I've added acoustic foam panels which help with the audio while also giving my room some style!
I think my studio is even smaller and I use the trick to film with the cornes of the room on my back and it creates a lot of separation form the background. BTW nice trick with the moving carpet. Just what i needed to get better audio. Getting a couple of them right now. Great video as always.

I realize it's quite randomly asking but does anybody know a good site to watch new series online?
Oh. My. Days. This is an eye opener. I second all the comments about needing that stand!!
Video is dropping Wednesday on it! Can't wait to share!

True!! Thanks for checking it out!
I just love you guys the fact that os not just 1 person but all of you giving different perceptive and allowing us to choose which one works for it so awesome
Nolan, great work! Can’t wait to see the followup on the one stand setup. For a larger space, that could be a cool setup to put on locking casters to wheel around.
Exaclty!! And yes, the video is dropping this week!
Awesome advice, thanks. Quote - Consistency comes from authenticity.
You guys are amazing. Thanks so much for your teachings. I'm blessed to witness this.
As always you provide excellent advice. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day. 😊
During the lockdown we converted our dining room into a studio to stream yoga classes on zoom & RUclips, Sony a7iii with a wide tamron Lens really helped, we also use 2 dressing partitions screens to to absorb sound, thanx this was a great video 🙏🏽
I made a walk in closet my studio. Watching this to help with the process. Thanks for the tips.
THanks, this clamp is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the link!
So badass, so creative! Thank you for sharing.
Super helpful as I'm thinking about how to make the most of a room that's 8.6ft square... I had actually thought that having everything on one stand would be the best route but I really like the extra tips too!
Great tips. I love the moving blanket idea as a way to absorb sound!
Appreciate that you were able to pack in so much in your room/ video. Thank you.
Thanks!
Thanks Nolan, love your videos!
That is an awesome setup on a stand. The whole room a simple clean and effective, MIND BLOWN !
Really appreciate that! Yes, the setup on a stand has changed my life! haha!
Is the stand setup in the links?
Wide angle lens, and the adjustable arm look like they'd sure come in handy. 😊
That is exactly what I was thinking!
They for sure do!
This is fantastic, very helpful, thank you

Fantastic video. Thanks. I am also filming in a very small room - probably about the same size as yours. The lens is crucial. It can make a huge difference. I am also filming about 1.5 to 2 feet from the camera, but it seems so much further. It can really create a sense of space. The acoustics are also a major problem in a small space. Sound just bounces around a small space. I invested in a good mic and some really good quality sound absorption panels. (Not the foam stuff.) You can get some really nice ones that almost look like art work! (If you are in Europe, I really recommend Addictive Sound. Really good quality and nicely made. Not sure if they ship to the US.)

I love the moving blanket idea! So much better looking and easier than those foam sound boards
Agreed! And those foam boards can peel paint off the wall when taking them down!

@@user-yd2fo9uh2k Nice to know
I've actually invested in a tube stretching wall spreader which holds all my light and my top down camera. It's the best thing I've ever sent money on. Now I'm not constantly kicking c-stands with my foot or tripping over them. It's a good idea to get everything in a corner or up off the floor, especially in smaller studios. Great ideas here!

Great video!
Hey Nolan! Thanks for the video. I actually got the same friction arm and mounted my Canon M50 onto it. For those who intend on buying this item, be warned - it was a challenge for me to keep it leveled. It's easier to level a camera on a tripod, but hanging it from the hot shoe is a different ball game. The weight of the M50 with the screen swung out causes the camera to tilt while on this friction arm. My recorded video shows me on a slant. You can keep the screen behind the camera to maintain balance or you can eye ball it and tilt the camera a little more upwards and then tighten the friction arm, so that when you let go from adjusting the camera, the camera will tilt to a level spot. If anyone experienced otherwise, I would love to hear about your setup so I can try a different workaround.
This is the exact video I need! 👍
I have a tiny room too and struggling to optimize the use of space for RUclips related work.
Nice, glad it helped!

Great work 👍
This set of videos had been useful. I'm trying to work out how to do a set up for filming art and craft videos.
Looks great! 👌🏻 RUclips Office goals 💥 Maybe in 2021?! 🙋🏻♀️
Thanks!
Need to get a shelf clamp like that, good tip
Very good setup. I noticed your tripod stand kit or whatever you call it 😁 so very nice . I'm looking something like that to save space . And I'm surprise how small is your space .it's not obvious in your videos . Smart tips . Thank you
Wow... I actually never thought about using an articulating arm and attaching it to the hot shoe of the camera. Thanks for the tips!!
Glad you found it helpful!
I love the setups 😌🌸🌿🌸🌿🌸😌
I plan to turn part of my living room into a film space. This is helpful!
Awesome!!
V cool setup
I bought a sideways boom arm for my tripod and a counterweight to essentially allow me to use a tripod behind a couch but have the camera above the couch. Which is exactly whwew I need it since my studio is in the corner.
Got the idea from seeing boom mic stands that clamp to a desk for microphones.
Can also be used for top down shots!
Good info! Thanks!
Thanks for the tips
Really good advice, as always!
Thanks!
Still way bigger than my studio, but I just keep it simple for myself and I record on my sofa in the basement. We don't need a big set up to be good! I keep all my equipment with me in here too, lights, camera and everything. That stand is pretty bad ass!
Oh nice! And yes, I love it!
I have stuck LED strips on the wall above my monitors on a dimmer. Great for Zoom meetings as I now have a light directly on my face and cost less than £20.
So bright I hardly ever turn on the ceiling light now.
Streamyard is definitely cool!!!

Some really cool ideas and finds here. Thanks!\
Great tips.
Oh woow I always though I need a tripod for recording but now I got c stand and saw your idea of 1 whole set (with arm) now that's super space saving and less setup 😂💕
Great video.
Nice video overall. I really enjoyed it.
4:45 can't help but noticed the power extension wire on the floor.
Wow, I would have never thought it was an 8x10! Great work.
Great work Nolan, as always! I love the tips for small offices!
I'm thinking about upgrading my camera from my smartphone to a Canon M50. I plan on getting the Sigma 16mm lens that you recommend. My question is, should I also get the kit lens to do "selfies" at arm's length, or will the wide-angle lens work for that too?
Great home studio!
You make such good use out of the space! Would be awesome to get a RUclips stand! Great tips
I agree, that RUclips stand seems very practical!
Thank you, can't wait to share with you guys how I've built it!
Setting up my small office now
this video is amazing! I knew only about wide lenses, other stuff from this video I didn't think about and will use for sure because I have 10 square meters room for my studio :) But I have to put couch too, hope it will be possible haha
Awesome, i loved. I got small space where i teach guitar and i m about to do vídeos there, years ago i used to do videos in uge music Store but now i got to make at home. Thanks for your sharing
