Did look a bit risky on those stacked up dodgy! As someone who broke their leg at work stepping off something about the same height, and years later still feels the pain - this gave me some concerns seeing it too!
Haven't had a fall injury, unless you count being thrown from my bike after getting hit by a car, but the minute I saw that dodgy improvised ladder I was thinking "this looks like a fall waiting to happen why do you not have a small step ladder"

Lightmode is giving me the feeling of like "This is some serious information in the video". But dark mode is like "This Dude is chilling in some kind of lounge and watching some Videos. I'm going to join him and watch some stuff.
So I would use light mode for more serious stuff, revievs, tutorials,.. Darkmode is more for "Filmmaker Reacts..." "Critiquing your Videos" ...

I just graduated from a bachelor's degree this year. I have yet to fully decide whether to continue a masters degree or find work by September. But I decided to work on a project of mine which is filming videos about self-development on RUclips. I've already uploaded 6 and will keep doing so over the summer. Loved this video. I'd love to see something like "How to Prioritize Accessories to Purchase with $xxxx" series where you up the number every time. Obviously most of us don't go out and buy all our gear at once, so it would be awesome seeing an insight as to the order you bought every piece in. Would make for an interesting video for sure!

You can use a clamp and a friction arm to attach the camera and the microphone to the desk, so that you can film while on the standing desk

When you said „hair light“ I was thinking of some sort of very thin light. Didn‘t imagine it‘s actually meant to light your hair 😁👍🏻 Personally I like the brighter setup more. But both is great. 👍🏻
Set-up looks great! I prefer the dark set-up the most. I would say that you need to knock-down the hair light a bit more in the dark set-up, especially with the hat off. Cheers!!

Smash it 2020 style? That's barely touching the screen and it cracks, cuts your finger, you tell ouch while stubbing your toe on the bookcase, which leads to the bookcase falling over and turning on the oven, then burning your house down and starting the biggest fire in history. 🤷♂️

I have always incorporated hair lights in my set ups, when I was in college and had access to a studio. They definitely help with creating separation between the subject and the background. This new studio set up is great. I thought the previous set up was great too.
Peter, it looks like you still have a TINY little bit of a hot spot from the hair light peeking into the frame. When you were turning it on and off it was just noticeable.
To be exact the back light separates the subject from the background. The hair light is just a bit more "icing on the cake" when necessary.
