@@dinoshotgun The lore of Remnant is much more clear than Dark Souls and very lore heavy. Meaning, you can read the wiki and acquire all the information you need about pretty much everything.

Crazy thing about this game is i played through that whole Losomn area and i barely had a single boss or experience you guys did! Thats a really incredible thing that they managed to do
Oh man, this was an unexpected nostalgia trip. My first character in Skyrim all the way back in 2011 was a wood elf named Faelin. Need to give this game a go, that boss is gonna hold a special place in my heart for sure.
Fortunately, massive improvements in sequels is a trend I see happen a lot in the souls-like genre! Nioh 2 was significantly more fun than the first, remnant 2 seems to have improved, Surge 2 was better than the first in every way and from the gameplay trailers, it looks like the new lords of the fallen has addressed a lot of the issues with the first game.
@@Waltarwhiet Technically, Remnant II is actually the third entry in the series. Chronos was the first game, and it was initially a VR game at first(dunno why the devs thought that was a good idea.)
I’ve seen both of your videos, Remnant from the ashes and Remnant 2, and it just makes me happy to know that anytime you get any sort of javelin or spear like weapon your first instinct is to shoot your friends face with it, like the crossbow on the previous video.

For real, this is the best part. I wasn't going to watch the video until I remembered that. There is a chance to literally not see any of this during my playthrough.
@@zakhelm5279I’m pretty sure IronPineapple misspoke there. I SERIOUSLY doubt they have entirely different bosses throughout the game like a rogue like or some shit. Watching the video I didn’t notice until The Red Prince boss fight when they mentioned his “Empathy” trait. I’m 1000% certain the only thing randomized is those traits below the bosses like “Empathy” and “Thick Skin”, not the bosses themselves. Those traits under the bosses were not there in the final zone, which lines up with what he MEANT to say. Just discovered this channel, or maybe just paying closer attention, and I have to say, quality content man. I've been a souls fan since long before the genre was defined as "souls-like". And I really enjoy watching your vids in full length. I also solo'd all the games, so seeing you enjoy with friends makes me feel like I missed out on a group with a shared love of this genre.
Hilariously, despite choosing to do so out of laziness, killing Faelin instead of Faerin was the "correct" choice because he's the imposter. You can tell because he drops the "Imposter's Heart" but Faerin drops the "Melded Hilt".
I think they are supposed to be one and the same person, but split apart into 2 different aspects of his personality when the Fae world and the one of the Dran merged. Dialogue from them and other npc's seem to hint at that.

That bit with the final boss reminds me of that one boss from The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile that everyone remembers. I'm glad someone saw that and finally said "Yeah, let's make a final boss like that".
Your video actually convinced me to pick up this game. After 100 hours in the game I came to say this is easily the best souls like I have ever played. They have taken the souls formula and made it their own. And Co-op made this game even more fun.
what i like about remnant is the fact stamina dont get consumed out of battle, what basically keeps a steady pace of your movement until you reach a battle/enemy, so you can pace faster to the next enemys without worrying to have to low stamina on entering a battle.
FINALLY!!! Remnant again! Was kinda sad you didn't acknowledge the alternate kills and rewards the bosses had in the last video, but it was still really fun to watch.
I am being nitpicky, but i cant call it a souls-like. It is "kinda but not really" ( just like Chronos before the Ashes , now that i think about it) and i am actually fine with it!
Idk I think it’s more of a hyrbid game rather than a souls like. There’s some diablo elements in there, souls like elements, elements from their own games, it’s a mesh of stuff that creates an original experience.

What sold me was your wonderful storytelling... and a total coincidence. These videos are an enjoyable study buddy while hitting the books late at night. Sometimes it's Spotify and others its you--tube; lol. I really started tuning in around the Primogenitor boss fight. Seeing a cowboy battling against Lovecraftian horrors cracked me up. Then when you finished the boss with your buddies I went back my notebook. Unknowingly hitting the un-pause button to some synth-wave music with my non dominant hand. That was when the music dropped a beat right as you left the boss arena. Mistaking the music for the game's triumphant soundtrack tricked me into appreciating a simple moment as a miraculous event. Such a good moment
Oh man, this was an unexpected nostalgia trip. My first character in Skyrim all the way back in 2011 was a wood elf named Faelin. Need to give this game a go, that boss is gonna hold a special place in my heart for sure.
This game genuinely looks so good. I love the little stone cube monsters. Plus, that cube boss is actually such a fascinating idea.
You can play this game through multiple times and still see new areas/bosses/items. It's insane.
this honestly looks better than any other game ive seen in years.
I wish more sequels did this
Did what?
@@johnwrath3612This!
@@the_furry_inside_your_walls639 uh, presumably because Facebook helped fund it?
The banter between you guys was so good man. Would love to see more coop with friends content
I’ve seen both of your videos, Remnant from the ashes and Remnant 2, and it just makes me happy to know that anytime you get any sort of javelin or spear like weapon your first instinct is to shoot your friends face with it, like the crossbow on the previous video.
I can't remember the last time I enjoyed every minute of an hour long video. What a group dynamic, what a game!
The game just oozes creativity, I love the varied boss and enemy design so much. Watching them try and fail to jump into the sewer pipe was hilarious ahaha
Remnant 1 was awesome, and this one looks flat-out incredible!
If only I had friends to play with, eh? 😬
Trust me you will find some fast and play for hours.
Yeah, it sucks being so aspirated and separated from one another in our toxic society.

So Happy that they decided to sponsorise u for this realease u deserve it !!!! (and everyone know it's a banger of its genre and a great souls who need a review :p )
That's such a dense collection of really cool mechanics, and I like the style.
Really proud of this studio!! So great when an underdog company come out and within a few games seem to have done well for themselves 😊
I don't think this will be the last we will see Gunfire Games producing a quality, fun game
When the world didnt expect Pineapple to return, he blessed us after 3 weeks with 1 hour video
I love this, the enemies are all unique, the bosses are very different from each other
each boss had a different move set, weakness, gimmick and design
once you defeat a boss you get their ability to use yourself
you have CHOICES, you get to choose if you want to do what the boss is trying to make you do or you try and kill them
and best of all: YOU GET TO SHOOT YOUR FRIENDS!
😊
I just found this channel and i am a fan now 😂. This was a great video you and your buddies had me rolling on the floor laughing while keeping me entertained with the overall gameplay of the game. It was great.
such a fun video, it's a joy seeing you play with friends you should do more of this stuff!
The fact that I can watch this whole video then play it myself and have a completely different experience is snazingly cool.
Marketing team for the game misinformed him or he misspoke but there is no way in hell this game has any different bosses than what was shown
@@abuck7909i saw ign review saying that it is also different bosses as well as different "buffs" for the boss. not sure how different it can get but atleast people seems to be getting different campaigns unless they play coop together
@@sleepyboy__ probably minibosses only, which aren’t “real” bosses. I don’t know how they could do the same story while changing the main bosses. It’s all a marketing ploy for no real reason. Most people would be perfectly fine with having a well made, streamlined, and scripted experience from a game like this
@@abuck7909 in the first game I had completely different area bosses on my second playthrough
Wow the boss fights are amazing. Not just the boss designs but the entire boss arena as well.
Now I feel bad
I think they are supposed to be one and the same person, but split apart into 2 different aspects of his personality when the Fae world and the one of the Dran merged. Dialogue from them and other npc's seem to hint at that.
@@TheBruceKnie yeah but the one true king is
1. Not entirely dead but more of corpse emperor of mankind situation
2. In the malefic realm where faerin is and where it looks like there was an actual insurrection that happened.
@@ernestrenroelabad5023 I agree on the one true king, but I wasn't referring to him. I meant the situation with Faelin and Faerin and everyone being kind of confused about who is the king now. I guess I was a bit vague with my statement.
Faelin and Faerin are the same person
The effects on the attacks/particles are awesome, I love the beam at 32:40
Do you know if the particles are PhysX particles or does this also look just as awesome on AMD graphics/Intel as well?
Yaay! I was so bummed out when I picked the medic cause I was too far into the campaign to start over and I wanted a puppy but I'm super stoked now that I see u get to pick a second class. I'm definitely getting a puppy. I'm glad to see you guys are enjoying the game too. I love it.
Obviously I'm late but you can even switch out your main class
That bit with the final boss reminds me of that one boss from The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile that everyone remembers. I'm glad someone saw that and finally said "Yeah, let's make a final boss like that".
This is the most coolest I've ever seen today and it's making me pump up with all the gameplays you've shown
Your video actually convinced me to pick up this game. After 100 hours in the game I came to say this is easily the best souls like I have ever played. They have taken the souls formula and made it their own. And Co-op made this game even more fun.

Definitely picking this up, thanks for showcasing it!
what i like about remnant is the fact stamina dont get consumed out of battle, what basically keeps a steady pace of your movement until you reach a battle/enemy, so you can pace faster to the next enemys without worrying to have to low stamina on entering a battle.
FINALLY!!! Remnant again! Was kinda sad you didn't acknowledge the alternate kills and rewards the bosses had in the last video, but it was still really fun to watch.
i loved the first game soooo much and i am so existed for this!

@@tylerbenjamin3842 hahaha well i misspelled obviously, but this kinda makes sense too!
Finally, a souls like game worthy of being called a souls-like and an upgrade from the first.
Procedural level generation is the exact opposite of From's skillfully and incredibly carefully crafted level design.
@@TheCrewExpendable its not quite procedural. its still handcrafted levels, just slightly random which ones you get.
I am being nitpicky, but i cant call it a souls-like. It is "kinda but not really" ( just like Chronos before the Ashes , now that i think about it) and i am actually fine with it!
From a AA studio! I really hope they keep it up seems like they have a talented team with a vision.
Idk I think it’s more of a hyrbid game rather than a souls like. There’s some diablo elements in there, souls like elements, elements from their own games, it’s a mesh of stuff that creates an original experience.
Didn't get around to watching it as it was uploaded, but man I should have, this is one of my new all-time favourite videos of yours! Maybe even videos period!

On another note cool video are we gonna get more gameplay?
