I had a hip replacement some 8 weeks ago. Restless and aching calfs. Magnesium helped a lot.

Thanks for letting us know what you took. My friend has just had a hip operation and it's driving her nuts with the restless leg. This video is so informative, but the magnesium is a great help thanks.

3 months post-op and just started getting restless leg syndrome. That combined with my hip still hurting when I wake up leads to some pretty bad nights rest

I have had two total knee replacements & both times experienced restless legs. It is a horrible feeling. Thankfully it disappeared after a few months of being fully recovered

I am still having some pain 14 weeks after hip replacement surgery, not too bad and
intermittent but it’s irritating. I am still doing the exercises. I am an 80 year old lady.
I also can’t bend down very far as it hurts.

Give it time. It can take a year to 18 months to recover fully.

Operation 2 , rite hip Nov 2, first one healed fantastic , strong now.
Heading back to work as a bricklayer hopefully February, any advice doc when I go back to work

That’s a tough job to go back to after 2 THR! February sounds reasonable. Once you have completed the post surgery rehab at about 6 weeks, ask the physio to work with you on core strengthening exercises (back, abdomen) and your shoulders. Ask if you can phase your return to work until you are match fit again. Having 2 big operations close together knocks the stuffing out of you so be kind to yourself! Let us know how you get on.
