bosses (it does get manageable if you have certain mods), I did have a complaint about consumables/healing taking a bit long though there's a trait ingame that fixes that. You have to get to the third world though. The only other problems would be the glitches that occasionally happen. Got locked into the storm caller animation and had to flee a dungeon for example.

Honestly one of the most fun coop games as of recently, also the heavy crossbow was the only reason all of us have maxed the "Decrease dick teammate factor" skill also known as "Decrease friendly fire damage". The knockdown on it is still the best thing since butter on toast. I can't recall the amount of times where one of us went "Oh sorry, did you say something?" *CLANG*

Also a Great Medic weapon since it causes Bleed, i always ran faster recharge and Bleed Heals combined with more bleed neclace which all came in the new DLC combined withMaze Armor

what the coop part ruines/conceals is how surprisingly atmospheric this game is.
that one sandy level, with the spear dudes.. dude.. I felt like playing Resident Evil 4 for the first time.

I got to play through the whole game myself and I deeply enjoyed it. The thing that surprised me is that even though I finished the Campaign. There was at least 1 whole planet I still needed to search and probably 14 other bosses I needed to fight.

Aah Remnant. Good times, fun game. I ran a cool "immortal vampire" build where I heal based on any bleeding enemies. Fun with friends while it lasted.

Any ways, jolly cooperation is fun for the kids as well.
Not only can you pet the dog, but doing so gives you the item to summon him in battle, which is an incredibly useful item for hardcore runs, as it does solid damage and has a hidden mechanic that gives you health regen when you give pets. My only complaint is that he bork too much.

It’s actually a fun game but NEVER try a boss alone. I played on hard difficulty and every boss made me want to die, not because of difficulty, they were honestly all pretty easy, but nearly every boss in the game throws unlimited spawning enemies at you at a rate of approximately 900 dudes per second.most of your deaths during boss fights won’t even be from the boss, they will be some exploding piece of crap that spawned right behind you. I got to the final boss and when I saw that even he just sends tons of guys at you, I gave up. If you must play this game, find a friend who will cover your butt.
To be fair, the game kinda has to have infinite enemies during bosses. They're the only way to refill your ammo during a fight (if you didn't bring ammo boxes) and a lot of the bosses can't be melee attacked.

This game is genuinely pretty good and it became one of my favorite games. The devs actually care about the game and they interact with their players. People who dog on the game are just comparing it too much to DS/Bloodborne or just don't understand how to play.
@Weyland Punani I liked it till I got to a point in the game where the boss I was fighting always did one hit kills by design. Not hard just cheap game design if you ask me not to mention the room we were fighting in was the size of my fucking closet 😂

I played most of this game solo and I loved it. I love some of the bosses in this game and for some reason I really enjoyed the trait system as well.

I hated making MA builds in DDDA due to having to level up as a sorcerer.
I really wish more souls likes had this kind of co-op system. No nonsense with summoning signs and shit. Just connect with your friends and go everywhere with them, I had a ton of fun playing this with my mate, then we tried to play Code Vein together and it was bloody abyssmal as we had to go through each area twice.
One of the few games I'd like a sequel for or hell some DLC would be nice.
Dlc just came out, probably not what you're expecting though
They announced a big dlc with a snowy region with viking-like theme called "Subject 2923" and it will continue/end the story.
it actually has a vr prequel that's a third person action adventure game called chronos. It actually deals with the dragon that the root come from more.

This game is amazing, I played it when the release was so fresh they hadn't even implemented text chat into the game, we simply had to play and expect other players to know how to kill the bosses. A very good game, although their leveling system was questionable at the time.
The whole 10:04 segment with the odd noise is so wholesome that I can't help but to laugh. 10/10

The dog summon is super broken in this game...and I love every goddamn second of it. Plus, doggo gets stronger the more you pet him.

@@jtimms4534 i played and stopped at the last boss cuz i am stuck and its a garbage bullet sponge so 20 hours maybe. the problem is nothing stands out its always the same things over and over even if there are different enemies they are all the same like weak dudes stronger ones and the strong ones that make the sound effect. half of the bosses are just recycled enemies with lots of hp and mob spam. the story feels very generic as far as I can tell. the begining locations are all the same: big area that has 3 paths and 3 dungeons and one of them leads to the next area .... thats just some of the reasons i cant be bothered to type all the other issues like glitches and the garbage weapons and the useless loot....

this incredibly underrated gem of a game got me into soulslikes, I always like hard game, I played tons of roguelikes but always avoided soulslikes. Today after a handfull soulslikes finished I still think of remnant. Unfortunately the legendary Dark Souls didnt give me as much fun as this relatively little and simple game.

This game is just great. I love it and replaying it again atm. First time time cut the tail off of Singe and fought Claviger yesterday. Just couldn't get this guy to spawn for me before
Watching this just makes me want a Souls-like with upbeat Banjo Kazooie music that elevates some of the tension of fighting for your life.

Tip 1: yes, you can sever the dragons tail and use it as a weapon. A pretty cool one at that.
Tip 2: find an insane hermit in a sewer on earth, kill him, and west the mask and talk to the tree speaking the [INCOHERENT TREE LANGUAGE] to get a trait that gives a passive armor buff

This was my third Souls-like after The Surge 2 and Code Vein, and the one thing I love about the game is how seamless it was switching between melee and gunplay, making the combat a joy. Kinda sad though that most of the game didn't jive with me that much, even if I did like it. Seeing this video after now having played through the entire Dark Souls trilogy made me see a good amount of the inspirations Remnant took that I didn't appreciate before.

watching this after I have well over 200 hours in this game, getting regenerator on Gorefist your first play through is rough, also watching you roll away in many cases I know you should roll into was hard to watch. glad you enjoyed this it is one of my favorites. (petting the dog gives you something now in game btw)
This may not be the best game I've ever played, but I enjoyed it and I wish there were more good souls-shooters out there.
The story in this game may be forgettable, but that doesn't matter because killing monsters with magic guns is inherently fun, regardless of whether or not context is present.

This game is awesome. Defo scratches that Dark souls itch when you beat a boss 🙌🏻 I managed to beat Singe first try during my first playthrough which I didn't expect, especially during his intro cutscene. Honestly thought I was gonna get spanked 😅

Ye this game was so much fun played it with some coworkers and had a blast. Picked up the sporebloom( the one shot magazine shotgun you get from the tree boss) stayed with for the whole game and was amazed how much damage it just kept pumping out consistently over the game. God might want to replay it some time again

Honestly dude Id buy it for you if I had the money. Its worth the money. Still has a lot of glitches but overall its fun. It feels very soulslike and everything has attack patterns, I frames, it's really well done.

Well, if he doesn't smoke or drink, and doesn't eat things that are bad for his voice very often.
The human voice barely changes at all past the age of 20 without the influence of outside intervention(eg smoking, vaping, working in a coal mine, mispelling "you're", etc)

About this game - not great, not terrible
I would place it WAAAY above Destininy. It way more satisfying to play, weapons are creative and interesting to use.
As a filler between DS3 and Elden Ring transition it is an awesome game for its price. Yeah it is "AA" or "B" category of game devs BUT we need that kind of games. they can afford so much more brave decisions than AAA and go crazy with concepts.

Other than the performance this game was absolutely awesome. I was just sad certain areas didn't perform that well and always dropped frames regardless of settings. As it stands it wasn't even my PC that was the problem, but DX11 being the choice of API.
